Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the product quality, particularly the operating system, which they found to be problematic and intrusive with unwanted updates. Customers also frequently reported issues with the technology, including difficulties with cloud sync, website navigation, and the functionality of peripherals like pens and onscreen keyboards. The customer service was a major source of frustration, with many struggling to get human support, experiencing robotic responses, and facing endless loops when trying to resolve issues. Reviewers also felt that the company’s approach to user experience was poor, citing enforced logins, data collection, and a general disregard for customer needs.

Platform bug throttled my business launch post, support refused to help

A UI bug on LinkedIn's (owned by Microsoft) desktop platform caused my business launch post to display incorrectly, forcing me to make multiple edits to fix something that was LinkedIn's own rendering issue. These edits, which would not have been necessary had the platform functioned properly, resulted in the post's algorithmic distribution being severely throttled. For context, this was the inaugural public announcement of my consultancy after seven years of building the business.

When I contacted LinkedIn support, I was initially routed to what was presented as a human representative but was clearly a bot giving canned responses. After pushing, I eventually reached an actual person, but they made no effort to investigate or resolve the issue, despite LinkedIn having the tools to adjust post distribution or offer any form of remedy. The support case was closed without meaningful engagement with my complaint.

A platform of this scale should be able to acknowledge when its own bugs cause harm to users and take reasonable steps to make it right. Instead, the experience felt dismissive from start to finish.

I would caution any business relying on LinkedIn for important announcements to preview thoroughly across all devices, because if something goes wrong on their end, they will not help you.

Problems with Windows 11

MS either has a spyware in Windows 11 in Hungary or surveillance or automation destroying it but something not right with the services after they deployed.

Constant spam emails

Constant spam emails, the spam filter doesn't work at all. Doesn't matter if you manually class it as spam, there'll be another spam email five minutes later.

Very upset

Very upset. One account charged twice for the same x box subscription. Then when I try to get hel it is a very unhelpful AI loop that maybe just maybe if I spent hours figuring it all out maybe get get help. But would still not be sure. So not sure how long this has been going on but I need a refund. I guess this is how they make hundreds of billions of dollars. I am canceling this and every other Microsoft subscription I have. I do not have time to manage reading pages of f general support content to get to what I may need. They think of their customers only when it's time to take their money.

Contact

I rarely write reviews like this, but this experience truly pushed me to do so.

I have been trying to cancel a Microsoft subscription that is still being charged to my account, but I no longer have access to the email address linked to it. This should be a solvable situation.

Instead, I am stuck in an endless loop:
– I cannot access my account
– I cannot contact support without logging in
– Phone support redirects me to a website that requires login
– The automated system disconnects the call without offering real help

There is no accessible human support for a basic billing issue, and that is simply unacceptable.

Customers should not be forced to fight through broken systems just to stop a payment.

This is not a technical issue, this is a structural failure in customer service.

At this point, I have no choice but to block payments through my bank.

I sincerely hope Microsoft reconsiders how they handle support, because this experience is extremely frustrating and damaging to customer trust.

Half measures at best - Snake oil!

Half measures at best. This software has been garbage since day 1. More useless bells and whistles for every update yet they still can't fix ms word opening up unwarranted old word docs every time I open the software to start a new doc. They offer me an update to WIN11 but their download constntly failing on me. their ownk troubleshooting forums offer outdated, inaccurate and failed solutions.

Don’t do it!

Avoid signing up for a “free” trial of Microsoft 365. I am currently unable to cancel it, and there is no clear or effective way to contact Microsoft for proper support.

Despite this being a trial, I have already been charged on my credit card and I am still trying to get it resolved. What should be a simple cancellation has turned into hours of frustration and stress.

I only signed up to support a charity, as I normally use Apple products, and I deeply regret it.

Please be warned — this has been an extremely difficult and upsetting experience, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before signing up.

Windows-11 slows your system as much as a virus attack

I thought my system had been hacked: >90% use of CPU, MEM and DISK immediately after start-up. The system was unusable. Turned out to be Windows-11 installing lots of stuff I did not ask for, don't need or want and can't remove.
MicroSoft say 4GB RAM for windows-11. I have just upgraded to 8GB (max on my system)with marginal improvement. MS need to help users remove unwanted features.
Ecologically MS are a disaster. Staying with MS means buying a more powerful system every few years and scrapping perfectly good hardware.

Some of the worst software design

Some of the worst software design. I mean how do you break Notepad? That's worked since Windows 1.0? Since 1985?

They treat their customer base with such disinterest and sometimes hostility. I think they are going to be blindsided when a generation of young people install linux and have a cheaper computer that runs faster for longer.

‼️BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY STILL FEELS THE NEED TO STEAL FROM SICK, POOR DISABLED PEOPLE‼️

I have been charged repeatedly for a subscription that no longer exists. This subscription was cancelled and has been inactive for over TWO YEARS. I have not logged into the account during this time and have not used the service at all.

Despite this, charges have continued to be taken from my bank account, sometimes even twice in a single month. My bank has issued refunds, yet the charges keep reappearing.

Microsoft literally keeps trying every 10seconds to get money from my account it’s pathetic.

As someone who is sick and disabled, this situation has been deeply distressing and EXHAUSTING to manage. I have raised NUMEROUS complaints, yet the issue has continued without resolution.

This experience has caused significant inconvenience, DISTRESS and concern, and I hope it is taken seriously and addressed properly.

‼️Do NOT USE MICROSOFT or provide your bank details, many people have had to close their account just to get away from Microsoft GREEDY SLAVERY TYPE CLAWS.

Most People on this Earth hate Microsoft

When I went to write this review there were pages and pages of websites owners and users that hate Microsoft Windows. Microsoft knows, and don't care.

If you are a billionare with 20 computers; Your computer "going dead" because of a poorly writen operating program; is really not a big deal... However I have one destop computer.

When I turn my computer on, I have no way of knowing if it will become just another expensive brick. Time after time lately, I get a just a dark screen. I have been lucky; if I turn it off, and wait... I still get connected.

I do not want most of what Microsoft Windows says it can do... I am one of those simple people that want to check their email. Check on a sick relative, send or read a message, and perhaps watch a movie.

The wealthy love high tech games with their latest expensive, fast, high price computer. With their enormus paychecks they always have the ability to purchase a newer faster computer.

A broken computer is not a problem for 10 percent of Computer users of this world.

Microscoft is one of those Corperations that do not care anymore what their average customers want. . They're about pleasing the rich folk. From President on down they write increasingly complicated sofware for those that will make them richer.

It is time for a change!
