Please, Please Please I am sincerely requesting all prospective customers to completely avoid using this financial company. This company has made a huge mistake in my application for financial products like critical illness, life insurance and income protection cover back in 2020.

As a young first time home buyer - I really trusted my financial advisor to have done everything correctly to ensure I was fully protected with any unfortunate illness. Back in 2024 I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition which severely set my health back. I went to claim through Legal and General and they rejected my claim on the basis of incorrect information being sent to legal and general from the financial advisor of MORTGAGE BUREAU ( Mr Sam Gee).

This has infuriated me so much and upset me as I am struggling with my life. How incompetent can these people be who are working for Mortgage bureau. I filled out the advisor's questionnaire and he sent off the application to Legal and General. The advisor managed to get me financial products BASED ON HIS QUESTIONNAIRE which I filled out truthfully. It turns out the questionnaire which I received as a customer wasn't sufficient enough to match legal and generals criteria. He dishonesty filled out the form without clarifying it with me. As a result I have no financial protection for future problems if I was to have further complications with my health.

Mortgage Bureau should be ashamed of themselves for not taking any accountability or responsibility for their errors. You have destroyed my life and I beg people to not use this company. I also encourage and warn existing customers who have purchased policies though this company to look into their policy before a disastrous condition is diagnosed. My life has changed and I should have been financially secure after my diagnosis but this is not the case.

My last hope now is to take this company to court and get my compensation I fully deserve.

Ben Simmons was my mortgage adviser, from start to finish he’s been honest, totally transparent and genuinely did what was best for me. This process has not been an easy case. This is the second time I have used MAB.
What started as a seemingly routine mortgage transaction was complicated at the 11th hour by a 3rd party underwriter, jeopardising the purchase.
Craig Elliot of MAB York, and Abigail Phillips also of MAB York were both incredible. They did everything possible within and beyond their remit to get the purchase through on time. Their professionalism and compassion were remarkable, and I can't recommend them highly enough.

From start to finish, Tom Margitson and Connor Duffy were excellent, extremely patient when explaining things as mine wasn't just a straight forward re-mortgage or purchase. Their help, understanding and just being there to chat about the process was invaluable, would 100% recommend.

Six months on from the nightmare with MAB messing us around for months, we have involved the Financial ombudsman to try and get this shameful company to cover the cost of us being forced to pay a very large fee to someone else to secure the mortgage on our house. From MAB putting us through two months of hell, saying we needed a specialist lender at a higher interest rate for a small mortgage and coming up with nothing, we went to the new broker who we filed forms with on a Monday and who had our mortgage secured by the Friday with a high street lender at a normal intetest rate. Why couldn't MAB do that? Because they are spectacularly incompetent. After admitting they messed up and offering us a silly, insulting compensation for a two month nightmare (during which we literally faced being homeless), they are still trying to duck responsibility for everything they put us through. They're rogues. An absolute disgrace. I'll only remove the negative feedback if they do the decent thing. We'll see if they have that much integrity.

When things became complicated and options seemed limited, Karen took the time to carefully explore every possible route, explain our choices clearly, and guide us toward the best solution for our situation. The reassurance and positive attitude made a huge difference during what could have been a very stressful process.

Thanks to their dedication, persistence, and expert advice, we were able to secure our mortgage successfully and complete on our new home. We genuinely felt supported every step of the way and never rushed or left uncertain.

Terrible Service. Advisor was lovely at first, told us we were accepted for a mortgage at 250k and could we set up a call to discuss. Arranged to speak with him that week but he never called. Numerous calls and emails later and he doesn't ever get back in touch. We were genuinely worried for his safety as it was as if he had disappeared. Spoke to another advisor to ask if he still worked there, to be told that yes, he did - the records show we are approved but apparently he can't see any other details. He said he would have our advisor call the next day. Surprise surprise he hasn't called.

First time I have used Cary and her team and they have been absolutely fabulous! They take all the hassle away from you and work extremely hard to find you the best deal possible. The whole process is new to me and seemed quite complex, but engaging with these guys took away all the stress. They have kept me up to date with all actions and the communication couldn't have been easier, also found me a great deal. I would recommend the Mortgage Advice Bureau to everyone.

They take all the hassle away from you and work extremely hard to find you the best deal possible.mine was a remortgage to pay off my increasing debt. My credit score was on the very low end of the scale too. Marie Dunnabie my advisor was fabulous and made me feel very comfortable talking about my private finances. Transparency is the key and good communication. With Both of these Marie helped me through the process. She kept me up to date every step and I could contact her if I needed to aswell. She got a wonderful deal for me and I will be forever greatfull for her time and patience sorting everything out. Honestly I would recommend the Mortgage Advice Bureau to everyone. Marie was amazing GOD she knows her stuff!!! Thankyou once again 💓

Awful experience from start to finish. The adviser was noticeably rude the moment she heard my accent. She was dismissive, and clearly not interested in helping. But the moment she realised I had a large deposit, her attitude suddenly switched and she pretended to be very helpful. It felt fake.

She then asked for an unreasonable amount of documents, including years of bank statements, many payslips, and several forms of personal ID, all before even checking whether she could actually help me. After wasting my time, she still said they could not assist.

I went to another broker and got approved straight away with a high street bank, with none of the attitude or the unnecessary document demands.

Completely unprofessional and a waste of time.

My experience with Carla Peel was the only good part about my first-time house purchase! My conveyancers were a nightmare but getting my mortgage was such a quick, smooth, and hassle-free process from start to finish. Carla is so responsive and patient and kind. She is the only thing that kept me calm during the whole purchase! I can't recommend them/her more highly!!

They never hansering the phones ,they never respond to imails or aplicacions on web schud be schut for gout and not still taken money from the gourvaments and taxs payers

This is the 3rd time I have used Mortgage Advice Bureau and they are always extremely helpful. Josh and Joanne take the time to understand what I'm looking for and present the most relevant options. I really feel like they listen and get me, and are able to break down complicated matters so I can understand them. Would highly recommend!

We have just moved property, and our mortgage was set up by Jordan in the Edinburgh office. He was an absolute gentleman throughout out. The whole process, supporting us for over a year with queries and asks to find the right mortgage for a new purchase every time he was compassionate and understanding of our situation, always sharing great advice and information about the process and best value of mortgages. We have had a brilliant experience and are very grateful for all of Jordan's work. He has always been very positive and uplifting a top man.

I met with James Barkley for mortgage enquiry, he was extremely rude and judgemental to me in my circumstances, i would never ever use him or this company again. I later went on and sought support elsewhere had a completely different experience. Avoid at all costs!!

I have just completed on my bungalow. Jonathon took me through the mortgage process step by step. He was kind helpful and very professional. He was also there when I had a few issues with my solicitor etc.
Remmick sorted out my insurance details. She was fantastic - so very professional and helpful along with being a really lovely person.

I just wanted to make sure Becky gets the recognition she deserves. We’re first time buyers and were completely clueless about the whole process. Becky has helped us through every step, explaining everything until we understood it and has made what is a very daunting and scary process a lot more stress free and exciting.

This is about the 5th Mortgage I have taken out with Roger Croft. His advice is always really helpful and the admin team of Syndney and Clare have always been on hand to ask questions. Overall very happy with the service and cant believe its so cheap for all the work they do!
