Deeply disappointed

Deeply disappointed. Long time customers (20 years). Usually get flowers but saw they had desserts (strawberries and cake with icing etc) and thought that would make a good change as a birthday gift. It was supposed to arrive on my friend's birthday, it arrived late, the next day. No one was home to receive it, so the delivery person just left it at the door in the sun, no attempt to text or email that it had been delivered, nor no attempt to re-deliver when home. When my friend finally got home, the food was ruined - all melted, unedible. When I complained to ProFlowers they offered to give me money back/ refund (at first 30% and then an additional 20%, ie 50% back). On a $77 order, that should have been $38.50, what they actually sent me was $27.90 (I don't know how they came up with that figure, probably minus the shipping, but even then the numbers don't match). I know they think giving me some money back should satisfy. It does not. They should have refunded me the entirety of the order, including shipping. They were late in delivering, and the delivery failed miserably - no text, no call, nothing. It's their fault, they should refund. I've bought flowers for years with them. I shouldn't have to convince them to do the right thing, nor have to haggle over how much they'll refund me, they should just do it. They just lost a long time customer. I recommend you not use them too. They are not the company I remember anymore. They've gotten too big to really care. They are not much more than an online broker of other florists and other providers around the country. Don't use a "broker" like ProFlowers (nor FTD, which is their parent company). I'll try calling local florists/bakeries direct next time.

Not a reputable business

My daughter sent me flowers for my birthday. She was under the impression that they came from a local florist. The flowers that were sent to me in New Jersey were sent from Illinois with nothing in place to keep them moist! By the first morning half of them were dead! And the vase they sent them in had a rounded bottom, so I couldn't use it or the flowers would fall over.
My daughter requested a refund and all they would give her was 50%. This is no way to do business.
Also, the customer service people were very hard to understand. I had to ask them to repeat themselves numerous times.
I would not recommend this company to anyone.
