Waiting for our costs to be reimbursed!

Following on from our previous review after a puncture repair lead to them damaging our tyre pressure sensor.
Agreed by head office we took it to another garage for a diagnostics and they told us they would cover the cost. The garage has done fault finding and have now replaced the sensor national tyres fitted with a genuine ford one. This is what was broken by them originally. We asked after the second visit if genuine parts were used and we were told no and that it wouldn’t be an issue. Today it has been replaced by a genuine ford one and the issue is fixed.
We have had to pay another £200 bill, took all the evidence back to the garage and now have to wait for it to be agreed and paid back. Don’t hold much hope of this happening! And if it doesn’t happen we will be taking it further. Do not use this company. Would never ever use these cowboys again. Such an awful company

Do not use!

I will not be taking my car to national tyres again. The prices of their products are disgustingly high. I know they are a national company but you would think if they do so well they could get the prices down. I took my car to a local garage in the end and spend more than half the price of national.
Support local instead of national businesses!!

Poor service and questioning their competency

Had a mot done here and was shocked by the amount of advisories they had marked down as less than a year ago there was no issues whatsoever when I took my car to my usual garage. I always keep on top of repairs and look after my cars. When I tried to address this with the young kid who gave me my paperwork he just walked off away from the desk and ignored my questions as he showed no interest in my concern. I am taking my car for another mot for a second opinion as I don’t believe that the issues they have flagged up are genuine and more of a ploy to get repeated custom to carry out the necessary work.

Appalling aggressive behaviour.…

I needed 4 new tyres and having dealt with National Tyres for a number of years I went on to their website entered my registration number and a range of option tyres came up, I made my selection paid the invoice and was given an appointment time at Warminster. When I arrived I was early but it was very quiet and the receptionist said there was no problem going ahead with the job. I took a seat in the reception area and after about 30 minutes I was informed that the tyres would not be able to be fitted as I had ordered the wrong tyres and that they were a different size. When I explained that I had entered my registration number into their system and they had given me the option I decided on. I also asked him why he had taken 30 minutes to tell me this information. The receptionist became quite defensive saying it was my problem and I should have checked, I stated that there was little point in having an online system if it did not work. I was then told to get out in a very abusive way, I noticed the mechanics sitting in the back office all started to laugh at this outburst from the receptionist .Being a pensioner and 70 years old I was shocked and stunned by this outburst, the receptionist further stated that he had refunded my money and again told me to get out, he came round from the back of the reception desk, opened the door and told me to get out again. At no time was I apologised to for the inconvenience or offered an alternative solution. This mans behaviour was both frightening and completely out of place for someone in a customer facing role, he should not be treating customers like this. I immediately telephoned customer services and requested a refund and some sort of explanation as to why a major national company would treat its customers in such an appalling way. I was assured I would receive an immediate refund and someone would be in touch later in the day to speak to me. Surprise, surprise, I have not received a refund, or a call from anyone, in fact Halfords have not even acknowledged my contact. Avoid this company like the plague, they are not interested in customer service.

Tyre pressure check ...

I have had tyres replaced here previously, and also call in from time to time to get tyre pressures checked. I have always found them to be very willing to do these checks for me. Today was no exception; the young man who did the checks was extremely pleasant, chatty and helpful.

Buyer beware

Buyer beware! Probably the worst in-branch customer service I have received from a tyre fitting company. Briefly, in mid-December, I had two Avons fitted, unfortunately, these were faulty and 24 hours later had to be had to replaced with cheaper Sailuns. I had paid via their Payment Assist plan, which meant the 5 remaining amounts should have been automatically adjusted to reflect the lower overall cost. This didn't happen and for over 4 weeks, the branch did nothing and even though they said they would make the amendment, they didn't...using a different excuse every time I went in to speak to them. After many long phone calls with Halfords Customer Service, this simple issue was finally resolved. I will commend the last person I spoke to at the Customer Service Dept, who, after making two phone calls to the branch and demanding they respond accordingly, resolved the issue within 15 mins. I will never use this company again!

Poor Customer Service

Previously no issues with the company but took my car on for its booked appt this morning due to tyre warning light coming on repeatedly. I told them which tyre I *thought* it may be to try to help. I turned out to be incorrect( not surprising as Im an amateur!) and was greeted by sulky behaviour when asked what I wanted them to do and replied politely that I'd like them to find the offending tyre. The man I dealt with seemed begrudging of this request and, in my opinion, gave v.poor customer service. There was a nice chap that previously worked there and I shant be returning unless he returns.
Post script. Have taken my car elsewhere as the new tyre they flogged me didnt do the trick ( the light came back on before 5 miles).

Rip off company

Rip off company. Avoid at all costs. Charge £249 for a tire that they sell online for £111!!

Use anyone else other than these crooks!

In the old days

In the old days. Pick up phone to local Nat tyres, book, done. Now goes through to new phone system, waited no reply from booking centre, gave up and phone another company. Very hard for old age pensioners.

I found the tyres I wanted

I found the tyres I wanted. Was able to spread the cost over a few months and book a time to fit them that suited me. All easy to do. I have used the tyre fitters before with no problems so expect all to go smoothly now.
