Don't believe his hype
This site is run as an affiliate site for one reason only. To make Martin Lewis wealthy.
Don't fall for the money saving rubbish. Originally the site was set up by him to do this, but it has morphed into something a lot more devious and sinister.
Stop falling for the repetitive hype of this site and the dodgy referral sites like Broadband Choices that never pay sign up bonuses.

Check information from so-called Money Savings Expert first. Don't TRUST them …
Thanks to Money Savings Expert who has restored my faith in their information.
I had previously written that I used to find the information they send useful and upon acting on them have been good. Unfortunately, the previous sentence is no Longer true. MSE, please don't use incentives and then in the small T&Cs claim that information provided may not be accurate. I trusted that the information and clicked on the link that your email provided on 09 April 2024 to apply for a Barclaycard that there was an incentive for £20 when spending £250 within 90 days. Having fulfilled the criteria, I now find that the information is FALSE. I checked with Barclaycard and found that there is no such incentive. Why does MSE advertise on behalf of Barclaycard? To me, it's a scam as I could have used my debit card to pay for the purchases instead of the Barclaycard and at least got a reward out of that.

MSE recommends liars, cheats, scammers
I've previously found this site to be trustworthy and have used their advise many times, but have now stopped. For boiler and heating system cover, they recommend the biggest scammers, liars and cheats I have ever come across (Your Repair). They have Ts and Cs so cleverly written they can refuse to cover common problems, and it's very hard to end contracts and from messages I've received since my review of them, threaten vulnerable people with debt collector visits. I caught them lying to me and my plumber and they ended up compensating me but how MSE can recommend them I can only guess they pay enough to overlook the facts. But of course MSE recommend an alternative... but guess what? It's the same company operating with a different name (Hometree). Be really careful as MSE is clearly not as independent and genuine as they claim, and recommends these liars, cheats amd scammers! 🤔

I was looking to switch energy supplier…
I was looking to switch energy supplier since E-ON proved to be not only expensive, but also down right dangerous in more than one way (yes, you read right, dangerous). I went on MSE searching for a new energy provider. At first I was impressed as prices looked more competitive than on other websites. However, as I made my choice and clicked away ready to make big savings, I was redirected by the energy company to their own webpage, where the prices advertised vanished, and offers with double the money charge appeared. I left the site and resumed my search only to experience the same thing a further two times. In short, MSE is used by various energy suppliers to lure customers on to their own website with the promise of cheap rates, when in fact they only offer rates at at least double the rates they advertise on MSE. This made my search a lengthy, complicated and frustrating experience. What frustrate me the most is that I am awaiting my time searching, while being repeatedly deceived hour after hour, just becasue MSE can't be asked to check that companies advertising on their website a specific deal, actually donor the offer, rather than deceive potential customers. Yet I see Martin Lewis is constantly on Youtube or TV preaching all sorts. He said that he still works at MSE. Well then, less talking and more checking Martin! False advertising should NOT be allowed and facilitated!
The fact that MSE invests so much energy on this website trying to make MSE look good, instead of regularly checking its business and when things go wrong as the result of MSE's neglect of its own business, MSE tells me to do its job speaks volumes. No, MSE, I wont be sending you anything. I won't be waisting a second more on that shamble of a webpage, sorry. The audacity to tell me to do your job!

MSE no more as competitive
Have used it for years for insurances and found useful but lately it is becoming incompetitive and there are sites and companies outside MSE recommended, that provide much cheaper insurances. So has it had it's day?

Having used the MSE Credit Club service for a number of years, I’m glad to see they are no-longer work in partnership with Experian :-)
Human beings have a great capacity for wrongdoing. It’s an attribute that is unique in the world of life. We can and do make things worse, voluntarily, with full knowledge of what we are doing (as well as accidentally, and carelessly, and in a manner that is wilfully blind). – Jordan B. Peterson 2018
Due to my background in commercial IT and having worked for financial institutions, I’m fully aware of the need to pay attention to the data on my own credit file. As MoneySavingExpert provided me with access to the data on my Experian file on a monthly basis for FREE, I signed up for the service over six years ago.
Whilst companies can have glossy web-sites and provide plenty of information in FAQ pages, it doesn’t mean that’s the service consumers are actually going to receive!
Experian clearly exploited the fact they are the largest of the Credit Reference Agencies, and as such the partnership with MoneySavingExpert helped them to gain the opportunity to further abuse UK consumers by enticing them into the paid for service at £14.99 per month offering no real benefits to consumers whilst failing to follow the Financial Conduct Authority’s framework on how to conduct business within a regulated industry :-(
As Experian has allowed ScottishPower to abuse my credit file with a false default applied against myself as an Executor of the Estate, and the Legal Director at Experian has a complete lack of understanding of The Theft Act 1968, Section 17 False Accounting, whilst then getting an external solicitors practice to threaten me with liable action; then I’m so glad to see the end of this partnership.
Fingers crossed the NEW partnership with TransUnion will provide MSE Credit Club members with a useful service and one that over the coming months will introduce the option to print/save a full report will become available; especially useful for keeping better historical records of our own credit reports.

No way to delete your account
No way to delete your account. No help on the website on how to do it. Search on Delete and you get nothing. All I want to do is delete/close my account on this website and I have no choice but to send an email and it to be dealt with by a real person. Slow and manual. Why not a simple possibility to delete your account yourself? Strange and controlling.
****** UPDATE *******
The email I received told me that no one will read my email because they are such a popular site they get 100,000's emails and so Martin certainly won't reply either.
Now what?

My post on Free Legionella Test for Landlords was rejected
I posted a post on how Landlords can save money on Legionella Tetsing by using the "Legionella Checks & Compliance App" and do the Legionella Assessment themselves for FREE
It was in no way a promotion, but a money saving tip.
They removed my post and sent me an email saying I am not a verified merchant :D
That should say it all. They only seem to work with Verified (people willing to pay commissions)
Cannot be trusted
I am glad to see that many others share the view of this corrupt site that push products of banks that perform underhand tactics and steal people's money. Also I see a reply on here from a moneysavingexpert employee saying they have a post of how you can complain about the Financial Ombudsman Service. There is nothing you can do about the corrupt Financial Ombudsman Service. All you can do is complain about the service you have received and because they set their own standards they will never be found at fault as long as they send a reply within three months they can do whatever they want which is why Financial providers are treating customers so badly. Martin Lewis and the Moneysavingexpert have completely lost my trust and I hope others wake up to this websites promotion of banks that are not saving customers money and are actually stealing customers money. Martin Lewis should change the name of his site to money stealing expert.

Cashplus bank have failed to release my…
Cashplus bank have failed to release my salary payment under the guise of security checks. Received a text saying it would ( not could) take 24 hours. I called and the call handler was unhelpful. Its clear this company are deliberately holding on to my money. 24 hours ended yesterday at 21.30, still do not have access to my salary, leading to missed payments. Will close account ASAP.

Credit Club
Although I can't speak to all of MoneySavingExpert.com's services, their Credit Club' gave me my Experian score. It is 102 points lower than my score on Experian's actual site. I have no idea if they want you to see your score as lower to offer 'help'... but that is flagrantly disingenuous information. I do not trust the company on anything based on that information.

What a complete waste of time. home insurance renewals all from this website, not one came in under £3000 and to give some context the most expensive and comprehensive on other comparisons sites like for like or better were £2000 less! Never again. Martin Lewis and his band of merry moneysavingexperts need to get real
