Shocking communication and support service
We have been a client of Panthur for over 13 years. When we first joined, they were a great host, but after the company was sold a few years ago, the support became significantly worse. A recent failure in their communication and billing systems led to our domain name not being renewed, and the domain put into recovery mode. This meant all emails, website, etc. went down. There was no record of notices in our email nor in the Panthur dashboard. No invoices were generated in order to be able to renew the domain. As 30 days had passed, the domain entered recovery mode, which required a $220 fee to reactivate our domain.
Though we were not at fault, we paid the fee and asked for the communication issues to be investigated. The communication issues remain - their support team was arrogant and unhelpful. Support tickets remained unresolved. They refused to listen until one team member actually looked into the issue and - shock horror - discovered that we had not, in fact, been sent renewal or support notices all along. We'll be transferring our services away to a more communicative host and registrar.
Do not use Panthur if you need reliable communication and support.
Our domain, email and website are currently offline - 48+ hours and counting because of Panthur’s failure to communicate and act.
I initiated a domain transfer from Squarespace to Panthur on 20 July 2025. On 23 July, I contacted support and was told the process would take 3–5 days. A week later, nothing had changed - our dashboard still showed the transfer as “pending” and no one from Panthur had contacted us to say otherwise.
On 31 July, after chasing again, I was finally told that the transfer had failed because the ABN on file was expired. This was never communicated to us. No email. No alert. No update. As a result our domain is now in serverHold status, expired, and completely offline. Our business email is down. Our website is down. We are actively losing revenue and cannot communicate with clients.
I was told yesterday by their agent Crestin that the issue had been escalated and would be handled by the domains team. Today, I followed up - only to be told NO TICKET WAS EVER CREATED. I had to repeat the entire issue, re-submit the ABN, and again stress the urgency.
The tone of the agents throughout has been robotic and tone-deaf. Repeated “thanks for being on hold” messages, no direct answers, and phrases like “No worries” while our business infrastructure is still inaccessible. No real empathy, no sense of urgency, and no ownership.
This isn’t a minor customer service slip. This is a critical failure caused by Panthur’s internal process gaps and total lack of communication. Their system showed our domain as “pending” when it had in fact failed. Had we not chased this repeatedly, we’d still be left completely in the dark.
We are still offline. We still have no idea when it will be fixed. And no one at Panthur has taken accountability.
If you run a business, look elsewhere. This is not a company you can trust with your domain.

Really REALLY annoying sales
Its a great service however i have to rate it 1 star because as a reseller its annoying they ring up a week before its due to remind you its coming up for payment then they ring on the day as well and its just annoying!! makes me want to move the server. Never late with the payment but they ring up to bug and pester you for it before its due. Makes me annoyed when I get those calls when i have more important things then some company begging for money when they dont need to. it's way too much to be pestered constantly for it when its not even overdue!!! like omg. it's nuts.

Outdated and Insecure
- Web Management Interface us outdated and poorly designed.
- Domain Management processes are slow and stupid. If a domain is transferring away, the owner receives no notification from Panthur to be able to Confirm or Deny the action - it is silently accepted by Panthur (or their wholesaler) and then they sit on their thumbs for 5-7 business days before performing the transfer. If the delay was to allow the owner to dispute the transfer, then it would make sense, but as it stands it does nothing other than delay everything just to delay or punish you?
Avoid these guys. Stick with the big established players like Dreamhost.

I switched my husband's business to Panthur, based on a recommendation from a friend. I wanted to deal with a company that could handle web and email hosting, as well as hosting our domain - a one-stop shop. Panthur's tech support were very helpful with the transfer. I love the Panthur Member's Dashboard and the visiblity of all our services. cPanel is great too, very easy to upload and edit files. I'll be sticking with Panthur!

The website speed is very slow and laggy. I had multiple websites hosted through them but cancelled them all except 1. Now because of slow site speed and very crappy customer service I’m moving to a cheaper and more reliable hosting provider. Since they got sold in the last 2 years everything has gone downhill.
