Disappointing experience despite being a repeat purchase.
Received a text from ArrowXL to say our washing machine or dryer (they didn’t say which) had been damaged in transit with no other information other than they would let Miele know.
Called Miele and their customer service is outsourced and there were times I had difficulty in understanding what they were saying and vice versa. Basically Miele have taken my money but I have no goods at home. I was told I’d be sent a link - no link received - I don’t understand what the resolution will be and I can’t actually speak to anyone to resolve this. I’ve just moved house and it’s very frustrating that I can’t wash or dry my clothes and I can’t even resolve an issue that was purely the fault of Miele and their delivery drivers.

Shockingly poor installation work carried out by your choice of subcontractor "Product Care"despite numerous visits.
Last one of which as dated.

I’m sorry to say my experience has been poor.
I bought the Miele washing machine for £1038 in 2021. Within a year the heating element failed. This was ‘fixed’ following two Miele technician visits. Everyone was very polite and two visits were necessary because a part had to be ordered. This work was done under the 12 month manufacturer warranty.
In June 2026 the heating fault recurred. This time the machine was out of warranty so I paid £260 for the Miele technician to replace the heating element again. Three weeks later the heating element failed yet again. Called Miele again and I was assured the repair visit would be covered as last months repair has a 12 month warranty. However this technician tells me the heating element has failed because the harness wire was too short. He tells me this had been identified as a fault back in 2021 and the harness wire should’ve been replaced then. It wasn’t, it was repaired instead and that’s what has caused the repeated failures to the heating element. To make matters worse, while the heating element is under guarantee, this won’t include the harness wire which will be a further £130 in repair costs. He has ordered the part so my machine won’t be fully repaired for another week.
It’s clear to me that had this faulty part been replaced in 2021 when it was still under warranty, it wouldn’t have failed again repeatedly this year. I’m now facing £380 in repair fees for a five year old ‘premium’ machine that’s had its heating element replaced four times.
I’ve spoken to the Miele customer care team - or tried to - but nice as the operative was, he couldn’t understand me and I couldn’t really understand him so things are not resolved.
Really unimpressed with Miele product and service.

Had to wait over 4 weeks without a functional washing machine before a replacement was delivered. During this wait I had to chase customer services multiple times to enquire what the delay was. Consequently, as a family of 3 adults, I had to make numerous trips to the launderette, at great personal expense until the replacement finally arrived, as well as pay for the original Miele engineer. Luckily my washing machine was still just within its 10 year warranty, so was replaced without charge. However I notice the replacement is only guaranteed for 2 years. Grateful to finally have a new machine now!

Your customer service was very poor. Before the engineer came we suffered few issues like wrong date, wrong time and cancellation that we didn’t request. Eventually when the engineer finally came he was amazing. Professional, friendly and knew what he was doing.
We spent a lot of money when we did our kitchen 7 years ago and we expect good service.

I expected far better from Miele, both in terms of product quality and customer service.
My dishwasher has never worked properly from the first time it was used. Miele has attended three times and replaced multiple parts, yet the fault remains unresolved.
What disappointed me most was how my complaint was handled. I wrote explaining that my complaint was based on my statutory consumer rights because the appliance has never functioned correctly, not on Miele's own returns or warranty policy. However, my concerns were never addressed. Instead, Miele simply relied on its internal policies and insisted I pay for another engineer visit before they would consider any further action.
After three unsuccessful repair attempts, I do not believe it is reasonable to ask a customer to pay again to investigate the same unresolved fault. For a company that promotes itself as a premium brand, I expected a much fairer and more customer-focused approach.
Engineer rectified problem efficiently. He was polite and helpful

The company is so fractured in dealing with problems and as a customer for 48 years the ability to have a conversation with a person who could resolve the problem was impossible. My washing machine had a leak, Miele technician called, he carried out an Earthing Test and found no earth in sockets, he could not carry out work which he stated on the Service Invoice and said, "UNABLE TO START WORK" there would be no charge. He said leak was caused by hole in door seal.
Immediately I received electronic Invoice from Miele for payment of £180:00. I contacted Miele and I was told to pay and would not be charged for the next call out when I have earthing returned to sockets.
I purchased a new door seal from Miele, Scottish Power renewed the street cable into the house consumer unit.
I now re-arranged a Miele technician appointment to replace new door seal.
Technician replaced door seal and logged on Service Invoice," CUSTOMER PREVIOUSLY PAID FOR CALL OUT" and shortly after the technician left I was again Invoiced for £180;00. Try as I did three times contacting MIele retelling the the story, referring Miele to the written Service Statements where it was clearly written "Unable to Start Work" they were still charging £180:00 and technician said I would not be charged. Miele is the most difficult company I have ever dealt with. I don't know if Customer Service find it difficult to understand good customer service or cannot understand English very well as I received an e-mail in broken English and full of spelling mistakes, or it is just a Company structure that fails it's very loyal and long standing customers and is more interested in money than retaining customers.
I do recognise that Miele manufacture appliances of the highest quality but to be ripped off by the company and the company showing disregard to an honest outcome it's "Goodbye" from me.

A cheerful, trustworthy and professional service. Rob has been coming to sort out our domestic appliances for years.
Recently my dishwasher packed up just before hosting a party with 50 guests… Rob made time to get it running again. I am so grateful not to be washing up by hand!! A huge thank you, Rob!
