You will get randomly charged because you didn't "cancel" your "subscription" on time. It's the scammiest subscription I've seen by far. This website is a SCAM, don't even create an account.

HOW THE SCAM WORKS

When you create a free account, you immediately start getting blurred messages and photos from many girls.
At this moment, to remove the blur, Parship tricks you into paying a ridiculously expensive premium. The moment you pay, all the notifications/texts/photos magically disappear.

After you pay the premium, you'll see that all profiles of girls are indeed FAKE.
It will take you a few days to realise, you've been scammed. By this time, parship has already taken 300 - 400$ from you...
So, now you try to cancel your contract.

CONTRACT CANCELLATION SCAM!

Parship has made Contract cancellation particularly unclear and painful. It is very hard to find information about your contract, cost/validity/cancellation etc.

Eventually after several days/emails/letters/phonecalls, you will initiate the cancellation.
Now Parship will send you another invoice for app. 700$, and threaten you with debt-collections.

What options do you have? Pay it silently, or face the wrath of debt-collectors and end up being in the news headlines..

INVOICING IN WRONG CURRENCY SCAM!

Now that parship knows, they have to cancel your contract (meaning, they can no longer rip you off with future payments), they have one more final trick up their sleeve. They try to intentionally invoice you in a different Currency (which has a higher index). At the time, I received this invoice, instead of ca. 700 CHF, they tried me with 700 €. (which was then equivalent of ca. 800 CHF).

Thankfully my bank was very well aware of this scam, stopped the transaction and saved me this 100$.

But, see the level to which these hamburg based scammers can stoop into..

FAKE REVIEWS, FAKE BLOGS

There are several blogs/reviews of Parship, which rate them highly. Look carefully at the author/content, you will clearly see, they are all fake. Look at who owns the blog / who wrote the review. You have your answer.

I'm really surprised, how in Germany, this kind of false advertising is not considered criminal!! My guess is, most likely the authorities are not aware of this / they have more important things than chasing a dating scammer.
And Parship knows all too well, that an average victim is unlikely to spend more money / time / energy to take them to court, especially after already losing over 1000$.
According to public domain information, Parship makes over 100 Mil. each year from scamming numerous singles.
As a working individual, you hardly have the time/resources to put a fight with them in court. Parship takes advantage of this, and the scam goes on....

Dear readers, If you are reading this, after falling victim to the same scam yourself, I genuinely feel sorry for you. I understand your pain.
If it is any consolation, I encourage you to write a detailed review like mine, in every review portal you can find. It might just save someone someday.

Hey Parship employees, Truly smart, and well done, on ripping me off, and numerous other vulnerable singles. I wonder if you guys are able to sleep well at night.
I sincerely hope, someday the German authorities / media catch up speed, and expose your scam.

I don't expect to get back my 1100$ (approximately). But I still believe, someday you will be eventually caught!
To me, that will be some small consolation for this horrible painful experience..

Either Parship is providing a bad service or I am difficult to match! So when I get to the end of my current subscription I suddenly see new matches.
I now want to cancel, here is the problem, on line does not work, an email gets rejected.
Wish I had never joined in the first place and would advice others to stay away. Not a scam just a money making enterprise

I found the perfect partner after a little more than 1 month. Easy way to connect people even when they are older. Me and my new partner are 60. I can absolutely recommend it.

This website is a scam. They don't let you cancel your account. I feel so violated when I see them take money from my account. What a depressing waste of money.

See response from Parship below. "You didn't jump through our contract-canceling hoops correctly and on time, so we were able to trap you in a contract and can take your money." Is literally a scam. This website sucks and I'm angry.

Good UI and thorough questioning for good matches

Dating should be an enjoyable experience however parship is such a negative lowpoint for me. Very upset to be defrauded by these despicable thieves. If anything, I feel bad for people who need to be employed by an organisation that deceives people like this.

This service is all about catching you and charging a HUGE auto renewal fee. No warning, no reminder, just boom. And their "customer service" is a JOKE.

Avoid AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!

You can't even cancel it like you can cancel every normal other subscription you have. They don't let you cancel it and tell you do sent them a letter per post why you want to cancel and then they will (maybe) let you. This is so weird and feels like a scam to me. Bad. Don't ever subscribe to this. I used the app for 3 days but it's on going since 1 year. I'm paying for a app I don't even have an account for anymore every month like over 40 dollars.

Not so much it is not easy to get a Match who you can be writing or chatting with. Which is really a pity
