Wrong item sent and wrong refund

Ordered black trousers and socks, got a green fleece. Took over a week to be even sent out which was too late to use. Returned immediately and been given a £20 refund for a £34 order. Shambles of a set up

Wrong item - tough luck

I ordered black walking trousers for my wife. I was sent a blue top. When I called Customer Service I was told I would get a refund when I returned them. I said I would like the item I ordered. Not possible. Have to have a refund and re-order. Unlikely to be with us before our holiday. So, I looked at the return label - not Freepost. I appreciate things go wrong, but companies will be judged on how they fix problems. Peter Storm / Millets / Whoever clearly don't care. The Customer Service agent was great, though. This is precisely why Amazon is taking over online shopping...

Lost return

I ordered a jacket through the website. When I received it I discovered that I had ordered the wrong size so I sent a message via the Peter Storm website about how I could return the jacket but received no reply. I ended up returning the parcel via inpost who confirmed delivery on the 23rd of March. I've been told that no such delivery has been received back at the warehouse and are refusing to investigate or communicate with inpost. Terrible service and now I've lost my money.

Dreadful service!!

Returned an item due to incorrect size, received a refund for the postage but not the item, after many e-mails I received confirmation that they agreed they had made a mistake and promised to correct. Seven weeks later and still not received my refund! Opened a case on PayPal and they’re even ignoring that, shocking customer service, shameful!

Absolutely awful customer service.

Absolutely awful customer service.
You return an item and then they go silent, hoping that you will forget that you requested a refund.
I waited over a month for my first refund from them.
Returned faulty shoes recently and again, they have gone silent and are unresponsive.
You should avoid millets and Blacks at any cost.

Go Outdoors

Order only part supplied without notification.
Had to chase for update to be told no stock, would credit.
Chased for credit after no sign on statement 4 weeks later, 'not processed due to error would process'.
Credit not received on statement 4 weeks later. Have chased but have no confidence in anything they say. Will send to card provider to chase.
Would I recommend any of the Millets Group, NO.
Go Outdoors took order and supplied in full with excellent despatch/delivery information.
Absolute shambles from beginning to end.
Some companies should stick to the high street.

I wouldn’t actually give any stars

I wouldn’t actually give any stars. I had a faulty jacket that customer services advised me to return to their returns dept. I returned the coat at my expense in March 2021 it’s now mid April. Despite sending lots of emails to them. It’s obvious from their replies that they don’t actually read the emails. I didn’t buy it online I bought it from a shop they keep asking for my order number to advance my enquiry and online billing address plus my email address which is on the email I sent!!’ aghhh!!!! Every day I say the same thing they just send generic emails. I have not received my refund they have my jacket and it wasn’t cheap. I have actually cried with frustration and it’s now affecting my mental health. I will NEVER buy anything from them again.

Problem sorted now and thank you to the staff.

If there was an option to leave zero stars I, and I’m sure hundreds of others, would take that option.
I bought a pair of walking boots 14 months ago and they are falling apart at the seams, literally!
Yesterday I contacted their “customer service “ via email and sent them 5 photos showing the soles were hardly worn (not used that much clearly),but also showing that the stitching had broken, the walls of the uppers was extensively cracked and the welding between the upper and the sole had parted company.
I was amazed to get a reply in a matter of a couple of hours from Aleksandra, but it was only to tell me in so many words that they weren’t prepared to do anything about it.
Walking boots that can’t last longer than 14 months of very low mileage is a disgrace.
Do not consider buying Peter Storm products! Look at the reviews on here first! AVOID!

Update:
Another prompt reply from Peter Storm (Millets?):-

"You will need to return the boots for an inspection by the shop you had bought them in".

Update 2:
Further the above, between the guys at Millets, Llandudno and at Betws Y Coed my problem has been sorted and I have been given a credit note to the original cost for which I was thankful.
I would now like to say that I would recommend Millets and Blacks Outdoors (same company) for buying clothes etc, but from my experience I couldn't recommend their own brand items -Peter Storm.

2 orders, 4 months apart and no delivery.

Last year I tried to order a coat for myself (a replacement for a previous PS coat). After 3 attempts at placing my order - it was cancelled every time - and numerous emails with customer services (I was told each time there was stock and to re-order) I gave up and bought my coat elsewhere.
Last weekend my husband wanted to replace his PS jacket. I ignored my better judgement and placed the order. No communication for 8 days (I had set up an account so I could track my order, but the order was not even in my account) and this evening it was refunded. I know there is no point contacting customer services as they offer platitudes but have no autonomy to actually do anything to fulfil an order.
I’m sure that the jacket we have just ordered from their competitor will arrive very soon.
It seems to me that the people running this company are trying to destroy it as all they do is infuriate their customers who consequently go elsewhere. It’s a shame as the products are good. We won’t bother trying again.

I have given them 1 because I don't…

I have given them 1 because I don't have the option for zero stars. Ordered from them and then had lots of text messages to say processing my order. Then nothing and suddenly received a refund with no explanation. Thought maybe it's just current times and really wanted the item ordered, so I ordered again and it took them 11 days to take the money and 2 days after this I log onto my Peter storm account and I see the order is cancelled with no email or text with a reason. I contact customer service who say the stock levels only update every 2 minutes and my item was out of stock so by my calculation they should have known this before they took the money. I've always shopped at Millets for Peter storm but I won't bother again, such a shame.

Good Quality Boots

I recently placed an order with Peter Storm and when it didn’t arrive within the 5 to 7 day delivery slot I was a little concerned. Due to the current circumstances I thought ok delays are possible and I wasn’t desperate for my boots, but maybe an email explaining would have been good. I ended up reading the reviews on here and became extremely worried.

Within a day or two after this I received an email to say my order had been dispatched. I had contacted Customer Support and they responded but I didn’t actually need their assistance as my boots were on their way. My boots were delivered two days later and they were worth waiting for. They are so comfy and look really good, I can’t wait to use them.

I also want to say despite all this and reading the reviews on here I would order from Peter Storm again for the quality products and good prices.

I’m only giving them 1 star because I have to in order to leave a review.

My son has Peter Storm boots and I am really happy with the product so when looking for new boots for myself I decided to go with the same make and ordered directly from Peter Storm website. After a couple of days I happened to read their poor reviews on here so thought I better check with customer services that my order is being processed. Emailed and did receive a reply from Millets (I hadn’t realised they are one in the same) to say there had been an issue at the warehouse but my order was now being processed. Fast forward 10days and I have just received an email cancelling my order.

In 10 days I could have ordered elsewhere and have new boots instead of walking around with one foot wet in my old boots

Wonder just how long I’m going to have to wait now on my refund. Not impressed

Do not use this company

Do not use this company, you will loose your money, order never came, they took my money, you can never get through to customer service, I just wish I have seen all those reviews before. I m looking to report this company as its fraud in my eyes.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Unfortunately I didn’t read the reviews before purchasing, but I wish I did! I ordered a coat which was in stock with delivery between 5-7 days. Never got dispatched so contacted them through website and PayPal multiple times but never got a response. Payment was always just pending in bank and exactly a week after purchase money appeared back into my bank. Appalling customer service, website should be shut down! Will never use them or linked companies millets/ blacks again!

Do not order from Peter storm.

Placed an order last week of January, then decided to read reviews a couple of days later. Oh how I wish I read the reviews first, after reading all the bad reviews I decided to email about my order. Finally received a reply only to be told my order was stuck in the system due to an unknown error. I said I still wanted my items, to then be told they wouldn't be dispatched for a further 2 weeks. Emailed again asking to cancel and get a refund.
Customer service is not the worst but they obviously need to sort out their ordering system, maybe then they might get a good review for once.
Dont order from the Peter storm website unless you want to wait ages for no updates and then be frustrated with how they deal with issues.

Beware very poor service

Placed 3 separate orders with Peter storm. 1st order was received but walking boots cancelled from it. Other 2 orders completely cancelled by Peter storm.
All items were in stock when ordered and checked site again after they cancelled them but were still in stock on their site.
Very poor customer service with no proper explanation just said item's out of stock even when still available on their site?

Cooking up a Storm

Well like the other reviews here I placed an order on their website for a pair of Boots on the 24th Jan they msg me to say that they are now processing the order and four days later emailed to say your order has been cancelled.
So this company can not be trusted, they will sell you something from the website then just cancel it for no reason
There are better companies out there just not this one, their customer service is terrible and that shows by the way they just ignore and do not reply to the reviews left here
SO DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME FIND ANOTHER WEBSITE TO ORDER FROM, AS THIS ONE SHOULD BE AVOIDED

Do not order from this site

Do not order from this site. After numerous phone calls (over 2 hours in total), I’ve finally been issued with a refund. After a number of messages thanking me for my patience and sorry the order is taking longer (never any timeline given when this could be), to not being able to find my order on the system and having to send a few emails with screenshots of the money being taken etc, to then being told my order had been dispatched but dhl not receiving it and then a further phone all to be told that the parcel was lost and they would re issue it. Few days later, another phone call as no email to confirm anything being told they can’t re issue any orders and only offer refunds. 3 weeks of constant phone calls, wasted time and now still no walking boots. Customer service is awful, communication from this company is awful and you go through all of this and end up with no products. Do not waste your time - and for my inconvenience an extra 10% off if I order again, yet I have an email offering 15% anyway because I’ve ordered from them. Shambles!!
