So bad of them for not allowing some others countries apart from their selected companies, very bad service.
Their customer service; their ability to fairly and transparently resolve disputes; and easily accessing money paid on your account are now things of the past! It is a bother to deal with PayPal now.

I am extremely disappointed with PayPal’s service.
I used PayPal for more than two years for legitimate business purposes to operate mrpotenzial.com, and all transactions were handled properly and without any issues. Despite this, my account was suddenly limited and then permanently suspended overnight, without any prior warning.
I received no specific reason or meaningful explanation — only generic template responses stating that the decision is “final and cannot be appealed.” This is unacceptable from a financial service provider that directly impacts businesses.
A professional company should be transparent, communicate fairly, and treat its customers as partners. Instead, PayPal leaves its users in complete uncertainty and can terminate business relationships at any time without justification.
In my opinion, this is extremely unprofessional and unreliable service.
I do not recommend PayPal for business use, as it poses a serious risk to the stability of any company.

PayPal Credit failed to protect me on a £3,150 airline ticket scam.
I am disgusted by the lack of protection from PayPal Credit. I purchased an airline ticket for £3,150 which turned out to be a scam. Despite the ticket being completely invalid, PayPal closed my dispute in favor of the seller simply because a 'digital file' was delivered.
PayPal Credit has refused to perform basic due diligence by cross-checking the ticket validity with the airline. They are protecting a fraudster instead of their customer. I am now forced to pursue a Section 75 legal claim and report them to the Financial Ombudsman. Do not trust PayPal Credit for high-value purchases

Avoid PayPal At All Costs
PayPal has some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.
Completely pointless in this era.
When things go wrong, your bank protects you — PayPal protects the merchant and their commission.
They know when you deserve a refund and still refuse it.
Zero accountability. Zero morals.
I’m done.

PayPal Broke My Business Subscription — Charged the Wrong Card Without Consent
I’m beyond frustrated with PayPal after they mishandled a recurring Fiverr subscription I set up for my business.
On December 1st, I made a purchase on Fiverr and selected “Start a Subscription” at checkout through PayPal. I then provided my business credit card info, which I use exclusively for business expenses. I assumed — reasonably — that the card I used to start the subscription would also be the one billed every 30 days.
Instead, on January 2nd, PayPal charged my default personal card without warning. No notification, no prompt, no consent. I have had issues with paypal charging the wrong payment method in the past — the subscription had already been created during the first checkout, and PayPal completely ignored the card I used to set it up.
When I contacted support, I got the runaround:
• They claimed the first charge was “manual” even though I selected ‘subscription’ during checkout.
• They admitted I never had a proper “billing agreement” tied to that card (even though I set up a subscription and gave them my business card info).
• Their solution? - I wasn't given one, I just kept being thanked for my "understanding", which I have none of left.
This is absolutely a PayPal issue — not Fiverr’s. I’ve now got a business expense sitting on my personal credit card, and it happened 2 days into the new year. This disrupts my accounting and my financial tracking.
What’s worse is this isn’t the first time PayPal has made unauthorized decisions about payment sources. Years ago, they charged an old bank account without permission and caused overdraft fees. When I contacted support the other time,I was told it wouldn’t happen again but they couldn't give me an exact answer why it happened. The rep even made a comment saying "They understand why I am confused", as in that case there was NO REASON why they should have charged that bank account. So after they reassured me this wouldn't happened again, here we are.
If you run a business, be extremely cautious trusting PayPal with recurring billing. Their system is flawed, their documentation is unclear, and their support offers zero accountability.
I’m seriously reconsidering using PayPal for anything business-related moving forward.
PAYPAL'S ADVERTISEMENT SAYS PAYMENT IN…
PAYPAL'S ADVERTISEMENT SAYS PAYMENT IN THREE INSTALLMENTS. THIS IS MISLEADING ADVERTISEMENT BECAUSE THE FIRST INSTALLMENT IS NOTHING MORE THAN AN ADVANCE PAYMENT, THEREFORE THE INSTALLMENTS BECOME TWO INSTALLMENTS. INSTEAD, THREE INSTALLMENTS MEANS THE FIRST INSTALLMENT IS PAID 30 DAYS AFTER RECEIPT OF THE GOODS, THE SECOND INSTALLMENT 60 DAYS AFTER, AND THE THIRD 90 DAYS AFTER. THIS MEANS PAYMENT IN THREE INSTALLMENTS. FOR THIS, THE ANTITRUST AUTHORITY SHOULD INTERVENE AND PENALTY THE COMPANY.
Can No Longer Be Trusted.
After 25 years as a customer, I will be using another platform. These clowns s allowed a scam company to take $12,000 because they mishandled my dispute and closed it instead of escalating it- then decided that instead of fixing that, they would just let the scammers have my money.
PayPal IS A SCAM!!!!
PayPal, a company I have been using for 13 years, has scammed me out of $130. I requested a refund from a scam company - or companies, I should say - SILVER ASK COMPANY LIMITED, Busihap, and 199X Shoes. I bought the shoes - New Balance 993 "Made in USA" size US 11 - from 199X Shoes. They came from NY, but took FOREVER! I get them, they don't fit. Inside length is 10", crushed my feet. I try to contact SILVER ASK COMPANY LIMITED (at a Busihap support email), and they do not respond. I then fight with 199X Shoes, giving them at least a dozen photos of the shoes and the issue. They consistently tell me I got what I paid for, that they would give me a discount on another pair of shoes! After a month of this, I took the fight to PayPal for a refund. Two months later, I am still fighting for that refund. They told me to ship the shoes back to Vietnam (Made in USA shoes?!?), but failed to give me a legitimate address. If I had shipped them back there, it would've cost me $400. Instead, I found the address to 199X Shoes on their website (where I bought the shoes from), which is in Colorado. PayPal has denied my case 6 times in the sellers favor despite dozens of documents and messages proving my case. I call then almost daily to reopen the case and REALLY LOOK AT everything I have submitted. They appease me on the phone, but ultimately deny my case. I have wasted dozens of hours; I'm out the original $130, plus a pair of shoes, and the $24 return shipping. I can't tell you all how angry I am at PayPal, not to mention 199X Shoes, SILVER ASK COMPANY, and Busihap. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!! By the way, if you want to get past their AI phone assistant and actually talk to a real person, keep saying, "live representative, live representative, live representative." Eventually, the AI assistant will give up and connect you with a live representative.
Beware of fraud and dishonesty.
I used PayPal Credit for a year and I'm giving you my honest experience.
This is the worst possible place to open a credit account.
Clear fraud and lies despite the existence of evidence.
Customer support is worse than you can imagine.
I'm not saying this out of hatred or malice, but from personal experience, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who has seen it.
PayPal needs a complete staff overhaul.
Paypal closed my dispute with a seller…
Paypal closed my dispute with a seller without even checking any details further.
Item purchased was not delivered and they simply took the sellers word for it that it was. Company (Printerval) now has horrendous reviews on trustpilot so its easy to see that they are scamming people.
I thought paypal helped protect me as a buyer which is why I used it, it seems since it changed hands it is no longer anywhere near as good as it was. I wont be using again for transactions as either a buyer or seller.
Time to leave PayPal
When I signed up to PayPal many years ago, one of the reasons for creating an account was the added layer of protection I thought I would be getting to protect my hard-earned cash against the increasing world of scammers, con artists, and plain deceptive marketing. Unfortunately, in a recent case, PayPal failed to carry out this simple task, and that left me out of pocket by a significant amount. It would have been better and less stressful if I had simply used my credit card and avoided using PayPal.
To explain, a seller supplied me with an expensive mini vacuum cleaner that arrived in a flimsy envelope and a damaged box. The seller also added extended warranty that I did not ask for and the vacuum cleaner was totally unfit for purpose, with very poor suction that would be an insult if given to a child as a toy. To make matters worse, when I contacted the seller to explain that I wanted a refund and if they could provide the return instructions with a prepaid label, they simply ignored my request and attempted to persuade me to except a discount. Of course, I refused, as this vac was unusable, so any amount of discounting would be pointless. I tried again to explain that I did not want a discount, just a full refund on receipt of the return, but they just proceeded to sent me a reminder that I had to return the vac within 30 days, with NO return instructions.
This was all explained in a filed case to PayPal with a mass of email copies, photos etc. but after all this effort to prove that seller was not legit and had no intention of providing me with the return instructions or a refund, after about 10 days, they sent me an email that simply said, quote:
“We've reviewed the transaction(s) and are refusing your claim(s). This decision was made because if an item is materially similar to the seller's description, we don't consider it to be significantly not as described”.
Note that there was no way I could prove that the vacuum cleaner was useless without attaching a video to the case, but this is not allowed, all I could send was a photo of the damaged box and flimsy envelope it was shipped in. PayPal ignore the latter and gave me only 3 days to respond to their request for more information, which I gave them, but it appears to have been ignored and there is no way to appeal their decision!
I could go on, but based on this VERY bad and stressful experience, I will start the process of winding-down my account with Paypal and just use my credit card. You have made me lose money Paypal, so now you have lost me as a customer, and you will never be recommended by me again in future.
I been with Pay Pal for many years…
I been with Pay Pal for many years Because of their guarantee my money will be refunded from dodge sellers !! Well surprise surprise pay pal (not a Pal) now doesn’t refund your Money when you are have been ripped off ! I have booked a flight with KIWI.COM from Cambodia to Adelaide Australia, 1st leg was Cambodia to Vietnam ( 24h free transfer no visa ) and then transferred to jet star for Sydney and Adelaide ! I arrived at the airport early and Qatar refused me boarding the aircraft ! Bc I was booked on a budget airline ? WTF ? it must be an expensive airline ? Why did Kiwi.com take my money ? They ripped me off ! and committed theft ! Pay Pal refused to refund my money ! why bc they are colluding and don’t care about the costumers that are working with big companies for directing purchasers to PayPal profiteering !
Forget Pay Pal there is NO safety net for customers.
I will cancelled my acc. There is NO reason to use dodgy pay pal ! This company was built on the reputation that you are safe from fraudulent sellers ? NO Happening any more .
Despite giving the seller BeLoveJewel…
Despite giving the seller BeLoveJewel the VALID, CORRECT BARCODE for tracking at least three times between the 30.12.25 and the 7.1.26, the seller misled PayPal by saying the barcode was invalid (it definitely was not!). It was a real, genuine tracking number because I tracked it to China in the first place!
The address given to me to send the faulty item back to China was given to me in CHINESE by the seller, so I had to get this translated into ENGLISH before sending it, which I did on 30.12.25 at 13:25 GMT. I was able to track it to Shanghai, China, when it arrived there on 03.01.26.
Between 03.01.26 and 08.01.26, the seller apparently REFUSED to accept the item: this was clearly a ruse to withhold the refund, which is really underhand. This is unfair as I did EVERYTHING asked of me by the seller by the 3.1.26.
Due to the seller being somewhat underhand, PayPal were told the tracking number was invalid and they could not receive it: this was false because I was able to track it to Shanghai, China, when it was received on 3.1.26. The seller is clearly not wanting to deal with a faulty earring from a pair.
Paypal are not helping much by not giving me the chance to file an appeal. But the item was faulty, it was sent to China as requested, and a valid tracking number was given to the seller. THREE TIMES .
I was able to track the item to China, so why is the seller saying otherwise?
Paypal decided to offer me a goodwill gesture of a £15.00 gift voucher, but that is not the point because PayPal have not investigated this properly. I want my £22.00 refunded.
PayPal just terminated my account with no reason
Paypal just terminated my account. I got an email that says: Based on the information available, there was activity on your account that we cannot process. Specifically, we identified items for sale that appear to infringe on copyright, trademark, or rights of publicity or privacy.
The past 90 days of my transactions were all outbound, meaning I was not selling anything and overall 95% of my transactions are outbound, sO i was not selling anything.
I challenged them to give me proof of my wrondoing but they are just repeating the same thing.
Today they fianlly told me to sod off and they dont want my business without any proper reason, saying:
This decision is not based solely on your recent activities or the payments you’ve sent or received. It reflects an overall assessment of your account. Unfortunately, we recommend that you continue your business and personal transactions outside of PayPal. Thank you for your understanding.
The worst !!!!
The worst !!!!
PayPal’s system is incredibly outdated and stressful to deal with.
A payment initially failed due to a technical issue, but PayPal still completed the transaction on the merchant’s side and then marked my account as having a negative balance. After PayPal successfully re-debited the money from my bank (confirmed by my bank), my PayPal account still shows a negative balance days later.
This lack of synchronization between bank debits and PayPal’s own balance system is unacceptable in 2025. As a user, you are left worrying, receiving automated warning emails, even though you have already paid.
The problem is not the delay itself, but the complete lack of transparency and poor communication. The interface shows contradictory information, and the responsibility is silently pushed onto the user.
PayPal works fine until something goes wrong — then you realize how broken the system really is. I have lost trust in this platform and will avoid using it whenever possible.
PayPal has turned into a scammers
PayPal has turned into a scam, I never recommend using them to transfer money, I had a company account set up and the currency was EUR because the company is from Europe, a transfer of 1550 USD came into the account, they converted it to GBP and they took a commission of 83 EUR, then PayPal only allows transfers in USD despite the fact that the main currency on my account is EUR, I can only transfer this money as USD to my other account which is a multi-currency account, but they automatically convert this currency to EUR because the company is registered in Latvia and there is a EUR zone. What an absurdity. I end up losing a very large amount of money on each conversion. Do not trust these scammers!!!! Also i cannot add and transfer any funds to my Wise account, just for no reason!
User unfriendly
Really user unfriendly, once something goes wrong it’s a nightmare. Given up
Quit
Forgot old account when I call them they said to sign up again that’s sucks no offence
PayPal DO NOT PROTECT THE BUYER! STAY AWAY
I bought good through PayPal from wisebathrooms.co.uk.
Stated to PayPal that I have not received 1/3 of the items and that I wish to return 1 other item as I am well within my right of the 28 days statutory rights. PayPal asked me to put a police report in, reported on fraud action, after i sent them all the evidence of my communication with wisebathrooms.co.uk, within 24hrs they closed the case stating insufficient evidence, which is disgusting as they didnt ask me for any evidence. PayPal are still asking for more evidence, what more can I provide you! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
