It’s a real shame because the Movavi editing software itself is excellent. Unfortunately, the purchasing and activation process has been extremely confusing.
The constant upselling makes it unclear what I have actually purchased and whether I need to upgrade further.
Overall, the customer service and after-sales support have been very frustrating to deal with. I would really appreciate some clear guidance on exactly what version I have purchased and how to properly activate it.

Be careful with free trials, they charge you right away!
I had made a 3 minute video, but I could only download it if I purchased a subscription. They advertised a 7 day free trial, but the next day they charged 525 kr from my account. When I contacted customer service they wrote that the effects sub-package did not have a free trial, but was charged immediately. This was not clearly stated in the original package.

Movavi seems rather invasive
I had just completed a feedback note to Movavi developers explaining that I was not happy with their decision to use Chrome (like it or not) to show a webpage. But then Movavi became even more invasive: After I submitted my comment, Movavi once again used Chrome to show me this very page at Trustpilot.

Above and Beyond!
From the time I reported that I was having an issue with transferring the software from PC to Laptop the Customer Care Department took ownership of my problem and gave an immediate resolution to the issue. And what was really surprising there was an actual 'Name' of a person assisting me in getting my problem resolved. To add to that, he followed up the next day to make sure everything was working properly. You don't find too many companies with that level of Customer Service. Job well done Movavi.

Shady Payments Processor
The company uses a shady payments processor that does not honor subscription cancellation requests. Software is fine but do not use unless they cease using 2Checkout.
Edit: While they say they have customer service support, this is one of those places that has abolished actual support and now offers only FAQs and chatbots. Their support email automatically bounces back explaining that they offer no human customer support.

Misleading customers on cost
Wanted to edit a video. The actual interface is good, but to export it, I needed to purchase a subscription for £20. Not too much for one month. But then once I tried to export it, to get rid of the Movavi watermark, you need to pay an extra £30 - what a waste of time and a way of extorting money out of you

Please note that if the program is already activated, the project is exported without a watermark. However, the program can export video with a watermark if you have used premium effects in your project –transitions, titles, music, marked with a pink crown icon.
Kindly note that purchasing a subscription to the "Movavi Effects" is not mandatory. Movavi Video Editor has a lot of free effects available by default, which you can use without purchasing an additional subscription. If you do not plan to purchase a subscription to the "Movavi Effects", you can remove all premium effects from your project and replace them with any free effects that are not marked with a pink crown icon. After that, you will be able to export your project to a media file without a watermark.

A satisfied first-time user
I had to create a 30 minutes long short film for my history course. I thought about a lot of softwares, but then someone on Reddit maybe recommended Movavi. I must say, this program was a perfect choice for this work. Easy to use and easy to understand most of the features. I was using only a limited amount of the available tools, but it was much better than I thought before. Thanks <3
