I bought a Nikon Coolpix P950 in…

I bought a Nikon Coolpix P950 in December for a safari vacation in February. The camera seemed to work fine when I first bought it (albeit, limited use). When I got to S. Africa the camera wouldn't charge. I had multiple batteries, so that wasn't the issue.

My dream vacation and oppty to take pics of a lifetime was ruined. Nikon customer service was useless. I had to resort taking pics with my I-phone.

When I got back to the US I wanted a new camera (it was essentially brand new). The camera shop put it on Nikon and Nikon only would repair it. The WORST customer experience.

I've been loyal to Nikon for year. Never again!!!!

Never Nikon!It broke down within 14 days, I took it back for a refund, but the service center in Turkey won't accept the return and is even demanding that I pay for the repair.

I bought a Nikon ZFC camera (product code is VOA090K003), invoice number is TOP2025000074201 from Vatan Computer in Istanbul, Turkey on December 7, 2025, to take photos during my trip to Africa. When I went to Africa and tried to take pictures, only a black screen appeared. I couldn't take any photos. After returning to Turkey 14 days later, I took the camera back to Vatan Computer on December 21, 2025, and requested a refund. The camera was sent to the Nikon service center. Now, the Nikon service center in Turkey which name is Karfo Karacasulu , instead of accepting a refund for a broken camera that was returned within 14 days of purchase, is demanding that I pay for the repair costs. I considered Nikon one of the best camera brands. How can they refuse a refund for a camera that broke down within just 14 days of purchase, and then demand that I pay for the repair costs? Absolutely do not buy Nikon, especially if you live in Turkey.Moreover, I paid a high price for a tour to Africa and didn't get to take a single photo. Nikon owes me an African vacation.

i purchased a NIKON Sportstar EX 10x25…

i purchased a NIKON Sportstar EX 10x25 binocular with the idea to have a long lasting quality device in my hands.
just one year and a few days after purchase i noticed the casing getting sticky and beginning to disintegrate.
upon request for refund or replacement i was told that the one-year warranty has expired.

optics and casing are worse than for a binocular i purchased years ago for 10% of the price.
very disappointing.

Better than I expected!

I read the policy on repair or replace and it said I had to have receipts etc.
I ignored that and filled out a repair request for my monarch binoculars. The same binoculars that nikon had replaced for me for free 14 years ago when I ran them over with my truck and squished them.
So this time the eyepieces were scratched from my cleaning them improperly over time I assume.
After about 7 days I received an email from the service team that to repair them would be more costly than Replacement.
In that same email they provided a voucher code for $564.00 to use to purchase any item from their site. I need only pay shipping.
I found a nice pair of binocs for around $460.00 which they gave me for free.
Out of pocket was my cost to ship to them,$16.00
My cost to ship from them to me the new ones $11.00
I don't know how I could have been treated any better.

Was trying to order a camera and lens

Was trying to order a camera and lens. I live in a rural area. I have no issues getting packages from any place I order. Nikon says that they cannot verify my address, and to call USPS. Verified through USPS. Called Nikon again and they told me there was nothing that they could do on their end. Really like my older Nikon but the lack of customer service I’m likely to go back to a cannon.

NO REMEDY SUPPORT

Clearly & honestly speaking, no "nikon" support existing beyond the guarantee period!
Month ago a problem came up with my "action 10*50" binoculars (most probably it needs some re-adjustment to interior system), approx. TEN YEARS OLD ONLY, and when I visited the local dealer in Athens I received the following unacceptable statement:
- NO MORE SPARES are provided from "NIKON" for this model!
More, I have addressed my case in past two weeks by two emails sent to the European head support, which cases confirmed by auto-reply, Ids: #06332136 & #06334116, BUT, to my full disappointment, NO ANY RESPONSE has been received so far!
So, I resume "NIKON's" position/policy if something malfunctioned, as foll:
- Products aged 10 years (maybe less) should be considered unrepairable and must be thrown away in a trash bin!!!

Horrendous customer service

Horrendous customer service.
I ordered a new camera and lens which I was very excited about. Both products were on back order so I had no idea when they would be available. Of course, they ship the day before I leave on vacation. I tried to change the delivery date on the UPS side but they said Nikon would not allow it. So I called Nikon and they basically told me too bad — said ups would try to deliver 3 times (all while I’m gone) and then the product would be delivered back to Nikon and I would have to reorder. I got a sale price on these items so I asked if they would still give me that price since this is NOT my fault and they said they couldn’t guarantee anything. And as if that wasn’t enough, I asked if I reordered, how can I make sure the product is delivered when I can be home (I work in healthcare…can’t be home often) and, again, they were useless and said there was nothing they could do. Crazy customer service for a company selling expensive merchandise

Some of the worst customer service I've experienced. They could not care less. Even if you spend tens of thousands of dollars...

They just don't value loyalty. Am switching manufacturers because this company is garbage along with their products.

swiss repair center

My z7 and 24-70mm 2.8 falled in november 2024. I asked the swiss repair center for repair. I didn't get news and did not found a contact e-mail adress. After one month, I found a contact email(Nikon, please improve the repair process by giving a direct url to the repair page on the repair confirmation page, or require to create an account, so that we can easily follow the repair). I could then send my camera in january. Problem was that I entered a wrong e-mail. I thought they modified it. After 3 weeks without news, I finally found that their is a repair page to follow the repair. So nikon did not change the e-mail. So I accepted the estimation. They did not have the necessary spare parts. I finally got my camera back in february. I then noticed some other problem. Among other, the aperture sub-command dial did not work at all. Ok, it was maybe overseen during their check-up after repair.
I sent it back and clearly said it was not working. Again, they did not have the necessary spare parts. I got back the camera one month later and the aperture dial is still not working. It's a pity that the camera is not functional since Nikon made a grate job for the other repairs.
So after more than 4 month, the camera is still not repaired. After 800 CHF repairs, I'm not sure if my insurance will pay another repair.

Nikon allowed fraud on my credit card

Nikon allowed fraud on my credit card, then told me the fraudulent order was cancelled, when it was not. They shipped the camera to the thief after telling me the ordered was cancelled. They charged my card after telling me the fraudulent order was cancelled. Garbage company filled with garbage people.

They just abandoned all their rifle…

They just abandoned all their rifle scope customers. They wont even help you with alternative replacement parts. Any company the ditches rifle part sales to appease euro countries is spineless. I will never buy a Nikon product again.

NikonUSA - Worst customer service anywhere! Can't answer questions, can't help with orders, can't escalate the call to manager, send emails that don't address the issue, customer service agents (George S and Leah) were worthless and not helpful at all. Guess I'll have to go Canon after all

Will never use this company again

Will never use this company again. The delivery was never completed and they kept my money for a month before being refunded. They offered a pitiful discount off my next order. They just don't care about the damage they have done to my business.

Great compact binoculars with zoom.

Just received my Nikon Sportstar Zoom binoculars, they are everything I wanted. Very compact, 8-24X25, the zoom works wonderfully for our needs here on the Aegean coast of Turkey. Read the reviews online first, and just as advertised, perfect.

Selling Items Not Even Remotely in Stock…

Nikon takes orders for products they do not have even remotely available. They call items pre-orders but dont have any idea when the product will actually be available. Ordered lens 6/21, shipping started late on 8/31. Still waiting 9/13 for the product to even be available.

First Nikon purchase to disappointment!!

Bought a Nikon 1 J1 with the kit lens 10-30.
After a while the lens went dark and the aperture didn't open. Since They know about the issue, they had a campaign untill 2021 to repair the lens. I sent it in and received it working again. After about 13 months when I turned it on to use it , the same issue was back. Talk about using cheap components to make and repair ! Very disappointed in deed!

I lost my camera on a cruise last year…

I lost my camera on a cruise last year and bought a Nikon Coolpix A900. I was extremely pleased with it but managed to drop it on my next trip. Getting careless in my old age! I contacted Nikon re repair. I could not believe the brilliant service. they collected it, quoted for repair, repaired it and returned it. I also had advice from one of their representatives. The camera is wonderful and I am totally sold on Nikon.
