A selfish company who do not contribute…
A selfish company who do not contribute in any way whatsoever to the local shopping community. Ferndown village Poundland selfishly only provide parking for their customers in a large car park at the back of the shops. Ferndown as a whole has many small shops and traders who benefit from footfall, as does Poundland. When did anyone leave home just to visit Poundland. I suspect the management team at Poundland will never read this, let alone have the ability to understand the problem or have the capacity to contribute to the retail community within which they operate. This is a business simply trading off the footfall of other useful businesses, such as hairdressers, barbers, coffee shops, butchers etc, and yet want to 'hog' the parking for themselves and capture number plates of cars not even using their 'personal' parking facility. A disgrace to the town. This building should be released to a business that contributes to the community rather than take take take.
Great overall service
I shop regularly in poundland Alloa. Staff are very friendly and shop is clean and tidy. I had to contact customer services today and they were brilliant. Issue resolved very quickly and staff polite and professional. Loving the poundland perks spin to win.
Staff are rude
Good prices (only at reduced prices, I only really buy household items, sandwiches and drinks here) and the staff most of the time are quite rude at the one closest to me, they laughed at me once and I actually felt quite insulted. I’d recommend shopping elsewhere, for example home bargains if there is one in your area. :)

AVOID SHOPPING AT POUNDLAND !!!
I had a very bad shopping experience with Poundland.
I bought many items and spent almost £40, but later decided to return most of it.
I asked for a refund, but I had no receipt because at the time I purchased the items, the cashier never gave me a receipt. My bank statement showed that I made a purchase, but despite that, the Poundland manager refused to give me a refund.
I am very disappointed and totally shocked.
I will never again buy anything from Poundland.
BUYERS BE AWARE !!! AVOID SHOPPING AT POUNDLAND !!!

Smells like urine
Hi, I went to pound land in Bolton and it stank of urine all through the shop, very disappointed. The staff where okay but the smell! Come on poundland you are letting your standards go it's really bad. You have gone nose blind!

What is the point of having an online discount store like POUNDLAND where people can only buy small amounts of certain products for example 1 bag-5 packets of fish n chip crisps or 8 pot noodles. People nowadays use online companies to bulk buy and save money plus with PL's £50 for free delivery limit it really restricts the customers choice. If they want to be successful doing this then it really needs sorting out. Personally i have stopped using them and gone elsewhere.

Staff are shockingly terrible at their jobs at the Camberley store. Rude, can’t tell anyone’s ages. I’m in my 30s and got ID’ed for red bull. They honestly haven’t got a clue, and it shows. Their google reviews also show this a repeat problem.
Train your staff better!

I found the women on the till at Poundland in Exeter very helpful and kind when I needed to exchange a T shirt I had accidentally picked up in the wrong size. They chatted about the products with enthusiasm and their positive attitude was a credit to the store.
Never any problems
I've shopped online with poundland and have never had any issues with the service or the products. Given their circumstances I will always be happy to shop here.
I'd like to give Zero
I'd like to give Zero, but can't. Complete waste of time contacting them we're useless just kept telling me that I knew already. Issue never resolved gave up dealing with them through e msil for 2 weeks!
From the time customer service did deal…
From the time customer service did deal with a complaint to ripping people off, to charging £5 for items that should be £2, to selling items that were a £1 to selling the same items for £2, and then to show everyone how they have ripped you off, they then sell the bussness for £1 that show how they made their trillions by ripping the public off, they are able to sell the company for £1, ypu can't make this stuff up im glad I stopped shopping there years ago, I been waiting for this day, that they would close down

Customer service is a joke, no help at all. Spent 2 weeks going back forth in e mails and got nowhere

I've used this shop more or less since it opened and no it's not perfect but who is ?
However I know they're filling their shelves with allsorts of stuff and it's hard to get out without spending a fortune but the staff are fantastic just a pity there isn't a few more of them because they're run ragged trying to keep on tol of everything. Shelf filling, few tills open, customers having problems on these flaming automatic tills, they're a nightmare and if I'd to listen to that voice telling me to do this and do that all day long I'd have punched it's screen in long ago.
I picked up a couple of items I've bought in a well known Chemist's brand for years. Prices have of course doubled since I went in last but Poundland now have them for less than the original price so I grabbed several of each to make sure I don't run out ! Probably the best value lunch deal I've ever found too. £3 for the lot !! Fantastic prawn salad box which would fill a giant and really good brands to go with it so why anyone would go anywhere else for dinners beyond me !!
Poundland riverside Northampton
Went to Poundland yesterday. Got to the checkout with a large queue. Two people on. One finished her sale and then left leaving the other poor girl (Kim) on her own. Kim kept pressing her bell for assistance but no one came. I wanted to walk out, but my wife would not let me. Kim did brilliantly under the circumstance greeting all the customers with a friendly smile while pressing the bell. The lady who left should have finished at 12 but had stayed on for half an hour because no one came to assist. It says in store and on the receipt fill in a review on our website tell-us. Went to the website but there is nowhere to fill in a review another con.
Poundland Online service
This is for Poundland Online service:
I have mobility issues and can't carry a lot of shopping, so I do most of mine online once a month, I was really pleased when Poundland finally jumped on board and offered a delivery service, as they hadn't previously done this, however, when I filled my basket to make my monthly order, (which is usually 4 lots of everything for my bathroom and kitchen) it refused to allow you to purchase more than 1 or 2, items at a time, things like washing up liquid or toilet tissues that people need to stock up on for the month... one of the points of getting an online delivery, is that you can don't have to carry your own shopping and can stock up monthly; do they expect people to get a weekly shop at £5 for every delivery? Absolutely ridiculous
