A kind note .....

I stayed at Malmaison Manchester on my own and had a lovely restful luxurious night on 31:03:26 in room 538. I took the little Malmaison note pad home with me and a week later I've just found a lovely note from the person that stayed there on 26:03:26 ..it started by saying 'you found my note etc and hoped that I enjoyed my stay as much as they did!" And they told me the story of what they did in Manchester on their stay.

I can't tell you how I feel like crying now and how lovely that note was to read. So in case you are reading this ........thankyou ... You never know who needs to see kind words xx

Disappointing service

Stayed at Malmaison Deansgate last night. Reported extremely noisy aircon to reception post check-in. Received assurances it would be dealt with however no action taken. Returned to the hotel at 10.20 to be told by a rude female night receptionist that the bar was closed !!! All in all disappointing.

Stayed at Malmaison Manchester…

Stayed at Malmaison Manchester Piccadilly very last minute as we were massively let down on an AirBnB. We basically walked in off the street and the reception staff were so helpful they were fully booked but did some moving around and got the 3 of us in a room for two nights. All staff super helpful and the room was really comfortable. Great location to the station and about 10 mins walk to main shopping area.

My partner and I had a wonderful afternoon tea at Malmaison today.
The food was lovely, and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed afternoon. The staff truly made the experience stand out – they were friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout. Thank you for such a delightful experience – we’ll definitely be back!

Booking cancelled at short notice

I ate at Sora, their rooftop restaurant last year and the food and service was very good (although the view wasn’t amazing) so I booked it again, two months in advance, for a special dinner after an event I was holding in the city. Less than a week before I was due to arrive, I had an email saying sorry, we’ve taken a booking to privatise the whole restaurant, so you can no longer come. When I complained, all I was offered was a free ‘round of drinks’ when I next visited. Be warned - if you make a booking here it’s effectively meaningless as it could be cancelled at a moment’s notice if they get a better offer. Very disappointing customer service.

Left a sweatshirt in the room

Left a sweatshirt in the room. Brand new and unworn. Had to wait two weeks to reply to my email then they wanted to change me £14 to return it. The garment was only £11. It doesn’t cost £14 to return one light sweatshirt and they should use a cheaper service if it does. Needless to say they’re now keeping it. I’m not paying that.

Mother Day afternoon tea

We had Mother’s Day afternoon tea at Malmaison Deansgate this afternoon and all I can say is WOW! 🤩
The food was absolutely delicious a change from the usual fare of finger sandwiches you get elsewhere ! Tuna tacos, mini sliders, beef brisket bites , spicy buttermilk chicken and then a plethora of tasty puds ! The staff were lovely too so welcoming and helpful, I will definitely be going back and would highly recommend 🥳

The hotel in Deansgate was lovely

The hotel in Deansgate was lovely. We popped in for a quiet bite to eat on a miserable day. The staff were attentive and helpful. The Cobb Salad I had was simply the best salad I have ever tasted and was huge in portion size. It all led to a lovely day out.

Myself

Myself, my daughter arrived at Piccadilly station at 14.56 and waked down to Malmaison. We arrived at the nearest entrance, no one there. Waited for a while, no attention from anyone but noticed people at the other end of the room, found someone in a uniform who told us they weren’t serving food to go to the cafe. Not very busy, no one in attendance, we found a three seated table and sat for 25 minutes, there was one man behind the bar, so went up to him and was told he would come to us when he had finished serving cocktails. 15 minutes later came and took our order. To be fair he seemed to be the only person on duty. Our order arrived in timely fashion, the table although with 3 seats was enough space to accommodate. There wasn’t any seasoning that all the meals needed I had to go and find someone to ask for seasoning, apparently balsamic was not available. We had to order salt and pepper which was essential; The fries were good, the burgers tasteless. I ordered the chicken wrap which was a compression of tasteless. I have to say, at this stage I think the staff must have changed shift, the waitress was called over, she was absolutely charming, the order for more coke and coffee arrived promptly. All this for £83.44

Great Hotel in centre of Manchester

Stayed for one night as attending a concert at the Co-Op arena. Really nice hotel, great location for the train and the trams to get to the arena/Etihad.

Rooms done out really nice, excellent condition throughout.

Would really recommend this hotel if staying in Manchester.

Expected better

My husband and I recently spent two nights at the Malmaison Manchester Piccadilly, the hotel was nice on the surface, nicely decorated etc.. The rooms are advertised as having a power shower, this was not the case in our room, it came out as a slow trickle, and that was also at a inconsistent temperature, either freezing cold or scolding hot! The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the Mattress didn’t seem to fit the frame that well, as the pillows would gradually slip between the headboard and mattress. The room was very hot as were the lobby’s. During our stay they’re was also only one of the two lifts functioning, for the amount of rooms this was an inconvenience and a long wait.
We really thought for the money they charge it would have been better than a budget hotel

Would definitely return!

My husband and I booked for the September weekend. The staff were very friendly and warm, and the room was exceptional - very quirky and found it to be immaculate.
There was quite a bit of noise in the halls from other guests which was unfortunate.

We will definitely be coming back.

Staying here 3 nights over Xmas

Staying here 3 nights over Xmas. Not given the suite we specifically requested.Ours is front of hotel. We requested back one which have had before Plenty of room tho lounge bedroom and bathroom. But very very dark , and not enough lighting, apart from bathroom Furniture needs some updating|TLC bathroom has those awkward dispensers on wall. Shower gel. Shampoo and hand wash. Which I cannot get any out of it just dribbled down side. Had to go buy my own stuff
Food xmas eve and day was amazing as was 2 years ago however Boxing Day was awful. We were told by 2 members of staff brunch is 11_4. So we arrived earlier than we planned at three to be told they were finishing. However They fitted us in stArters from chefs tSble self serve were nice. My main meal beef was beautiful but not very warm. Partners curry was not edible the lamb was just all gristle roasts with beef meal were like bricks. ( we were not offered any replacements ) Sweets arrived and had to send one back as it was barely Luke warm had to shout staff for service. Hotel in general seems not as festive as 2 years ago Then we had pies and satsumas on front desk. ( lovely touch) nothing this year. Gift in room this year was a ( one ) bath bomb , last time was a lovely spa gift set. Last time mal slab of choc in room , this time two choc truffles ( they are not even nice) staff in general need to up their game, they don’t give out correct info and don’t have clue what they are doing. We loved our last Christmas visit but will probably look elsewhere next year. Can’t emphasise enough that food should be hot and checked before it is sent out.
