When my long-standing adviser left SJP, they passed my pension and investments to Pinnacle, a firm I'd never heard of, without asking me. I learned about it from a Pinnacle voicemail before SJP had told me anything, and the contact details in Pinnacle's follow-up email were wrong.
I should have been consulted about who looks after my money. Neither firm handled this well. I'm moving with my old adviser, whom I trust.
Completely incompetent, though hard to tell what is them and what has been SJP. We were transferred to them for financial advice by St James’s Place, without our consent, even though we had never heard of them and they are based over 4 hours drive away.. They have a total lack of attention to detail. Despite being asked to not contact us we regularly get emails from them. They don’t seem to have our interests at heart
