I am going through the same problem as many of you have been going through. I ordered a nightlight in February of 2018, Month after month I would check on this having not received my order. Then they offered the free ring for being patient for waiting and I thought to myself how nice of them, but I have still not received anything and every time I contact them they say the same thing that they are sending the item out in the order they were received. My goodness does it takes months to do this? How slow can you get. I just e-mailed them again and hopefully I can receive a different answer, if not I will report them to the authorities in Canada. I do know some people who can possibly get to the bottom of this. I had ordered in the past a couple of necklaces and they were beautiful so I really hate to cancel my order but if they run out of money we may never get a dime. I would not recommend this product to anyone. If you order be prepared to wait a very long time or like me and many others never receive what you ordered.

Early Last September I ordered an aurora borealis la palette necklace for myself. A month or so in I chased my order and got a stock response saying there was a delay. I heard nothing more so FOUR months later (!) I emailed asking for my money back. They did refund very quickly but am SO disappointed they didn’t even offer an explanation as to why I never got what I ordered.

Like a previous poster I would happily give 0 stars if I could. As a gift to celebrate our baby my partner gave me the money to order a limited edition Mt. Fuji ring, which I excitedly ordered to make sure that I managed to get one of the limited pieces.

This had an estimated date, which they missed by several weeks, with no mention as to why the creation of the ring wasn't progressing, which was disappointing, but I pushed past it.

Now, their website states "If your ring doesn't fit, we will resize it for free - no hassle for you", which gave me some reassurance in case my fingers were swollen from pregnancy. I've never owned a ring before, so although I didn't think they were swollen I couldn't be sure as I had no idea what my ring size was. Secret Wood offer free resizing though, brilliant, I can get a ring I love and have reassurance that it will be resized.

Wrong. Apparently this offer only stands for 30 days, which is not specified on their website. So now I have a useless piece of wood and resin to look nice on a table or something.

The first thing my husband ordered from them came before we had expected. This was December of 2016 or so. Great experience.

However,

He ordered me the Aurora Borealis necklace in August 2018 for our anniversary. As of today, we still have not recieved it. No updates and the only replies we get from emails that are sent say there is a delay. I am telling him to ask for a refund/request a chargeback. This is ludicrous.

I’d give ZERO stars if that was an option.

Like others here, I purchased an item that never got delivered when promised. Unlike most others, I’m going on almost 1 YEAR NOW STILL NO ITEM.

In Feb of 2018, I purchased an Azure Falls nightlight. They were doing funding for the item at the time of purchase. The item was supposed to go into production a couple months later.. I understood the reason for the delay. Those deadlines pass and still nothing, I begin reaching out late spring, early last summer. I’m told they will begin mailing them out, there’s been an issue with the contact pins.. they wanted it to be perfect. Ok... great... I get that. Why the long delay letting us all know? I follow up after their next deadline passes, they apologize, more excuses.. new deadlines... still miss them! They offer to send me a free ring for all the troubles. That buys them some time for me. I’m frustrated, but at least feel like they’re working on it and that they’ve thrown in an extra, for my troubles. Only neither item ever comes... I begin to lose my patience. Every time I reach out I get blown off for a week or more. When they finally respond it’s always some short response promising a new date, that date always passes, no items are ever delivered.

These guys are an obvious scam as can be seen by multiple reviews. They take your cash, miss production dates and don’t send items for months or in some cases like mine and the other poster below A YEAR! In what world does this thing you’re supposedly working on take a year to produce?!? Cars, homes, entire buildings and neighborhoods are built in less time than a damn nightlight or a ring!

These guys, this business, their product (or lack thereof) are a total sham!! Their customer service is the biggest joke I’ve ever had the displeasure of witnessing!

Absolutely DO NOT purchase a thing from these guys! Take your business elsewhere! Support small business that deserve your hard earned dollar. These guys don’t give a crap about their costumers, their brand, their business. The only thing they care about is purposefully misleading people and taking cash for goods they don’t intend on delivering.

My last email to them asking when I could expect my item and finally be done with this whole debacle was responded to with this: “You can request a refund at any time”. Really?!? That’s your solution to a years wait? No, I won’t be requesting a refund... at this point it’s the principal for me. I want the items I purchased and the “We’re Sorry” items I was promised and I won’t be going away, or quieted until I receive them!

Got Azure Falls for my wife. She really was happy with the ring. The surprise was amazing. Haven't seen something this cool in a long time. Better than I expected.

Probably going to get the necklace for her birthday!

FINAL UPDATE: So finally got my package today 1/11/19. Feel like it took too long to be made/ship but wife was very please with the finished product as was I. All three of the glass pieces look great. I wish they would work on their customer service to be more transparent with people about what is going on with their orders.
UPDATE: Got an email back saying that they are experiencing a “crafting delay” and my products are not yet ready but will be as soon as possible. I’d like to know how, (1) a month in they registered my stuff as being 92% complete and now 2 months later absolutely no progress was made and (2) why on earth would they say on the 21st of December thatI’d have my stuff before the new year when they’d obviously know it’s not true? Don’t buy from these people just seems like bad business all around and giving their customers excuses.

I ordered on October 24th during a sale and it I want to say a week or two later the tracker on their site said it was 90% done then stopped showing that. Emailed asking what was up they said they weren’t using that anymore. December rolls around still nothing on the 19th I email them asking if it’ll be here by Christmas they said unfortunately no but it’ll be here before the new year. It’s now the 3rd and no package, no update. I sent an email the other day with no response sent another today and depending on their response I’ll ask for a refund.

It’s a bit ridiculous to advertise 4-5 week crafting and then take almost 3 months or more from what others say. I get it, it’s a craft it takes time. On top of that you got a ton of orders because of the sales but shouldn’t it go by who ordered first? If you check their Facebook others that have ordered after me have received their stuff already. There’s also a lot of accounts that look like they are paid to put up pics of them with the rings and what not. Just all seems a little odd.

Well, something is going on here and whatever it is, it’s not right.

I ordered the “nightlight” which is a new product they announced at the beginning of 2018. I made my order in February of last year, with a slightly longer production time because I had to wait for the pre-sale to end and then for them to finish the item. June rolled around and still nothing. In July I got an email apologizing and offering a free(!) ring to all nightlight customers as a token of apology for the wait. I accepted the offer. I was quite pleasantly surprised because it seemed like a very generous offer for what at the time was not an obscene amount of time. Then the Fall rolled around, then Winter. Next month it will be a year since I made the order.

I have received a few updates with various excuses about processing and fixing this or that glitch in the new product. I’ve asked just for pictures and have been told 3 different times that pictures would be sent only when the product is ready to ship. Got an email in October that they had started shipping out the nightlights, then I asked in December if it would arrive for Christmas and was told yes, but I asked again for them
To confirm because it seemed implausible and then they switched their tone and said I probably wouldn’t receive it until the new year.

So these recent posts are all similar, tales of failure to receive the product. What is especially discomforting is that the excuses Secret Woods Inc is giving are all similar, but I was getting ones about tech glitches and other people about shortage of craftsmen, but the result is the same across the board - no product!

So, what is the deal? Are they a legit business? Seems they have a wealth of photos and videos of making the products, reporting about the company and their products in reputable publications, even having attended craft shows. I continue to get emails from them about flash sales (they’re especially diligent when it comes to trying to sell me more!) so it seems like they are still in business (or still scamming customers) even now. I have a pretty good nose for scams and this company really convinced me they were legit. They continue to reply to my email inquiries, but always kicking the can down the road with no photo evidence or any other proof that my products will arrive. I seriously wonder if they would refund my money without hassle or legal intervention on my part. I’m a Canadian citizen and have no problem having my attourney and possibly the RCMP intervene in this matter if they are scamming innocent clients out of hundreds of dollars each. That is certainly very unCanadian.

Ordered in Sep and till date, my order is still work in process. I have given up on ever receiving it. They even gave up on replying to my third and last email for an update.

I ordered a ring for my wife in mid September and as of December 23rd, still no ring. I sent a message at the end of October to get a status on my order only to get a snarky reply back on how their products are hand made and it takes 4-6 weeks to make and how I'm just going to have to wait and THEY will contact me when its ready. Second email sent in November and I'm met with an excuse of a shortage of craftsman with no estimate of when it would be finished. A third email in December with the threat of an order cancellation was met with an order update and photos of my purchase only 3 days after the message was sent. Finally some progress and the ring was on its way and I was assured it would be here before christmas. The estimated arrival has come and gone and no ring in sight. This will be my last purchase with this company and I will be getting a refund, this is one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had.

GUARANTEED Christmas delivery on orders before December 10th, so I placed one for a ring for my daughter, on the 6th. It's only from me emailing them multiple times as to the rings progress, that I learned 4 days before Christmas, the ring won't make it. It's as if they weren't even going to bother telling me. I made it clear in my first email that this was intended as a Christmas present. I don't know what kind of reputable company conducts themselves in this manner, but you're only as good as your word, and good their's is not. Now I'm stuck scrambling trying to figure out something nice to get my daughter, and they still have my money. Disappointing is an understatement. Really put a damper on this dad's Christmas with their flippant business practices

Ordered a northern lights ring and necklace for my wife to give her on our anniversary in Iceland. Cute idea right? To make sure I’d have it on time I ordered them on sept 1st. Just got back from Iceland yesterday. Nothing. Every time I email them they say there’s a delay. It’ll get there by Christmas. Lies. Don’t give this shoddy excuse for a company your money. They don’t deliver. Their website still says 3-4 weeks delivery time. Lies. Lies. And more lies. I’ve decided to cancel my order. God only knows if I’ll actually get my money back before next Christmas.

The pictures on the website are amazing but unfortunately but they are just that. Pictures. I ordered a necklace before Labor Day and they informed me that it would not arrive by Christmas despite the advertised 5-6 week crafting time. I gave up on them and requested my money back

I've purchased from them a few times. Despite the long (sometimes very long) production time, I absolutely adore their products - they are truly one of a kind and are simply breathtaking - Azure Falls and Arctic Summit are my favorite designs.

It took them almost 3 months to fulfill my order of a set of World Turtle Pendants. And after almost 6 months from the day where I ordered my La Palette Necklace, I was finally told that they were not able to produce the frame of the necklace, so I got sent something else in place of it. But the products I received were truly beautiful. While it is true that they weren't always efficient, their products are definitely worth it - you just gotta plan reaaal ahead.

For those who are interested in purchasing something similar in a more affordable price point, I would also recommend to check Storegreenwood on etsy out.

It was only $80 per ring before Halloween, then there was an excellent Halloween sale with a 50% discount, also $80 per ring ($160 without discount) and now during Thanksgiving weekend the price jumped up all the way to $460 per ring, but luckily its also with 40% discount so you can get one for $240 only. So hurry up and get yours before the fantastic 2019 sale before the price reaches $1000 per ring with a discount. Now these are really cool looking rings, but is it really worth that much?Note that all the other reviews here are written before the great price inflation. I'd be super positive if got it for $80, too, but now I'd like to hear from at least one person who bought it afterwards - is it really worth the money, besides all the marketing/hype? Be smart about what you're buying folks, price is just a perception.
