While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Currently 1 star as the site is now…

Currently 1 star as the site is now down and there is literally no way to contact them. Having been a seller for a while there, it just seems like they don't care about the marketplace they are trying to create as it has already been down for days with no contact to sellers such as myself.

Phishing Scams and Terrible Customer Care

As a Top 10% seller on TPT I decided to try Made By Teachers so see if I could increase my income. It was a horrible experience and their customer care is the worst I've experienced in a long while.

First of all, the site itself isn't great - it's not exactly user friendly, and very difficult to use as a seller. Plus, it's riddled with advertising. But I can just about forgive this, as perhaps it's a start-up or fledgling company that isn't quite a refined as TPT yet.

What I cannot forgive is the way I was treated by them and the phishing scams that also riddle the site. It took them weeks and weeks to reply to me when I informed them of the scams and that I was concerned by account had been hacked, and to process a refund (which I requested after around a week of being on the platform).

Eventually, when they did deign to reply to me they said they'd decided to shut my account - as if I was somehow the problem for expecting the refund I'd been promised, chasing a reply to the half a dozen messages I'd sent, and enquiring if my email had been compromised due to all the phishing scam emails I'd received as a result of opening an account with them.

Their tone throughout the whole (short) time I was on the site seemed like they couldn't give a F. And this was confirmed by the rude abrupt way they closed my account for asking some simple questions about wtf was going on?

My feeling is, this is a failing business and a cash grab while it's still operational. Which won't be for much longer imo given how they treat their users.

I purchased a worksheet for $6…the order went through, and I attempted the download (numerous times) but it did not work, instead it directed me to another place to add more information including putting in my credit card AGAIN. The site said “contact owner” if the download didn’t work, but there’s literally no way to do so. I filed a claim at my bank.
