The van was problematic. The tables didn't work. Upgraded AC and refrigerator but not the correct manuals only generic instructions. This caused a problem later on and a time delay. Just get the right manuals!

We arrived in NZ knowing we couldn’t see everything so we just headed off following the better weather The motorhome was a little cramped for a100kg male and a 65kg female
The handover was lacking in information but we worked through the issues

After sales was very disappointing through THL. after we lost 2 days just over 2 weeks into our 12 week holiday, it took more than 9 more weeks for there to be any offer and that was after I had emailed a 2nd time. by then it was too late to do anything. will not be going through THL again and will not be recommending THL. both vehicles were also poorly prepared. there were doors broken, water leaks loose bolts and screws. I also found medication from previous hirers in cupboards.

Handover can be better as there were a few things that I did not know how it worked, e.g. releasing the parking break if it does not release automatically.

On day of pickup had to wait 3.5hours, with little to no communication from staff. After asking about the delay we were fed some fabricated excuses about minor damage to the van, and engine light issue etc. I was generally disappointed in the lack of transparency about the delay and obvious stall tactics. We were offered a token half day refund and "cleaning package". Main disappointment was not being told what was going on after waiting for several hours.

From pick up at the Melbourne office, with Gabbi doing a great job looking after me during the whole process... through to driving and sleeping in the campervan, it was all brilliant! Will not hesitate to book with this company again! Campervan was modern, clean and great to drive! Top notch service!

Booking was easy. Location not great, 18ks from airport. Also 3pm office closing time is early.

Easy check in and Drop off process, and courtesy bus from and to the RV supercentre. we where able to grab some essential food items from returning groups, and the van performed really well on all types of roads, and conditions.

Pick up and drop was very smooth, condition of the camper van was very good, all the equipment were in perfectly running. Staff at both the end were cooperative.

There was lots of storage for things like clothes, not so much for bags though, well appointed.
The camping seats were awesome!

Mighty Camper Double, Mar - April 35 days hire. Pick up Auckland drop off Queenstown. Hand over was very short and vague as to certain aspects of operation (Sorry very busy to-day). hand back again rushed.
Chassis build date 2019 vehicle body showing its age. However, the vehicle operated flawlessly (Mechanically). Inside showing its age.
Problems found whilst travelling as follows:
1. When double bed made up at rear, we found used tissues, lolly wrappers stuffed behind the seats etc.
2. TV can only be used for entertainment i.e. DVD's / USB, however as the TV was fixed in position you could not access DVD/USB port. Therefore useless
3. When filling up water discovered that the hose didn't have a tap fitting (we brought one and left on hose)
4. Cleaning up only a dustpan and small hand brush suppled, so we brought a broom and left in M/Home.
5. Stove hob 3 gas & 1 Elect H/plate. we were informed that the auto igniter on F/Left burner U/S label said use match Ok, but when used the Gas to air ratio, not correct resulting in the bottom of the pan/s sooting up heavily. (Needs attention). We made do with 2 burners.
6. Water pump very noisy, i have similar pump at home runs a lot quieter (Needs attention).
The above comments were passed on to the people at Queenstown.
Apart from the above being slightly annoying, our holiday in New Zealand was great both scenic & cultural. Big difference between North & South islands. All in all, a great experience. Thank You New Zealand

We hired a Mighty Double Up camper van for 2 weeks to tour the South Island of NZ.
The hiring and collection of our campervan was faultless.
However, over the 2 weeks we encountered a number of issues with the van including broken equipment and even a broken door meaning it was a safety issue for us to get out. To their credit, we did get the door temporarily fixed at an RV Centre in Invercargill but all the other issues would have taken us away from our holiday to be fixed so these were left with a very minimal compensation supplied on drop off of the vehicle.
The van was clearly a lot older than the 4 year maximum noted on the website!
Would not recommend this company.

Nice camper, lovely to drive, great service at checkin, heaps of options online to ensure you get exactly what you want for the holiday.

Was great from start to finish. Only feedback is there should be somewhere to leave your car, or a new option to pick up from central coast. As we had to drive from the coast to bankstown to pick up with no where safe to park our car.

The camper was great.
