This is the 2nd Meaco Dd8l desiccant dehumidifier we have and it is brilliant, can feel the difference straight away. We have 2 other humidifiers but this one blows out warmm air which makes it much more pleasant. Not too noisy, good looking

Contacted Meaco about a faulty on/off switch Saturday,
Collected on Monday , new part fitted under warranty, Returned To me on Friday, with new parts fitted.
The way my problem was fixed in such short time says it all.
I would strongly recommend this product , with excellent after sales which I experienced!

Unfortunately, I'm not sure where to go with this.
I have previously left a review for Meaco outlining that whilst I think their products are good when working, they do have a tendency to stop working.
This was fine when their customer services setup worked and the dehumidifier was repaired - that was really efficient and helpful. Unfortunately, my recent experience is one of frustration and being strung along.
Having cut contact with me mid-support from 14/10/25 (they got to the point of asking if I had the original box to sort out sending the item back to them for repair, and then nothing - ghostsed), I have tried to reach out and continue the process, only to be completely cut off.
I then took to Trust Pilot to feed back on this. They reached out to my 2 start review on 09/12/25 saying they've requested my email address and would get back in touch to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
I shared my email address, they did not get back in touch.
I updated my previous review from 2 star to 1 star to reflect this, updating the overview. Still nothing.
Regardless of which route I take to try and get in touch, I am ignored or cut off. I've even tried restarting the whole process through their website. Nothing.
I fear they have now pushed me outside of my warranty period given it's almost 4 months since I last had any meaningful contact from them.
This is incredibly poor customer service.

Bought the Arête Two 12L. Fast delivery the product is fine but available £24 cheaper from a partner company meacodehumidifiers.co.uk who have a very similar website. Feel a little ripped off!!

Not only was my dehumidifier repaired and returned very quickly but everyone I dealt with either on the phone or by email was extremely friendly and helpful.
All in all a very good experience.

Amazing customer service with regard to the repair of my dehumidifier under warranty. Meaco provided a packing set to make the return hassle free and it was delivered within a day of requesting it via a reliable courier (DPD). I returned it the next working day (DPD via Post Office - a major plus already!) and it was repaired and returned within 3 working days of returning it. Bravo!

Hooray, I got my dehumidifier back today - all fixed and working again, thank you Meaco!
I really like the fact you have made the effort to repair it and not just replaced it.
The customer service team were quick to respond to me and the collection and delivery service was really efficient.
Happy customer :-)

When my dehumidifier stopped working properly after 1 year I call customer service and found the person dealing with my enquiry very helpful, the sort of services I haven’t had for years. She dictated me what exactly I need to put in my email to them in order to send back the machine for the repairs. The following day I received a very polite email apologising for the inconvenience and asking for the date I would like it to be collected for the repairs. Next day my machine was going to be collected. It took them only 3 days to deal with the problem sending me an email with the information about the fault. Hopefully the machine will be arriving soon.
Excellent service.

The MeacoDry Arete® One 20L has been a solid and reliable unit and dried a lot of washing / rooms in our house.
After a three years of ownership (almost on the dot!) the handle broke; which is not a trivial thing on a heavy unit while you're carrying it! I'm forever happy it wasn't on one of the many times we'd been lifting it over the dog or up the stairs...
Repair was done under warranty and pretty quickly. But they lose two stars for trying to argue that the handle breaking was wear-and-tear. If the handle is expected to break over the life of the unit then a) it should be user replaceable like the coasters, etc. and b) maybe warn people not to lift it anywhere it's not ok to fall...

For 8 years I have used the excellent Meaco DD8L Zambezi dehumidifier and decided to upgrade to Meaco's new Arete Two Dehumidifier & Air Purifier because it would be quieter for use in the bedroom where it is most needed. It is whisper quiet and super effective with clear & easy controls. I just could not be more pleased with it!

My slightly over two year old arête one dehumidifier stopped working. I first took it back to Costco where I purchased it but as it was slightly more than two years old they declined to replace it I then contacted Meaco uploading a picture of my receipt. This was the only difficult bit for me! Meaco delivered a box, picked up the dehumidifier, repaired it and returned it within a week. Excellent service.

Again super service
By Meaco, Our dehumidifier was collected by Dpd on Monday and taken back for repair under warranty, I have been contacted just now by Meaco ( Thursday ) and the Pcb has been replaced, machine serviced and cleaned. A big thanks for providing such a great service, no wonder you have great reviews, Shaun Spindley.

Superb company to deal with. One of the few who have got customer service beyond what it should be.
Had to return my dehumidifier under warranty. Nothing to much trouble, even emailing me when a returns label had been posted out. (I don't have a printer to print off a label). Was notified when Meaco had received the unit back. Repair completed within a couple of days and a detailed report of repair emailed to me. Unit returned and received next day.
6 stars and more to all Meaco staff
Many thanks

I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt I had to share my positive experience with Meaco. Their customer service is outstanding. I purchased my dehumidifier two years ago and recently began experiencing some issues with it. After contacting their customer service team, they promptly sent me a box to package the unit. The dehumidifier was collected, sent to their repair team, fixed, and delivered back to me — all within 10 days of reporting the issue.
I also received a detailed service report, and the machine is now working perfectly again. This was all done at no cost to me, as the unit is still within the five-year warranty. I highly recommend this company!

My Meacodry Arête One dehumidifier stopped working just under the two year warranty. I rang and explained. I had all the relevant details and proof of purchase. They were very helpful. They collected it on Thursday 29th Jan and it was returned today Wednesday 4th Feb. Everyone I spoke to was polite and very helpful. As long as you have all the required details they will help you in a very efficient way. (I always pay with PayPal then there is always proof of purchase and no hassle)Many thanx Meaco Weill definitely continue to recommend you to friends and family.Kind regards Tina

Meaco picked our faulty dehumidifier up,did a full repair under warranty and returned it in less than 10 days. It's a great comfort to know the 5 year warranty is honoured.

Purchased a MeacoDry to use near the kitchen exit to our garden/fields. It stopped working after 11 months despite great care being given to it (it was dry wiped off dust on the exterior, we cleaned the pre filter every 3 days and there were ample surrounding space so the unit would never get bumped into or grazed). I searched online and discovered that the issue has been reported by countless other customers, some who even experienced it with several units.
Due to hoping to get it repaired, I attempted to find the receipt. Alas I was unsuccessful as it appeared to have been misplaced during our move (I was pregnant at the time so it was quite stressful).
Logically the next move was to contact Meaco & explain the situation. Instantly I was told that a repair or replacement would be impossible without proof of purchase. I attempted to explain this and stated I would be more than willing to pay for the repair cost but they would not budge.
A friend who works in a retailer had recommended I buy a Meaco Sefte soon to prepare for summer but I feel entirely unsold on this idea now. As someone who has worked in the sustainability sector for 19 years myself - I find Meaco's supposed commitment to sustainability to be untrue. They will allow their units to go into landfills even at the chance of losing money they stand to make from repairs.
I hope Meaco will reconsider this 'planned obsolescence' esque policy and allow their customers the chance to receive paid repairs without proof of purchase. Especially given that the fault seems to based upon manufacturer error/a highly prevalent defect.
