I unsubscribed from Play as they used to be the cheapest around, not so now and the marketing is random & when you enter the website you just get lists and lists of irrelevant items. Shame as I liked them when they launched, I use Amazon now.

Stuff which is supposedly in stock takes an age to arrive. Conning people into placing orders really.

I've only ordered once from Play and the order took a little while to be delivered. I don't find Play cheap, hence why I don't shop there, though they always do seem to have offers or sales on.

I used to use Play for most of my media purchases, right back to when they were Play247. However, as with pretty much everyone on the planet, when it came to belt-tightening and purse-string-tightening, it became necessary to shop around for better deals and lower prices. I still continued to use Play occasionally, but one incident at the end of 2011 (that is still ongoing) has pretty much convinced me that they will not be receiving my patronage in the future, and I will make it my business to shout from the rooftops to ensure friends and family know about the terrible customer services I have recently received.

I ordered an item at the end of November 2011, nothing fancy or expensive, which hadn't arrived by the end of December 2011. I informed them, and they told me I needed to print off a form, sign it, post it back, and they'd consider it (in these days of internet shopping, why use snail mail?!). Anyway, I did so, and left it a bit. Nothing. I mailed them again. They said they hadn't had the form and to reprint it. I had to ask for another one to be e-mailed to me, which they did and I sent again. Nothing. I ended up ringing them and got someone who barely understood what I was calling about. Eventually I got through the language barrier and they said I needed to send the form yet again. Which I did. And now, over 4 months since my first reporting the missing item, I STILL haven't had anything from them.

I've sent them one final email, and have advised that I would be looking into taking further action - a call to my local CAB has assured my that I CAN take further action, even over such a small amount.

Best with both products and service

I always come to Play first when shopping for DVD's, CD's, Clothing and Toys. It's not always the cheapest but with the free delivery and constant reliability I generally stay with them (unless there's a big price difference - which is very rare). The returns (if you need to do one) are easy to do and the money is refunded within days. Excellent customer service!

Everytime ive used them never really had a problem. the only minor problem i had was that once i ordered a product and selected express delivery and was guaranted next day however it never came next day. Then i placed another order the next day and selected standard delivery and somehow the standard delivery arrived first :S. Delivery did turn up eventually. Other than that all my other orders ive been pretty happy with.

I recently bought a TV through a PlayTrade seller, my first time using this service. Unfortunately the TV I ordered wasn't quite what I needed but the customer service I received was exceptional. They arranged collection on the same day as my initial email and I was refunded the next day. Superb service and highly recommended even though it wasn't directly with Play!

Always quite liked play.com.. fast delivery swift service easy to use.. however lately the service has dropped and the customer service has dissappeared. Spoke to a very rude lady who couldnt and wasnt about to try and help.. dissapointing Play.com, disappointing..!

Play is a great company to order from and generally i look at Play and Amazon to find which is offering the best deal.
My one gripe with play would be the slow delivery times on some occasions, im not sure if this is down to slow despatch or the postal service.

I've always had good experiences ordering from Play.com, and recommended them to many friends and family. The website is good, the descriptions accurate, prices are excellent and delivery is always free. I will continue to purchase from and recommend this site.

I have updated this because Play.com is abysmal. Avoid this site if you don`t want hassle and items not arriving. Worst website I can think of.

Didnt know they had been taken over since the last time I had Ordered from them, had a item that didnt arrive they have the worst customer service team ever based somewere in outer mongolia!!!

From No on I will aviod Play.com at all cost even if it cost me more eles where!!

If you want dvd's music books and a whole lot more then goto play the service is great they are the best site to buy from!!
