Poor communication and missing parcel – No responsibility taken

I am extremely disappointed with the service from Polarn O. Pyret. I placed an order (GB15327354) and was promised a separate email with a tracking number upon dispatch. That email never arrived.
I only received the tracking details 10 days after the delivery attempt, and only because I proactively reached out to ask where my order was. Because I wasn't provided with the tracking information beforehand, I had no way to reschedule the delivery or manage the "Safeplace" option while I was away during the Easter break.
The parcel was left unattended in an unauthorized location for days without my knowledge and is now missing. Despite explaining this clear communication failure to their customer service, they refused to take any responsibility, claiming the delivery was "completed." and ignored every word i said, just repeating their point.

As a retailer, you have a duty to ensure the customer can track their delivery, especially when you explicitly promise to provide those details. I am now forced to escalate this through my bank. Very poor experience for a first-time customer.

After a thorough review, including delivery confirmation, images and location data from the carrier, we can confirm that the parcel was delivered in line with the selected delivery method and preferences. As stated in our terms and conditions, we’re unable to take responsibility for parcels delivered to a designated safe place or left at the property with the recipient’s consent. For this reason, our decision remains unchanged.

We’re very sorry that this experience did not meet your expectations, and that we have not been able to offer the resolution you were hoping for.

The customer service has been very…

The customer service has been very disappointing. I was not provided with a tracking number, and although the system shows the parcel as delivered, it has not arrived. There is no way to contact support other than an online form, and I have not received any response.

Order placed 2 weeks ago for over £100

Order placed 2 weeks ago for over £100, last email said it was dispatched 2 weeks ago but no tracking provided. There is no way to contact them other than emails which they don’t respond to. I’m going to have to do a charge back with my bank! The clothes are great quality but terrible customer service.

Misleading delivery dates

Misleading delivery dates. I placed an order selecting tracked 48 hours delivery. That was a week ago. Even accounting for the weekend, that waiting time is misleading. So far not even a tracking link. This is a sub par service for a company charging a premium for their items. I tried contacting customer service and mid way through typing the message I was cut off with a message saying there are too many customers trying to get in touch atm... on chat.

Not the best customer service

I ordered three items from the outlet section of their website, but only one was delivered. When I checked the delivery email, I noticed that the other two items had been removed from my order without any explanation.

I immediately went back to the website to see if they were out of stock, but both items were still available. I had justified the delivery cost in my mind based on receiving three items, so ending up with just one item—almost equal in value to the delivery fee—was disappointing.

I contacted customer service through their online form three days ago and have yet to receive a response. Overall, not a great experience.

Non-existant customer service

Ordered items in the childrens sale on December 16th. Did not recieve a working link to track my order from the company, they eventually provided this after I requested it three times. The tracking number they provided then showed no updates from the 13th of January onwards. When contacting the Merchant they provided a picture of delivery, provided to them from GLS, that displayed the package left outside on the ground beside a gate. I don't blame the Merchant for the delivery location, but they have provided no solution to the fact that I have not recieved my order and I've had to do a chargeback.

Still waiting for my order of baby…

Still waiting for my order of baby clothes after 8 weeks. The delivery is so dreadful it really does seem like a scam.
Realistically with a newly arrived baby the clothes will soon be unwearable due to growth.
I have bought significant amounts of PO.P from Fenwick for three other children and the products are great. And I have bought things for the new baby PO.P this week from Fenwick. But I’ll never be suckered to using online again. Someone needs to be shown the exit at PO.P surely?
Compensation not mentioned.
I eventually received a refund after realising that the customer service agent , despite trying, couldn’t seem to get the warehouse to make the delivery. I think that she was really nonplussed by her experience with the warehouse. So yes a legitimate company. What is going wrong when there are such amazing products, which we still buy in the store- but not online.
Received a digital £10 gift card via the person who tried to get my delivery resolved- thanks!

Great quality products but DONT BUY…

Great quality products but DONT BUY ONLINE! Customer service are disgraceful very bad I have order a lot clothes to my son 3 weeks already I don’t have a tracking link. And no answer to my emails. It seems like a SCAM

Great clothing but customer service is terrible

Great clothing but customer service is absolutely awful. Family member kindly gifted us a gift card but it won’t work in store or online. Have left a message with customer service and no response. Logged on to the online chat (only open from 8-10am!!!) and they say they can’t help me because it’s too busy. No phone number to reach anyone. If you are that busy then hire more staff! We are now left with a gift card we can’t use.

Very poor communication ..

I have never previously had a problem with this company but this time I have not received the order I placed a month ago and although there was an email immediately after the order to say there would be a delay the payment was taken and there is no way to contact the company although I tried to email for a refund or at least more information I just get a standard response . This is very disappointing and I will not risk using them again .

No update on my order

The items looked amazing online and I paid for Royal Mail 48hr service however there is no sign of the item having been dispatched yet (order placed 5 days ago) and no one is replying to my email requesting an update on the order or delivery. When paying a premium for goods, you kind of hope the service matches.

Disgusting customer service

After being a loyal customer of this company for over 9 years I was absolutely horrified at the customer service I have been given over the past 10 days .
In September I bought two ski coats from POP and one of them is faulty . The stitching on the inside of the coat as come apart. I have sent multiple messages and images to the customer service team and they take a ridiculous amount of time to respond back . I repeatedly stated that I either would like a refund or an exchange . The customer service advisor I have been speaking with completely ignores what I say each time and states that because it’s a “sustainable company” they recommend repair . I was told that I needed to go out and find a repairer and get it repaired . This is simply unacceptable to expect the customer to go out and repair a faulty item when it is their responsibility and they have admitted the item was faulty.
I am both shocked and appalled by the service I have received and horrified that I spent £115 on a coat that is faulty and I am expected to repair it myself !

Avoid buying from this company!

As part of our sustainability work, we sometimes recommend a repair when a garment is fully functional and the issue can be easily fixed without affecting performance. In this case our intention was simply to offer a practical and environmentally friendly solution not to dismiss your request or place the responsibility on you.

We’re not insisting on a repair, and I’m really sorry if it felt like your wishes were being ignored. We have also provided alternative solutions in case a repair doesn’t suit you.

Used to love, but will not shop again

Used to love their adult pyjamas, bought every year. However last year got pyjamas as present from my husband in my usual size s and the waist was so tiny that was not comfortable to wear. The pyjamas are not cheap either.
Contacted cs and was told that their pyjamas sizes change, sometimes due to customer feedback? Was given following information -relaxed fit of more snug pyjamas waist is 31cm, the ones I received was 28cm at most. In size xs maybe, but not in size s(8-10).
You can not find the measurements on website either. Very misleading.
