I had a terrible experience with NPS Law when I remortgaged earlier this year. I have instructed them with more than 3 months before my old mortgage deal was expiring, but they have managed to drag the process for 4 months and half, which resulted me in losing more than £700 as I have been forced to on the SVR with my old mortgage provider. The communication was very poor and they were very unaware of the processes (especially the Help to Buy work-stream) and I had to personally call HTB and the new mortgage provider to push things along.

My experience with NPS Law, particularly in dealing with Hamza Ahmad and Sofia Ahmad, has been extremely disappointing.

The biggest issue throughout the transaction has been communication. Trying to speak to the person actually handling the matter has been unnecessarily difficult. Almost every time I have called, I have been unable to get through to Hamza or Sofia directly. Messages are left, calls are chased, and far too often I have found myself having to repeatedly follow up simply to understand what is happening with my own transaction.

There has also been a frustrating amount of back-and-forth, unclear updates and a lack of proactive case management. At various stages I have had to specifically ask what remains outstanding, who is responsible for it, whether the other solicitors have been chased, and what is actually preventing matters from progressing.

I fully appreciate that conveyancing can involve third parties and that not every delay is within a solicitor's control. However, what is within their control is communication, escalation, proactive chasing and keeping their client properly informed. Unfortunately, this is where my experience with NPS Law has fallen well below the standard I would reasonably expect from a professional conveyancing firm.

When a client is involved in a significant property transaction, they should not have to continually call, email and chase their own solicitor for basic updates or repeatedly request that outstanding matters are escalated.

Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend NPS Law to anyone for conveyancing purposes. The whole process has caused unnecessary frustration and has been made considerably more stressful by the lack of accessible and proactive communication.

Was dealing with hamza nazra and junaid for my conveyancing for my first property very helpful throughout the process and very quick to respond when needing help all around very good service

Kimberley managed the sale of my property. I was provided with regular updates and first class advice on difficult leasehold issues. I will be using this firm for my future property transactions.

I have bought and sold properties in the past and it has been so frustrating. A lack of transparency in the process and a feeling of helplessness that nobody answers the phone or emails. This is not how NPS work. They are very clear where things are. They answer calls and emails and if they are busy they even rang me back!! This has never happened before.

I can’t praise them enough. Many Law firms just pass your file about so a new person picking your case up as no idea of where it’s at. Again, NPS gave a different and refreshing way of working. One person handles everything and in my case Fatima was so professional despite my frustration with the buyers solicitors. She was so committed and I am sure under the guidance of Zara will go very far. Zara stepped in when necessary and was very transparent in calling me to tell she had held things up to ensure that something was changed in the legal documents at the 11th hour to my favour in the case that my buyer defaulted. This was following an email with my fears and despite pressure to exchange she stuck to her guns.
