Cost was much better than airalo (used last year in France - I didn't need unlimited GB). Mostly 4g (don't know if I ever got 5g service), but was in the mountains mostly. Sometimes service was slow... See more

Wi-Fi signal extremely wea and impossible to use.
Wi-Fi signal extremely weak most of the time. Only time the signal was any decent was between 3.00am and 6.00am. This was the only time it was possible to download anything. Most of the time i could not open any normal websites as they timed out trying to open. Extremely unsatisfactory and on numerous occasions I had to go to a restaurants in the nearby town to access their Wi-Fi to download or open any work files during the day.

I don't speak a word of Japanese
I don't speak a word of Japanese, so being able to manage everything in English through the app was a huge relief. I thought it wasn't possible to transfer the esim to a new phone but thought I'd ask anyway.
Name of SIM shows up as NOMAD 5
Name of SIM shows up as NOMAD 5, how the heck should I know what that is. Is that the one I should enable. No way to know how many days or budget I have left on the SIM, app is useless there.
I don't want 7 days or 30 days, I want 10 days or 23 days, or 29 days. The time limits are big giant f-off yours.
So much more expensive then buying the sims from the airport at landing, why use this at all. Literally a 500% increase over the cheap local sims.
