I'd genuinely give zero stars if I could

I'd genuinely give zero stars if it would let me. A service that has been deteriorating for years finally hit rock bottom after a server "upgrade" took all sites and emails down, and support refused to even acknowledge tickets on the topic, other than a generic "We're working on it" update on their own status page.

I moved my client to another host, and closed the Panthur account. They had no interest that actual businesses, that people rely on to pay bills, had no websites or emails for a week.

Aus webhosts have always been historically bad, yet Panthur somehow manage to be the worst of them.

Appallingly bad as of March 2026. Do not even consider them.

They upgraded some equipment about 2 weeks back, since then my business emails from my domains (for 7 staff) is gone and their support are just not answering phones or online chat.
When they do answer a ticket it's just a generic response which doesn't fix anything.
Considering suing them for loss of trade.

Do not use

No support available. They did update on the servers and broke every dns emails and websites 4 days still dealing with the aftermath of their incompetence.

Panthur have really stuffed customers…

Panthur have really stuffed customers with their maintenance window this week - no emails for 36 hours and none cached. While mail started flowing after 36 hours, what happened to all of my mail that should have been cached for the 36 hours of down time? It's just "missing"???? Not happy, Jan! Been a long term customer but now reviewing my future with Panthur.

Over 15 years with Panthur

Over 15 years with Panthur, they used to be a great company and I stayed with them for good customer service, which is important for server hosts. They have been doing routine server work and I'm now left with no incoming or outgoing e mail for over 24 hours. waited ages for support and then they just say they are working on it, this is not routine, its a total mess up and we were not advised of this kind of disruption, just a few hours overnight. My business has had no e mail for 2 working days now and counting.

I would say Panthur is a truly worthless

I would say Panthur is a truly appalling service but that would mean there was any in the first place. Slow, expensive, the knowledge base is outdated and pointless, the support they offer is almost non existent, honestly if you are looking to host your website, i cannot express strongly enough to go anywhere but Panthur, avoid them at all costs, their latest debacle has convinced the business i work for to pull the plug on two hosting accounts and all domain names, we simply cant afford to stay with such a terrible company anymore, they are literally killing our business

A lot of waiting for tech support

Generally happy with Panthur and have been with them for over 10 years, but the past couple of days have been a frustrating experience. I've spent a significant amount of time waiting for support, and today I wasn't able to connect with anyone at all.

I get that support teams get busy but when you're stuck waiting and ultimately walk away without any help, it leaves you feeling a bit let down.

Hopeless set up, hopeless support staff.

Went to make some changes to my sites and found the software programme on the Cpanel no longer worked! Only way I could do it was to rebuild the site from scratch! Spoke with a 'support' staff who spoke at a hundred mph and whose speech was indecipherable. Put me on hold a few times for some minutes to find out answers to questions he should've been all over. I'm looking for a new webhosting site from now on. Save yourself a heap of frustration and don't use Panthur!!!

Seriously read the reviews and stay away !!

Seriously very hard to trust these reviews if they cannot be checked. Our experience when our site went don is they sell it to a reseller, then they cannot assist you as it lies with the reseller, they didn't even know who the reseller is. Honestly feels like a scam, churn and burn, keen to take your money up front then they can do nothing. Call Centre is in Philippines, girls friendly but read from a company script and can do nothing. Do you research but avoid this business like the plague.

Hosting a small business website

2025 Hosting through this company is not a great experience with website performance being very poor at times due to high shared server overload. Many options through CPanel don't work and it appears that the servers are not monitored for issues and any mantenence being done. There are constant problems with email being blocked by servers worldwide due to the shared server i.p. address range. After a number of complaints over many months they have finally got someone to look at the issues, and it is much better now. What annoys me is poor communication and even after asking for updates on what was done to remedy there are no replies. After researching alternative hosting, I can now see how outdated Panthur hosting is, so I really cannot recommend Australian hosting and are going to move to a US based company.

Shocking communication and support service

We have been a client of Panthur for over 13 years. When we first joined, they were a great host, but after the company was sold a few years ago, the support became significantly worse. A recent failure in their communication and billing systems led to our domain name not being renewed, and the domain put into recovery mode. This meant all emails, website, etc. went down. There was no record of notices in our email nor in the Panthur dashboard. No invoices were generated in order to be able to renew the domain. As 30 days had passed, the domain entered recovery mode, which required a $220 fee to reactivate our domain.

Though we were not at fault, we paid the fee and asked for the communication issues to be investigated. The communication issues remain - their support team was arrogant and unhelpful. Support tickets remained unresolved. They refused to listen until one team member actually looked into the issue and - shock horror - discovered that we had not, in fact, been sent renewal or support notices all along. We'll be transferring our services away to a more communicative host and registrar.

Do not use Panthur if you need reliable communication and support.

Our domain, email and website are currently offline - 48+ hours and counting because of Panthur’s failure to communicate and act.

I initiated a domain transfer from Squarespace to Panthur on 20 July 2025. On 23 July, I contacted support and was told the process would take 3–5 days. A week later, nothing had changed - our dashboard still showed the transfer as “pending” and no one from Panthur had contacted us to say otherwise.

On 31 July, after chasing again, I was finally told that the transfer had failed because the ABN on file was expired. This was never communicated to us. No email. No alert. No update. As a result our domain is now in serverHold status, expired, and completely offline. Our business email is down. Our website is down. We are actively losing revenue and cannot communicate with clients.

I was told yesterday by their agent Crestin that the issue had been escalated and would be handled by the domains team. Today, I followed up - only to be told NO TICKET WAS EVER CREATED. I had to repeat the entire issue, re-submit the ABN, and again stress the urgency.

The tone of the agents throughout has been robotic and tone-deaf. Repeated “thanks for being on hold” messages, no direct answers, and phrases like “No worries” while our business infrastructure is still inaccessible. No real empathy, no sense of urgency, and no ownership.

This isn’t a minor customer service slip. This is a critical failure caused by Panthur’s internal process gaps and total lack of communication. Their system showed our domain as “pending” when it had in fact failed. Had we not chased this repeatedly, we’d still be left completely in the dark.

We are still offline. We still have no idea when it will be fixed. And no one at Panthur has taken accountability.

If you run a business, look elsewhere. This is not a company you can trust with your domain.

Outstanding customer service

Every interaction I have had with the Panthur team over the last five years has been outstanding. Their expertise shines through with how affective and efficient they are at resolving any issue. Highly recommend them.

Really REALLY annoying sales

Its a great service however i have to rate it 1 star because as a reseller its annoying they ring up a week before its due to remind you its coming up for payment then they ring on the day as well and its just annoying!! makes me want to move the server. Never late with the payment but they ring up to bug and pester you for it before its due. Makes me annoyed when I get those calls when i have more important things then some company begging for money when they dont need to. it's way too much to be pestered constantly for it when its not even overdue!!! like omg. it's nuts.
