Simon at Uckfield was really informative and helped me choose an outdoor coat. He asked me what activities I did and made sure I was happy with my purchase. Thank you!

Brilliant Service
I bought a Berghaus Air 6 and Airporch in the recent Black Friday sale. Brilliant price and fast delivery. There was one slight problem with the tent. I contact Millets and they agreed to my proposed resolution and refunded me a further 10% on the sales price. Can't fault them.
Sham special offer cancelled next day then bomabarded with marketing
Ordered a special offer that stated in stock, next day cancelled and already sending me spam marketing emails. Complete sham, don't go anywhere near this company would never use again however cheap they pretend to have an item and would not recommend anyone uses them, will be sure to let everyone I know not to deal with this untrustworthy company avoid like the plague! Can see why they are so badly regarded on trustpilot!!!!
First class
Like many others who have posted positive reviews, I struggle to recognise the description of this company in poorer reviews.
Order process was easy and enjoyed a 30% discount in the process. Comms excellent regarding progress of order, including a 1 hour delivery window, and I received the goods within 36hrs of ordering.
Would not hesitate to use again, thank you
Fraud
My wife ordered a tent at milletsports.co.uk. The day after, she received a mail, confirming that the order was despatched.
Now after 2 weeks, and no shipment received, we tried to write to their customer service. Mail returned "not delivered due to non existing mail recipient". An alternative mail from their order confirmation was used. Again our mail was returned due to non existing mail recipient.
OK! the company does not exist, but happily receives our money?
Lack of shorts and a ball basket
Hi, I ordered a pair of shorts from the MilletsSports website and I was informed they were ready for collect at my local Millets Shop a few days late. Excellent! However the shorts were not there, and still not there a week later so the shop asked me to wait another week, which I did. A week later no shorts so I got in touch with Customer Services and my email was emphatically responded to, however 8 days later there was no further communication regarding the shorts and now a missing tennis ball basket (which I ordered for MilletsSports) had added to my problems. In the end, thanks to Nicole at Burgess Hill Millets my troubles may well be over thanks to her patient, dogged and persistent attitude in chasing up my orders, so I may yet have a pair of shorts and a Babolat ball basket waiting for me to collect this weekend, to be continued...
Excellent experience
Simple, straightforward transaction and delivered really quickly. Excellent value; almost half the price than available elsewhere.

Cash confusion
Incident number 10974851
I visited the Ipswich branch of Millets on Monday 22 August and purchased some trousers and paid partly on my debit card and partly cash. The debit card payment went through whereupon the shop assistant looked again at the £20 note I had given him, scratched his head as if I had given him some Monopoly money and said he wasn't sure he could accept the £20 as it came from the bank of Ulster. He then asked his manager if the cash was acceptable, she also looked confused and eventually said no it wasn't acceptable. I explained that the note was from Northern Ireland that is part of the U.K. and there was no reason that it couldn't be accepted along with notes from Scottish banks. I then spent at least 15 minutes waiting while the shop assistant was dispatched upstairs to fumble thorough a manual to see if the note could be accepted. Fortunately for me the 'manager' had to contact the head office for another matter and they were able to educate her that yes £20 notes from Northern Ireland are legal currency. She then asked me for payment of the balance with my debit card. I explained that I had already paid £11.54 on my card and that if she wanted another payment I would need a receipt to prove that this had been voided. Clearly flustered by this stage she assured me that the previous payment hadn't gone thorough so I foolishly allowed her to take a second payment. By this time I had spent at least half an hour in the store so she suggested that someone would drop off confirmation that my payment had been taken only once at my place of work. I received a printout and written note that the payment was only taken once but this contradicted my online bank statement that two payments had been taken on my debit card, one for 11.54 and another for 11.55. I returned to the store on Wednesday and the actual manager Richard explained that I had spoken to the supervisor on Monday and after obtaining another printout confirmed that I had indeed been charged twice on my debit card and that the system should not have allowed this to happen. He was helpful and promised a call back from customer services to arrange the refund. When I returned to work, I received a call from Ian at Millets customer service who logged the issue under reference 10974851, the till receipt I have has the reference 00286-1-59009.
Having spent about 20 minutes in the store I then had to hold on the phone while Ian flicked through the system to identify the duplicate payment. Eventually, I had to ask him to call back as I needed to attend to my work. He rang back and my receptionist answered and gave him my debit card details which he needed. He claimed the credit would applied to my card within 3-5 days but this never happened and neither did the promised £10 gift card. Rang again this Monday and my debit card details were taken for the second time and promised a refund on Monday of the full amount of £31.54 in recognition of the time and effort I have wasted. Again the refund didn't materialise and after a further email to them, Graham rang on Tuesday to apologise. Apparently Ian hadn't processed the refund and had subsequently been fired. According to Graham, after at least 30 minutes on the phone during which I had to give my card details for a third time, I would get the refund today but the three hours I have spent waiting in the store, writing emails and waiting on the phone while the customer services dept., messed me around didn't justify a full refund of £31.54. He said he would get back to me as he needed to consult about the promised refund. Needless to say no refund materialised for the third time and he didn't get back to me.
This issue is all because Millets staff were incapable of recognising legal tender in the Ipswich store. I'll have to request that my bank returns my money through the chargeback procedure because these people can't get their act together to issue a refund onto my card and I'm not prepared to spend more time chasing them for it. In retrospect, this is probably their stategy to exhaust customers into giving up chasing their entitlement to a refund. If you want a refund from this company, for example if like me you had your debit card payment taken twice in error, then be prepared for a lengthy wild goose chase and even then it's unlikely the issue will be resolved.
Postscrip- refund and £10 gift voucher came today so a result at last!
Worst customer service I've ever experienced
Ordered some trainers and paid extra for next day delivery. Next day got an email to say they would take three days. Phoned and cancelled but then the trainers arrived anyway! Wrong size so sent back for an exchange and instead just got a refund. Phoned and told they don't do exchanges despite their website saying they do. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
Avoid ordering from them.
After reading various poor reviews about Millet sport on the Internet, I regretted ignoring placing an order for delivery with them, thinking 'surly as a seemingly established company, they couldn't be that inadequate with customers?' However, after finally receiving my product, a sports watch on offer, that I would also receive cash back on, and placed for next day delivery, I was very dissatisfied. My original order bounced, and an insufficient time before the last orders for next day delivery they contacted me to tell me the order had not been placed. Due to a soon change in address, I replaced the order, knowing it would no longer be next day delivery but with no other choice if I wished to recieve the item. When my order finally arrived, it was not in the condition I expected from a business, with missing parts. After discussing my situation (the change of address) with a member of their enquiries team, I was advised to (pay myself) for the return of the item, clearly marked 'exchange' with the change of my address. Surprisingly, though I had followed the instructions, a week later I received an email from millet sports saying my item would be refunded, how they had missed the capital 'EXCHANGE' as well as the 'return address' is beyond me. I phoned the company as soon I could, to hold for a phone call that I would be immediately hung up on. Determined to sort my order I rang again. I just admit the gentleman dealing with my request was very polite, but am extremely dissappinted with the company that the only changes they could make to redeem their mistakes was to refund my next day delivery (as well as the watch) which they were not going to originally refund me with. Placing a next day delivery would normally suggest the customer would like thier product urgently/immediately, however now I am without product, without cash back, and extremely dissappinted with customer experience. Potential customers, you are informed and warned.
Appalling customer services. Do not buy from them! You've been warned!
I bought some salomon cosmic 4D 2 GTX ladies hiking boots in April. Within 4 months (take out delivery and returns procedure) and around 6 times use my feet in both boots were soaked! The boots were returned in near perfect use as you would expect with so little use and in fact only used for small dog walks (due to a back injury this was all I could manage).I didn't expect anything but a refund. How wrong was I. I had to send a couple of emails for updates, first response they didn't have detail of return and the second it was being looked at. The day after the second response I received a parcel containing the boots stating they hadn't found a fault so the cause of wet feet was through improper care. Absolutely appalling! Email sent to them stating I will not accept this and in fact want a supervisor to phone me ASAP! Current status...awaiting a phone call!!!!
I have also sent an email to salomon so let's see if their customer care is as good as millet sports!
lack of communication and poor delivery service.
I ordered a pair of Hoka challenger ATR 2 and purchased the next day delivery. I was sent an email to say they were dispatched and they would arrive next day, great.
I was then sent an email saying they weren't and there was a delay. Meanwhile I'm left in the lurch with no correspondence after me emailing Millet on more than one occasion.
Do I buy another pair from another company or wait. I wouldn't recommend using them, they are a very poor show.

Appalling customer Service
I place an order for a tent and an order for airbeds. Immediately afterwards I contacted customer service and asked them to combine the orders and save the postage. Literally it was a minute after the orders. They responded that their system does not allow them to amend orders, which cannot be true.
Later I chatted with several representatives after the two orders were delivered together as one and they utterly refused to offer a refund.
It was only £4.99, but it was the principle of charging twice for one delivery that really annoys me and not offering to amend the order, or refund it after the single delivery.
I place a lot of orders on line for hundreds of pounds and will be taking my business to Amazon, ebay or somewhere similar where at least you get decent customer service. For the sake of £4.99, Millets, Black's and JD Sports have lost out big time.
Great Experience
Bought an Osprey Sirrus Rucksack. Great price much cheaper than anywhere else with added bonus of 10% off discount code. Ordered on Sunday with standard delivery and rucksack was delivered on Tuesday. Could not be happier and would use again.
Lousy service and lousy products
I bought Hi-tec Altitude Waterproof boots just over a month ago. On first use in wet, the boots were soaked through so returned them to shop the following day. Whilst they said they were obviously faulty they could not provide a refund or exchange and had to send them away for inspection.
A week later the boots were returned to me in a box wet from the boots with a soggy letter attached saying they could not find a fault and were unable to examine them for health and safety reasons as they were wet! Fortunately I paid by credit card so am obtaining a refund from them. We will never use Millets/JD Sports again. A disgrace
Canceled my order 3times for no reason
Ordered xodus 3 times paid with credi card rejected - paid with paypal rejected - paid with paypal with the amount already deposited as paypal balance so that no credit card will be used rejected.
Site said item in stock.
Never had problems paying to other site before or since.
Big mistake
In fact, a series of big mistakes. Ordered for birthday present so although in good time, paid next day delivery to be comfortable. Details on order confirmation email were correct, but when dispatch email arrived, delivery and billing addresses were reversed. Messaged helpline Twitter account. No reply so I rang. This is when they told me next day delivery not available to my address. So now I may not have parcel in time for birthday. Meantime, they eventually replied on Twitter and decided to publish my work address in their reply. I tweeted and emailed address on their dispatch note, this came back undeliverable. Emailed another address, no reply. Had to ring them again to take my address off Twitter which they then did. And still waiting on my order, needed today. Never again folks.
Don't Trust Them
I am in Perth Australia, and up until this current order have had no issues.
Ordered a Prince Tennis racquet on the 25th May 2016, site said in stock, I thought it unusual when I didn't get the usual email confirming the order, but my Credit Card was charged on this date.
Normally I get the goods within 4 to 5 days, to date haven't received and was advised out of stock, which seems to be a common occurrence nowadays.
Circa to now, and after close to a dozen emails to Milletsports, who must run Activeinstinct, I have not received my refund, and have been told by Sean of Milletsports at least four times that refund will be processed in 3 to 5 working days.
I've gone to my Bank to get the refund sorted as these clowns don't seem capable of doing this.
I'm a member at a large Tennis club, and have previously promoted Activeinstinct and Milletsports to other members, I will be advising them NOT to purchase any goods with Activeinstinct or Milletsports.
You have lost a repeat client over this shameful treatment!
Couldn't care less about their customers
I had an order cancelled by these jokers, they had the same item in stock but in a slightly different colour. They refused to substitute the item but offered to sell it to me at twice the original price.
Customer service are full of all sorts of lies about 3rd party suppliers, not being associated with the street chain Millets and various other things.
An absolute bunch of clowns that you shouldn't go near.
Great !!
Ordered Nimbus 18 at great price £80 last night before 9 pm paid extra for one day delivery with Hermes. Shoes arrived today. Great. Thank you.
