I had to go to the AVIS counter to rent the car. Even though I had a reservation, I was told to wait 20 minutes because they were busy and didn't have a child seat available. When I went to return the car, I wanted to get to the airport quickly, but a tattooed female employee was hugging a man right in front of customers and didn't attend to me immediately. I’m not sure which company was actually at fault, but it was an unpleasant experience.

Straightforward and easy
All inclusive and able to use debit card
We had our car within a few minutes from arriving at Dublin airport and then checking back in was super quick and straight on the shuttle bus
Great service
Will use them again :)
The car wasn’t available for collection at the airport as expected. When I arrived at the offsite pick up point I then had to wait for 15 minutes for it to be prepared. The car is 4 years old, is dented, all the wheels are scuffed and there is 162,000 Km on the clock! Time it was put out of its misery!
Thank you for your reply. I have another car booked for 27th August and hope for a much better experience.

A neway of renting. 2 weeks with the family could be stressful regarding car rental: will it be the car size booked? Will it has all the insurance covered? Neway provided it so smoothly from the start. Right away the peace of mind necessary to get you on the vacation spirit. Thank you!
The one thing that has always annoyed me about renting a car is the insurance scams that most rental companies apply at the desk. However Newway eliminates all that by having one price for everything so no loading £1500-2000 onto your credit card. I’ve used them twice now once in Dublin and once in Cork and both times it’s been a breeze.

My go to car hire whenever I visit Ireland. Great customer service and no hidden fees whatsoever . You pay when booking and that’s it no bs at airport.

I have never experienced customer service this poor from a car rental company.
From the moment we picked up the car, it was virtually impossible to get in contact with NewWay. We called every phone number we could find, tried multiple extensions, emailed, and submitted support requests. Every email generated an automatic response saying a ticket had been created, but no one ever followed up.
The most concerning part was that the vehicle began experiencing engine problems during our trip. We attempted to contact NewWay immediately, as well as their “24/7” roadside assistance company we were instructed to use, but we could not reach anyone who could actually help us. Being stranded with a potentially unsafe vehicle and no support from the rental company was incredibly stressful.
Because we were genuinely concerned the car would break down, we ended up exchanging it at a different airport ourselves. Even returning the vehicle became unnecessarily difficult because we couldn’t get anyone to tell us where the correct drop-off location was.
We have rented cars all over the world and have never experienced anything like this. When you’re renting a vehicle, you’re trusting that the company will be there if something goes wrong. NewWay completely failed in that responsibility. A car rental company that cannot be reached when customers are experiencing mechanical issues is unacceptable.
Based on our experience, the company felt completely illegitimate. It honestly left us wondering if we had booked with a scam because there was simply no way to reach a real person despite repeated calls, emails, and support requests. I genuinely do not understand how this company has so many positive reviews, because our experience was the complete opposite.
We are extremely disappointed and feel we did not receive the service we paid for. We will be pursuing a full refund and, if necessary, disputing the charge with our credit card company. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend NewWay to anyone.

NewWay Car Hire Dublin Airport - never let us down - great price for an all in deal with no hidden extras for those who want to be secure in the knowledge that they are completely covered insurance wise. A great addition to the service is that they will make sure the M50 toll is paid for you whenever you use this motorway. Being able to pick up across from the terminal building is a major plus as you don't have to wait for a shuttle bus. Cars are always in good condition . The staff are always helpful and friendly. The only small issue is the NewWay Desk isn't always manned so you have to go to another desk like AVIS which can have long queues. Other than that will continue to use NewWay whenever we visit Ireland :)

We had to wait two hours at Dublin Airport for a reserved car. Then we were given the wrong car and had to wait again. The car we finally drove in had 180,000 km on the odometer, the steering wheel constantly pulled to the left, and the windshield wipers were completely broken (luckily it rarely rains in Ireland ;-)). The car could only be locked and unlocked with the emergency key. We opened the tickets six times while on the road and complained, but only received a response once, saying they assumed everything was fine. We couldn't help but laugh. What terrible service!

Had to cancel our booking with this company, and received communication assuring us that we would receive our refund (€1500) minus a small cancellation fee (€60) withing 7-10 business days. It's now been over a month, no refund and no response to any attempt to reach out. Other services we used were far more trustworthy, accommodating and prompt with their communication.

Two major problems:
1) the contact phone number for Dublin Airport 00353 1 605 7588 - the number you will need to call if you have a breakdown [UPDATE: NOT CORRECT - see reply from NewWay below] - has never worked during the time we dealt with the company. If we'd tried this number before we hired, we would not have gone ahead.
2) This company owes us € 374 and shows no sign of paying [UPDATE: now received - see comment at end]. We had to change the vehicle from an estate car to a smaller one on 1 July and the confirmation email said: "Refund Due at Pickup € 374.00". Except when we asked for this at pickup, we were told it would be "automatically dealt with by head office". It is now 28 July and no sign of a refund.
Update 1 August: when we got tired of waiting for the refund and submitted a complaint we received prompt, courteous and helpful replies by email, and the refund did finally appear on our card on 31 July. However this was 16 working days after we returned the car and 20 working days after the date the refund was promised (pickup on 4 July).
We tried to use the phone number I quoted several times (during the day) to ask about our refund, but it always cut off immediately.

Really easy to book. Swift pick up and drop off process. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Great to not have to deal with the usual ‘up selling’
Car had a lot of minor scrapes and dings when we collected it, which made us a little anxious about how they would know we hadn’t added to it on return. We took about 30 photos, but wasn’t necessary, as no problem when dropping it off.
It had been washed and hoovered out before we picked it up, but not valeted, so we were a bit disappointed that it wasn’t as clean inside as we’d expected.
Integrated sat nav system (at no extra cost) was a welcome extra.

I have never understood why it takes so long to process a car hire when you have already given the company your details but from the time I arrived at the Neway desk to leaving with my documents it was no more than two minutes - perfect!

At the pick up area at Dublin airport after waiting 15-20 min for our car we were told the car was ready but the navigation was locked. They gave us a Garman to use as a backup.
During the next two weeks the battery died 3 times. We had to have AA out to restart battery. This affected our plans and we had to worry every time we were hot whether the would start or not.
This is not acceptable service.
The response to my calls for help were timely with no pushback.
I am a repeat customer and am disappointed with this experience.

I had the car booked for 10am. My flight was delayed and I didn’t get to the desk until 1pm. First they couldn’t find my booking then told me that my car was given away. I had prepaid!! Does it matter if I’m in the car or not. I’d payed for it and they operate in an airport,,, they must be aware of flight delays!! I then had to go to another location as they didn’t have a car where it should have been, in the airport! I’ve used this company a lot and normally everything is fine but I got a smaller car than booked and had to get a bus to another location to collect the car and do the same in reverse when I had to drop it back!

Easy to take or leave the car in Dublin. We had an issue with a light saying oil service in the car and they answered quickly and were helpfull. Expensive when you take all inclusive but there are no more worries
