I live in Blue Island Illinois and Pangea took over as the new owner will say I have a issue with my two Living Room heaters work when they want to work I've put in 7 different work orders and they came out and said and replace the thermostat and said everything's working well about 7 to 10 minutes after they left heater stopped working so I end up having to call the Blue Island inspector I had to call them three different times and the property manager who's Jamel Jamal out however he tells me am I keep turning it off and on until it clicks on well I've done that a couple of times and then finally I just stopped I pay my rent on time I am a tenant who is about business and clearly it shows that Pangea has a bad rep and they are Apartments they have been in and out of court so I tell the property manager well let me get off the phone so I can call Blue Island and he goes to say it doesn't make sense to of them keep calling them it does because when you all aren't fixing you all Blue Island is issuing tickets and eczema tickets end up having to go to court so whoever's looking to move do not move into lumens / Pangea apartment keep searching and keep searching until you're satisfied and comfortable look at the review on Pangea apartment thank

Hi, Kathy. Sorry for the delay in response, as I was speaking with your management and maintenance teams. We were out a few times recently and the temperatures were within range. We will check each of the radiators and replace any that aren't working properly. We will also install a new thermostat to ensure it's reading the correct temperatures. Terrible
When I moved in the water pressure was VERY low for the hot water and my gas was not working I called them the same day I discovered it. They said 1-3 days. They came the 3rd day and the maintenance guy did fix ANYTHING. They said it was high priority. It has been almost an entire 7 days that I have not took a shower or bath neither have I been able to cook anything.

Pangea -Washington Park
The apartment is somewhat nicely remodeled. I’ve had to put in a dozen of request to fix things after I moved in. Maintence came out in a timely matter. I’m highly upset about parking. From Dec - Apr I cannot park near my apartment because there’s a tow zone even if there’s no snow on the ground. If I have anything heavy I’d have to make double trips and park half a block away from my apartment. It’s an inconvenience especially when you have a toddler and it’s cold outside. I wish someone would have told me what an inconvenience it is parking Wise for 4 months.
The things I do like is the apartment building is peaceful, the walls are thin but I rarely hear anything disturbing.

It sounds like the repairs and other requests were taken care of, but please let us know if there's anything else we can help you with. As far as the parking, I would recommend talking to your Property Manager or possibly your neighbors to see if there's any way around it or if they've found anything else to be helpful.
Absolutely Love It
I never had my own apartment before so house looking was new for me .with Pangea it was the good choice because they had apartments in the area I was looking for a good reasonable price ,and also the place was beautiful didn’t see any flaws in it just loved it loved it ! They gave me a chance to get somewhere nice without the extra hassle so I would recommend Pangea to anybody who new or just need an second chance !

They take people money they show you and 4 other people the apt. at the same time just unprofessional send you emails until you pay the application fee and then say you are declined. They are bad business for renting.

The FCRA mandates that you submit your request in writing within 60 days of receiving your notice. Love the apartment... but
I love the leasing agents that have helped me when viewing apartments. I like my apartment, but it seems as if I moved in with roaches! From the first day of my move I noticed one, then once I was done with my move more started to show. I am noticing them in the kitchen, bathroom and livingroom. Other than that I have a nice apartment.

I feel like the process is a little…
I feel like the process is a little unorganized, I was not contacted once I was approved I was just charged. I had not had chance to view the actual property until I was already charged. When I brought this to a reps attention she basically told me it was my fault for applying for a place with out viewing it. I advised her no one wants to look at a place like it and then get denied. Once in the staff in the office is very friendly and quick to help, wish getting them on the phone was a little bit easier. I am nervous as the property looks better on pictures then it does in real life but I'm in the lease now so what can I do. I appreciate all the girls in the front office they helped make the process a little less painful.
