All staff at the Perth branch very professional and really wanted to prove there expertise. Work carried out quickly and utmost care was taken to ensure no damage and my experience was above my expectations. James the branch manager was very open to any issues i may have after inspection. None to report. Well done to all National Tyres Perth staff.

My wife visited National tyres Perth this morning to have a couple of tyres fitted to my car.
She drove the car into the empty bay which had no signage to tell her not to enter and was greeted by Billy Bigs Baws the manager who shouted at her in a very aggressive manner.
On returning to collect the car she informed him that she was going to report him to senior management and yet again the aggressive behaviour returned!
Will never use National tyres or any affiliated company again.

Booked online to get replacement tyres and immediately started getting spam emails by the dozen which hadn’t been a problem before signing up to National Tyres. On fitting day, arrived early for my appointment and was met by the grumpiest and rudest individual ever who left me angry and wishing I hadn’t paid already as I was ready to leave. The two other staff members I dealt with at collection time were polite and friendly but sadly the first guy has convinced me never to give them my business again.

I wanted to replace all the tyres on my fairly recently purchased Fiesta and the TPMS sensors seemed to need replacing as well. Previously, at an independent garage, if I provided my own TPMS sensors they had been replaced for £15 per tyre or without charge if a tyre was being fitted.
I could only get the tyres I wanted through National, however, it was impossible to book my car in at my local National branch on their website (for which there was a 15% online discount for buying four tyres) even though the ones I wanted were in stock but the same problem occurred with any type so I had to phone their helpline to book.
When I arrived, I asked about having the TPMS sensors fitted but even though valve replacement is normally included in the cost of tyre fitting and TPMS sensors are no more difficult to fit than a valve (I can activate and pair them myself) - probably a two minute maximum part of the procedure - I was told that they could not fit the TPMS sensors that I had already bought. I asked how I should go about having them fitted and I was told that they would only fit their sensors for... wait for it... £100 PER TYRE! Five times the price of a genuine Ford sensor (I actually got mine cheaper) and with the discount for buying four tyres £25 more each than the tyres I was buying.
The only redeeming part of this wasted journey (30 mile round trip) was that having booked on the phone, I hadn't yet paid so I bade them farewell.
Rest assured, I will not be using National (or their new parent Halfords - for additional reasons) again. I just pity the unsuspecting customers who pay ridiculous charges and overinflated (no pun intended) markups. When I was in business, an acceptable handling markup was 10%.

[update] National (or their social media bot) replied asking for my order number even though I had submitted it with my review but having edited my review to include the order number as requested in the reply, I heard nothing from them.
However, I would like to add that I bought a set of higher specified tyres for the same price from my local Target Tyres and they fitted my TPMS sensors without charge thus saving me* £400 on what National were going to charge me.
Anyway, it was worth it to find out that National, and by dint, Halfords, should be avoided; not just for their lousy branch customer service but also their phoney review responses!
*It didn't really save me £400 because there is no way on Earth that I would have paid a 'saw me coming' price like that! Unfortunately, some people will pay not knowing any better and National will take advantage of them.

Halfords (who now own this brand) make it so so difficult to complain. Their helplines are inadequately manned, their "speak to an expert" is a useless chatbot rather than a person and there is no email address for customer issues/complaints shown anywhere on the website. Even when they have all the details about a complaint they still ask for more information.
This further complaint is in response to my previous complaint at the Perth depot of National Tyres. Halfords have asked for the original Booking Reference, as if they couldn't identify the case from the other details I'd given. Anyhow, it is now added to this complaint.
