I tried and finally succeeded to get live persons

I tried and finally succeeded to reported fraudulent charges. It was a nightmare just getting to the fraud helpline. NOT very helpful, then I had to deal with a person named Kenneth whose "English" was very hard to understand. When I told him he was hard to understand he shouted at me that his English was perfect. Why do companies hire people that can't speak understandable English. Kenneth was insulted and hung up on me.
Customer service in this instance was pathetic.

Don't sign up with this card or company. They claim that they do balance transfers, but what really happens is they give the balance transfer once to get you to sign up then don't offer it ever again and give u a run around. Don't waist your time.

Eric - Manager

I dealt with a manager by the name of Eric who was a great help in rectifying an issue I was having with a balance transfer. Thanks again!

I had a very difficult experience in dealing and trying to resolve a fraudulent charge on my card which is still going on up until now. The customer service is not the most helpful and contacting the fraud department is a nightmare. I gave one star because there was no option for zero. Never will use any MBNA cards again.

Their interest rate policies are vague…

Their interest rate policies are vague and poorly communicated — there’s no proactive notice when you’re slipping into a revolving interest situation. It feels like they count on customers missing fine print rather than helping them stay in control of their finances.

Customer support is equally frustrating. There’s no email address to reach out, no live chat, and no call-back option. Your only choice is to wait on hold forever on a single phone line, and when you finally speak to someone, it’s rarely productive. Even for something that should be simple, you end up going in circles.

MBNA Canada does not support it's…

MBNA Canada does not support it's client base. It is only concerned with profits. I had a fraud case, provided and fill out the required forms, added documentation, Invoice, Photos of damages. Spoke to claims officer. They simply denied my claim. They stated that photos are not proof of damage and that I had to get a 3rd party expert.. WTF? CS is garbage, Esculated Managers are the same. Zero respect. All they care is their profit margins and closing cases without resolution. I am cancelling my credit card. YOU SHOULD DO THE SAME. EXTREMELY HIGH INTEREST RATES FOR PROFIT MARGINS OFF THE BACKS OF CONSUMERS WITH ZERO PROTECTION.

Heartless

They don't care about customers who have fraud committed against them, especially the elderly. If you know anyone with MBNA credit card, tell them to cancel as soon as possible.

account closed with no reason why and no notification …

They closed my husbands account without even telling him. His card expired and he didn’t receive his new one in the mail. When he called to inquire, they said the account was closed by MBNA even though all payments were made on time. They couldn’t re-activate the account and told him to re-apply. Screw that …. Bye bye MBNA.

No support for fraud, beware

I have been with MBNA for many years and have always paid off my account every month. Last fall, I had a fraud case involving my card for a lot of money and after submitting a fraud claim, MBNA refused me, asking for more information. I have no more information other that my statements that show where the money went and the person we talked to on the phone claimed to be someone else. This is FRAUD and we should be insured for this by MBNA. It'll be time to look for a new credit card company if they treat their customers this way, leaving us on the hook for the money.

Awful customer service

They really have the worst customer service. They approved my card then asked me to submit a proof of address as a bank statement which I did, then they said it’s not enough, I closed the account, I wanted to pay the 19CAd outstanding but they re not helping me understand how to do that and their calls get disconnected every time u call and no one calls
Back so u have to wait 30min just for no one to call back, they also don’t send u emails to confirm closing or modification of ur account, so you don’t have proof of what u do

MBNA is not too bright

I signed up for an Amazon MBNA credit card. I didn't need it so I canceled the card. Then I received a statement because Amazon made it my primary card. I had to deal with Amazon and MBNA back and forth. Because the statement didn't have a full credit card number MBNA transfered me to the fraud department that hung up. I called back Amazon and spoke to a supervisor. She contacted MBNA and transferred me. MBNA hung up again after hearing my voice. I called back Amazon and spoke to another supervisor. She took an hour and finally credited the MBNA card. Three hours on the phone to fix a problem of $17.08 that MBNA was pestering me about.

MBNA no customer service causing customer to pay unnecessary interest

This is the worst and most disgusting company I have ever dealt with. They stopped delivering my statements. I had thought I had a credit balance explaining why they were not coming. I had automatic payments paying them every month. They marked my account undeliverable. When I realized it was too long since I had a statement that I should be owing money and called in and found out they stopped sending my statements. I asked for interest relief for the time I had not received my statement in which I was ignored by MBNA and sent a couple dispute letters which they are legally required to respond to but did not. I then went to the ombudsman as there is legal legislation that require credit card companies that they must send statements monthly when there is a credit. But MBNA can get around this through there service agreement so that is another issue that even though the government can put in regulations MBNA can skirt around it. I ended up paying $1000 interest I would not have paid if I had seen my statement all because MBNA could not take 5 minutes to phone me saying my mail had been returned to them as undeliverable, I did not move and was in the same house. This is why MBNA Through Toronto Dominion TD bank can make hundreds of million of profit every year.

Horrible credit card company

Horrible credit card company.
I tried to get access to my elderly mom’s account online or over the phone. My mom authorized this with them. I am her POA and pay all her bills. I sent them my POA papers as requested. I was sent a letter saying they could not add me because I did not meet their requirements. I’m sorry but my credit score is over 800! Their loss. I’m using another credit card company for all of mom’s transactions. Bye bye MBNA!
