Mouse wheel that malfunctions after barely 1 year of use. After contacting after-sales service: In 48 hours they were able to tell me that it was good, they were going to send me a new mouse. More than a month passed between this exchange and shipping, which took another 10 days. On arrival obliged to pay another 21eur customs fees (reimbursed by madcatz but still with 2€ fees linked to Paypal). in the end it is always the consumer who pays. I absolutely do not recommend this brand, whether for its more than questionable quality, or its strange practices and improbable deadlines. Really disappointed

I recently contacted Mad Catz support about my R.A.T. 8+ mouse, which had developed an issue with the left mouse button. Unfortunately, I was about 20 days past the warranty period, so I didn’t expect much help. Other than possible information on how I could buy spare parts from them. To my surprise, the Mad Catz team went above and beyond what I ever expected from a support department.
They responded quickly, treated my situation with genuine care, and helped me repair my mouse even though it was technically out of warranty. Their communication was clear, friendly, and professional every step of the way. It’s rare these days to find a company that stands behind its products like this.
Mad Catz has earned my complete trust and loyalty. I’ll definitely continue buying their products and recommending them to others. Thank you for turning what could have been a frustrating experience into a truly positive one!

Not only is Madcatz back, but with this type of customer service, they're about to become a very serious contender, because every other company still treats their customers like fodder. I want to give a HUGE should out to the Mad Catz over at Mad Catz!!
A little over 10 years ago I got myself their top tier R.A.T.9 Wireless Gaming Mouse. This was not available in Australia at the time however it could be purchased directly through their web store and shipped globally.
The mouse was absolutely incredible. Without question the best mouse I have ever used, even now. However, it did develop a critical issue with the laser that rendered it completely unusable.
At the time I contacted them about it, and there was a bit of back and forth between me, them and their distributor in Australia, Eventually their Aussie distributor told me to tell my story walking as it wasn't purchased here in Australia.
While that was fair, it was disappointing. On that, Mad Catz WERE happy to help out, but I would have had to ship the mouse back to the USA, and back again on my own dollar. At the time, Express insured registered postage for the mouse to USA and back would have cost over $200 making it cheaper to just buy a replacement mouse locally from a competitor. So thats what I did and left it at that.
Fast Forward 10 years and I mention on a FB post that I had a disappointing experience in the past, Well one of the legends at Mad Catz came across my comment and reached out to invite me to share my experience with them. I did, and they were like "No, man thats not on...that should not have happened...We are going to make it right by you!"
Today I received a package from them containing their absolute top tier mouse, AND a mouse pad too!
You guys are absolute legends! The mouse is incredible!
They did not have to do anything, they could have ignored me, or simply said "sorry you had that experience, we will try to do better in future" like every other company would have.
But not Mad Catz! They cared, took the time and made it right by me! This is what a company that cares about its customers, and its products looks like!

Worse tan pound land
Most expensive mouse I have ever baught, a month in I notice it glitching out, turning off and just not working. I baught another mouse for pound land, it's an upgrade compared to the mad catz rat pro.

Poor quality software, hardware and support,.
Company and their poor quality accessories/equipment is one of the worst ever...AVOID!
In 2013/14 I had one of their keyboards, Cyborg V7 to be exact in . Was working fine for just over a year then when disconnected windows 7 later moving to 8 and 8.1 neither bios or windows would not see it. Drivers were useless, even if installed the keyboard would not work. Found some instructions on web but the hoops you had to jump through were too much, even the support had you do this and that to get it to work and even then it was a lottery.

"With the keyboard plugged in (and not responding) go to Control Panel > System > Device Manager.
You should see two entries for the keyboard accompanied by exclamation marks in the Human Interface section.
Right click one of the entries and select Update Driver, then select browse my computer for driver software.
Select 'Let me pick from a list...' From the list you are presented with, select either USB-Human Interface Device or HID-compliant device and click next. Repeat for the other entry and the computer should now see your keyboard as a basic USB keyboard. This will allow you to reinstall the Saitek driver for the board." I kept the keyboard for few years in a box and gave it to my friend who had exact same issues.
This is not something a customer should have to be doing especially as this supposed to be a "gaming" device.
I only just found one of the tech emails when clearing up my email app from back in the day ans which is why I wrote this only now.

Waithing 4 week for a replacement …
Waithing 4 week for a replacement nothing happend and now they don't even respond to my mails.
Stay away from Mad Cats. paid £170 for a headphones that don't work.
Almost comical experience
Owner of a R.A.T. 9 here. After roughly three years, the batteries of this mouse became unusable.
I contacted Madcatz Tech support, where I was told that my issue is not a tech support problem and I should go look on Amazon for new batteries. I had in fact done that berforehand but hadn't found any. When I stated that to the support person, he became pretty unfriendly, told me again that this is not a tech support issue.
When I asked him, whom I could contact to get help with that issue, he said that that wasn't a tech support question either and that I should go look on Amazon...
Never again...

Taking poor customer service to a whole new level
I really want to like this company, but a lot of things makes that impossible. Their site is a mishmash of bad UX, poor solutions and plugins that don't go together at all. But much worse is their total reluctance to communicate with their customers.
I placed an order for a product in their online store. The product was shipped two days after, which is not good by any western standard, but still acceptable. Now the charade starts. They sent the product to the wrong country. And while it was out for delivery a couple of thousand km off, someone realized this and sent it back to the store.
Madcatz did not inform me about this, the only reason I knew this was because I checked the tracking information of the carrier. I contacted Madcatz and asked them for an explanation and a new delivery date. After two days they responded that they had escalated the matter to another department. Haha... It's now been a week since that information was received and more than two weeks since the initial purchase. The product has not left the store (well, it did once, but you know what happened then), but I have paid it in full. To make matters even more laughable, their online chat support that is marked as online, goes offline as soon as you start chatting with them. Amazing.
Now, I don't have a problem with waiting for a product for more than two weeks, that's OK. But what I totally hate is companies ignoring their customers paying their salaries. I would never recommend this store to anyone I know - I simply don't know anyone that appreciates being ignored by suppliers. All I want is an answer about what is going on and what they are doing to solve the situation - that's exactly what I'm not getting. Embarrassing.
There are so many good and customer oriented companies out there and this one is definitely not one of those. Stay away.

I tried to contact local electronic stores to see if they had them, or were able to purchase some through the store, to no avail.
As a final resort I contacted Madcatz with my issue, and they didn't skip a beat in sending me a fresh pair of new ones, free of charge. I'll without a doubt come back for more from them.
