Unable to cancel premium subscriptioin

I just had one of the worst experiences I have ever had with an online service provider. I wanted to cancel a free Linked In premium trial subscription I bought through my Iphone, sine I don't have an Iphone any more. But I was told that was impossible and that LinkedIn will go ahead and charge the subscription, because it is going to take some days verifying my Apple account.

My hot take

My hot take:

I don't like LinkedIn. I don't like what it's done to work culture. You can't reduce it all to a social media. you have to meet people for REAL! And resume build!.

Absolute utter useless app

Absolute utter useless app. Broken UI, overpriced premiums, and it just locked me out because I was removing inactive connections. Unusable messaging. Tons of completely irrelevant, useless ads in my inbox and everywhere. You remove connections and this sh@t still shows them as part of your network, even after clearing browner data, restarting everything. Piece of cr@p, they should go bankrupt.

But all the scammers and fake recruiters are very free to wens you scam emails ALL THE TIME.

The worst service i've ever had to deal with

This has been the worst service I've ever encountered. And this has been the case from the very beginning of registration, the subsequent login to the account, and the actual work in it. I will say right away that it is impossible to register from a computer using email. At the final steps of registration, either a message will not arrive to the specified email, or an unexpected error will occur, and a message about it will appear on the screen. When you try again, your previously specified email will already be invalid because a user with that email already exists. When contacting support to fix the situation, you should not expect a response.
Registration by phone is not any better. The attempt may be successful or not. The number of attempts per day is limited to three. If it does not work, the next opportunity will only be available in 24 hours. I managed to register only on the third day. Verification is a process clearly designed to completely exhaust you. Here you really need patience. Even if screenshots of documents and your face are done correctly, the service may refuse them because it could not read the data. After several such attempts, you will be asked to try again in 24 hours.
After confirming registration and verification, when trying to log in from a computer under your account, you may be suspected of a suspicious login from another device. You will only be able to access your account after confirming a selfie. Do not even try to do this from a computer. From a mobile device it takes a lot of time. And this is simply a terrible process.
During use, without any known reason, you may again be suspected of suspicious activity, and as a result you will be required to confirm your identity again, or your account may be partially blocked and you will be permanently blocked. As a result, my first account was completely blocked without any possibility of recovery. My second account is partially blocked. When submitting an appeal and after long communication with bots, I still cannot get any response.
I absolutely do not recommend this service. If you register and start using it, do not rush to purchase any subscriptions. Technical support is completely inactive or simply absent.

Shitty company out on your data

They force you to connect all kinds of platforms. Both business and personal. When I pressed 'connect none' the pop up just kept appearing again and again

Be careful with their 'free trials' - it's a scam

Be careful with their 'free trials'. I signed up for Premium after they offered me a free trial. Once I had signed up, I went back and immediately cancelled so that I wouldn't be charged.

However, 4 months later, I can see my subscription is still active and I have been charged for every month. I have also been charged in AUD which makes no sense as I have from the UK and have not been in Australia. There has either been a technical glitch or they make some weird/difficult flow for cancelling which meant it never went through.

I have been travelling in South America for the past 3 months, so only just noticed this. I contacted support to explain the situation and they offered ZERO help.

Don't bother with this scamming company.

Account Restricted Without Explanation

I created my LinkedIn account last week to connect with other creatives, share my work, and engage with the design community.

I used the platform as usual, connecting with people, posting relevant design content, and didn't use any automation tools or spam tactics at all.

As my work started gaining visibility and more people began connecting with me, my account was suddenly restricted without any clear explanation.

I was asked to verify my identity by submitting facial data and a government ID, which I complied with. However, the outcome stated that I still did not meet their rules and regulations, and the restriction remains in place, again, without any specific reason provided.

Since then, I’ve attempted to contact support through multiple channels, including email, X (Twitter), and official forms. Unfortunately, I have received no response, no ticket confirmation, and no way to follow up, especially since I cannot log back into my account.

To make matters worse, I had already subscribed to LinkedIn Premium, which I now cannot access or cancel due to the account restriction.

After searching online, I found that many others have experienced the exact same issue. It’s honestly concerning that a platform of this scale operates with such a lack of transparency and support. At this point, the experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing.

Platform bug throttled my business launch post, support refused to help

A UI bug on LinkedIn's desktop platform caused my business launch post to display incorrectly, forcing me to make multiple edits to fix something that was LinkedIn's own rendering issue. These edits, which would not have been necessary had the platform functioned properly, resulted in the post's algorithmic distribution being severely throttled. For context, this was the inaugural public announcement of my consultancy after seven years of building the business.

When I contacted LinkedIn support, I was initially routed to what was presented as a human representative but was clearly a bot giving canned responses. After pushing, I eventually reached an actual person, but they made no effort to investigate or resolve the issue, despite LinkedIn having the tools to adjust post distribution or offer any form of remedy. The support case was closed without meaningful engagement with my complaint.

A platform of this scale, owned by Microsoft, should be able to acknowledge when its own bugs cause harm to users and take reasonable steps to make it right. Instead, the experience felt dismissive from start to finish.

I would caution any business relying on LinkedIn for important announcements to preview thoroughly across all devices, because if something goes wrong on their end, they will not help you.

I am a LinkedIn Premium subscriber and…

I am a LinkedIn Premium subscriber and have been locked out of my account for over 10 days with absolutely no resolution. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience that I would not wish on anyone, especially someone who is actively job searching and relies on LinkedIn daily.
The first time my account was restricted, LinkedIn requested government-issued photo ID verification through their Persona system. I complied immediately, completed the full verification process, and was restored access. Within a very short period my account was restricted again for no apparent reason despite having already verified my identity.
Since being locked out the second time I have exhausted every possible avenue to get help including submitting multiple support tickets, filling out every form provided by LinkedIn support, sending direct messages to @LinkedInHelp on X, posting publicly on X, and having a family member reach out on my behalf. LinkedIn has either not responded at all or directed me to forms and help articles that lead nowhere.
To make matters worse the Persona verification system now tells me I have already submitted a request and cannot try again, leaving me completely stuck with no path forward.
As a Premium subscriber I am paying for a service I cannot access. LinkedIn’s customer support is virtually nonexistent and their automated systems create impossible loops that prevent legitimate users from regaining access to their own accounts. This is completely unacceptable.

Today is April 6

Today is April 6. It has been two weeks with zero access to the account. The lazy support tech closed my case too prematurely. I told lazy tech I could not update my password.

I requested to mail a verification code. It never showed up. Looked in SPAM folder too.

I was told I would get a link. Said link showed up 48 hours. Expired in 24 hours. Such BS.

Did the whole Persona thing. Are they selling my data on the Deep Dark Web?

Tried to open a new case. Guess what? You need to log in with your username and password. The damn password doesn't work!

Worst online experience ever.

USELESS job recruiting site

USELESS job recruiting site.

LinkedIn contains more SCAMS than actual job recruiters & functions more like a typical Social Media Site no difference to Instagram & Facebook.

Like a typical Social Media Site of Instagram & Facebook, LinkedIn can also be ADDICTIVE & harmful to your mental health.

But the worst part of all, LinkedIn promises a social connection with your future career stuff. However, based on my experiences, I encountered scam after scam, where some scammer pretends they are a job recruiter but turns out they are phishing out personal information from you.

I ended up getting a job NOT with the help of LinkedIn, but with the Old Fashion Way, where I contacted my school's career counselor & he helped me enrolled in those Job Fairs & Job Conferences, of which at the Job Fairs, I eventually ended up getting a job WITHOUT LinkedIn. Some at the Job Fairs did suggested LinkedIn, but I still stick with my Old Fashion techniques & eventually landed a job.

Overall, LinkedIn does NOT work for me, only another typical Social Media Site with potential in scams & nothing more.

I have had Linkedln for a long time and…

I have had Linkedln for a long time and I don’t see the point to having it besides seeing other coworkers and getting connected . I had premium for a month or two and had to block them because they kept charging me $30.00 a month for a subscription that didn’t do anything . Once I blocked them they had another way of charging my card again . I was so frustrated . First , way to much to charge for premium that doesn’t do anything and to charges my card with another system when they were blocked . Nerve using again , not worth it and make sure to cancel your prescription , even if you block them they will still try to charge you . Unbelievable
