It was a straightforward switch. Mainly because USwitch made it so.
I can't comment on LVE as l have only just switched to them from Darwin.
What l liked about Darwin was their monthly newsletter, what l didn't like was their offer once my insurance was due, a hike of approximately £150 for the same policy with no claims in the year l was with them.

LV didn't manage the process with its suppliers. It was left entirely to me. I had to negotiate with Halo ARC, the repair company, and with Enterprise, the car hire company.
Repair service was slow: the accident occured on 17April. I informed LV same day. But my vehicle wasn't collected for repair by Halo ARC until 27 April.
Halo kept my vehicle unrepaired until 5 May in Thurrock waiting for internal sign-off for transfer to Halo Bognor branch.
Halo ordered parts on 7 May. Halo began repairs on 8 May.
Halo returned the vehicle 14 May while I was away on holiday.
My daughter discovered the vehicle on 15 May with rear bumper damage.
Halo denies any responsibility for the new damage.
So without proof I have to believe that the vehicle was mysteriously damaged overnight in a street where it has been parked almost every night for 6 years without previous incident. This is possible, but statistically unlikely.
Now I have to have the vehicle repaired again at my own cost.

I thought the insurance was expensive but competitive, suspecting that ageism was a factor! Also, the reams of terms and conditions are extensive and complex.

I have just taken out car insurance with this company and the process online was easy, even for an old 🦕 like me.
Hopefully I don't have to contact them again until renewal but if so I would be happy if I receive the same consideration as shown when signing up.

Everyone I spoke to at LV were super helpful, did everything to guide me through the process at a very stressful time. They were amazing and tbh U always here bad stories about insurers. In my experience LV were first class and I'd now not go anywhere else,
