Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 121 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers feel the game is designed to compel them to spend money, often without receiving the expected rewards or progress. People frequently encounter issues with the product, such as not getting rare stickers needed to complete albums, or experiencing glitches that lead to loss of progress and rewards. The customer service is often described as unhelpful, providing generic responses and failing to resolve player concerns, especially regarding lost items or account suspensions. Reviewers also express dissatisfaction with the app's user experience, citing constant glitches, excessive storage usage, and a gameplay loop that becomes repetitive and unrewarding without financial investment. The pricing structure is a major point of contention, with offers increasing after initial purchases and many feeling that the game is designed to heavily encourage spending. Conversely, a small portion of people felt the game is fun and addictive, appreciating the events and opportunities to progress without spending money.

1/1000 Horrible game overall

So number 1, the ads for this app say that it is "Monopoly, but on your phone". Monopoly is one of my favorite board games, but Monopoly Go is a game where you have a life system (dice), No actual Monopoly gameplay, and a sticker system, and a sabotage system. all of these things are things I hate about Mobile games. Also, it is way too advertised. I mean, 50% of the ads I see are for monopoly go. The actual game pushes you to watch ads, and i deleted this game 5 days after getting it. 1/1000 experience The worst mobile game i have ever played.
Also the actual gameplay is redundant, and it is basically designed to empty your pockets.

3 pop ups at a time coercing you to spend money? Really? I spent around 10 dollars on this game just to get an average of 15 minutes worth of game play, run out and to be hit with more money hungry pop ups. UNREAL and a SCAM. Designed to suck every dollar possible, evil stuff..

CAUTION PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Scopely is a money hungry company. They have zero respect for the consumer. The actual app is literally crap. It's constantly glitching and having ridiculous problems. If you happen to accidentally or on purpose take advantage of the glitch they suspend your account. It started out as if you breach the terms of service you get suspended and eventually banned. It has escalated to "something about your account is suspicious" so suspended. When you ask why you get nothing more than you violated the terms of service if any response at all. They are so shady that they are constantly bombarded by angry customers. If you choose to play this game please keep your expectations low and don't spend your hard earned money for the greedy company to become rich off of you.

Accounts Suspended for No Reason!

Yesterday, they suspended 7000 for no reason, I was one of them. I was in the middle of a flash event that I rarely get when it happened. I immediately contacted their customer service chat who never even answered. I waited 2 hours! Several hours later, I receive a form letter email stating reasons for suspensions as such using third-party software, buying dice or using mod hacks. I never cheated in my life! Then early this morning, I received an official email that it was a mistake. Too late! All my buildings were attacked. No shields left and obviously no more flash event. I had to waste money rebuilding landmarks and lots of dice to get shields! They need to do better. It's bad enough the game is rigged against you, and you can't ever complete albums, but this type of thing happens way too often!

I was suspended for no reason.Ihave been playing for almost a year.I am really hurt that I was suspended for no reason as I told others and was enjoying the game till today when I was suspended as I did nothing to be suspended as I was playing.I am 67 years old all alone and it helped with pass time for me and now being suspended for no reason you are to be ashamed of yourself.I was on chat trying to resolve the issue and was told to hold while they get an agent and no one came on chat or sent me an email as that was one of the question.

Monopoly Go is a money trap scam

Played this game for about 2 months and had fun. Even payed for ingame purchases which I hardly ever do.
I was also in the official MonopolyGo trading group, which i accidentally left.
When I noticed this I applied to rejoin the group. No chance, they kept refusing me, I have no clue as why.
So I kept applying and today all of a sudden my game account in the MonopolyGo game was suspended for 3 days. I was baffled and to be honest really pissed off about this, especially since I payed quite some money ingame and because 3 other players are now also duped because I can no longer help complete the current team event. I heard about a lot of other players who also got suspended for no reason. A friendly warning; don't step into the MonopolyGo trap, it feels like one big scam and the customers are treated like dirt, I hope that karma will do its job. As for me, I deleted the game app and will never ever play again. Their loss.

orst customer service on a game ever.

This game customer service are not interested in helping when you’ve got to pick a team to play Fantastic RACERS in Monopoly go you’re supposed to work as a team and you’ve usually got one player what sits there and has absolutely nothing refuses to collect any flags. And there’s no way you can even contact the player you can’t even remove him from your team so you’re just stuck there with him doing nothing and when you reported the customer service is absolutely appalling. They do absolutely nothing. They do not care the worst customer service on a game ever. Too many players on this game getting away with too much stuff and you cannot do nothing about it cause they do not help you

THEY'RE SCAMMING US ON PURPOSE!!!

These are the facts as I have experienced. I'll be using ALBUM SET 20 AS AN EXAMPLE:

1. 21ST OF JULY I TOOK A SCREENSHOT OF MY ALBUM AND HAD 3 GOLDEN STICKERS PLUS SOME

2. 23RD OF JULY THERE WAS A FORCED UPDATE, MEANING I COULDN'T PLAY UNTIL I UPDATED.

3. 25TH OF JULY MY 3 GOLDEN STICKERS WERE GONE PLUS OTHERS

4. 28TH OF JULY THE GOLDEN BLITZ IS SCHEDULED FOR 24HRS...THATS WHEN U CAN EXCHANGE 2 GOLDEN STICKERS.

5. I HAVE ANOTHER UPDATE WAITING FOR ME BUT I WAS ABLE TO PLAY...ITS NOT A FORCED UPDATE LIKE THE ONE ON THE 23RD.

6. I READ A REVIEW ON THE APP OF A FAMILY THAT PLAYED FOR 6YRS AND NEVER COMPLETED AN ALBUM!!!

The prize for an album completion is 15k worth of dice plus other prizes.
They're whole CORRUPT GAME is built on buying dice. And if players are working hard to collect and trade stickers and winning 15k dice fair and square then their billion/trillion $ biz will suffer.
Not suffer like real life suffering, but if they have 10 million downloads and each pays a min of $5 for extra dice, that's $50 million they miss.

And the very sad thing is that they can get away with it. And are getting away with it.

Customer Service always wants PROOF of complaints. Yet for some reason my SCREENSHOTS of the above are dismissed WITHOUT THEIR PROOF. I'm just supposed to take their word that it NEVER HAPPENED!!!

So I must be a TECH GENIUS to have put all those GOLDEN STICKERS and others into my ALBUM!
If that's the case, then why am I complaining?
I'll just do it again!

Scam

Monopoly go set group tasks to complete but allow people in the group to delete the progress made by both parties regardless of whether you have paid money to complete these tasks!! Leaving you to start over with someone else. When expressing my concerns to Monopoly go they could only understand my frustration but had no solution to my concerns. I feel they are encouraging people to pay for extras but have no safeguards to protect your rewards.

Customer Service lies to you

I contacted customer service about the accuracy of some information about their events that I saw on their Facebook site, posted by a user. They told me that the information was fake. Then I specifically asked about the next event that I had seen since I missed the one earlier. THEY LIED TO MY FACE! They claimed that there were no more events for the day. I logged in a few hours later. after spending all of my cash to find out, there is the event I was asking about. I asked customer service why they lied to me and they basically said, "Oops, sorry." If you haven't downloaded this game but are thinking about it, don't, you will regret it. Spend your money elsewhere.

I’m getting bored with Monopoly

I’m getting bored with Monopoly. I’m about to delete my account. The thing I hate the most is people taking down my landmarks and then I have to constantly pay and pay and pay to get them back up. That to me is the most boring part of this game and I don’t want to play it anymore. I’m tired of fixing my landmarks.

Totally baffled by son’s suspension

Totally baffled by son’s suspension. I have been playing this game for 2 years and other than it being stacked in the favour of the game providers with them trying to get you to spend money, it has been a mostly good experience. However, that has ALL changed and I am So angry! My son went to join me in one of the events and was suspended without any warning. When we went to all the trouble of contacting customer support we got a template automated response which implied he had violated their terms - we asked what this actually Means and had absolutely nothing back which makes any sense. We have had to research what it means on social media and apparently it is because he has used a special app to cheat or similar, or bought too much from them to gain advantage or used an unauthorized sticker exchange app … I can guarantee that he has done nothing of the sort and has no money (he is 10 years old!) or alternative app loaded on his phone - he has made barely any progress in the game! … what an absolute joke this game provider is - how do they get away with this? Many People are giving them huge sums of money to play - We won’t play again and I would advise anyone to stay away from a game where you can put so much effort in only for it to be taken away without any good explanation!

If I could give it NO STARS I would

If I could give it NO STARS I would. My account has been suspended 2 times already, next time they hit it my account will be banned. I asked both times what I did wrong and both times I was given the same generic answer. I played normally as I always have and never had a problem til they started this! Now if you get lucky and get to high in rank, gain just a few dice, buy to much or try to help a friend with stickers SUSPENDED OR BANNED. Do not download this app. It’s not worth the time and is no longer fun. They will just police your account til it disappears
