watching a lesson on a PC is fine but…

watching a lesson on a PC is fine but Lick library lessons are very comprehensive and teach what all guitars on a track are doing.
The lessons appear to be expensive compared to the free tuition available on the web.
Looking at the time and effort and professional quality of Lick Library, I think they are priced correctly, especially if you wait until offers are on.
If I was to improve them I would include a gear and set up guide.
Maybe they could also extend to keyboards or possibly a sister company.
Also I would like the range of genres to increase for the younger players who want to learn.

Licklibary DVD's

I have been buying licklibary DVD's for many years and have found them one of the best learning guitar aids on the market. The songs are transpossed very accurately to the original recordings and are taught extremely well, they are great value for money.

Best Guitar Instruction in the planet!!

Without question, the BEST guitar instructors and instructional dvds on the planet! There is no better way to learn and expand your musical vocabulary than by learning ACTUAL SONGS that you can actually use in real life situations! This really helps with developing your own songwriting and style as well. I really miss Michael Casswell (RIP), he was the greatest instructor and is sorely missed, but he left a great legacy and I fortunately own a number of the DVDs he produced. Andy James and Danny Gill are iron clad and excellent instructors as well! I’m pleading with Lick Library that they put out a Jake E. Lee, Queensrÿche, and more Yngwie Malmsteen DVDs soon. 🙏. Lick Library is the best hands down.

Your first step of becoming a real guitarist.

Nothing beats note for note video lessons from the seasoned pro instructors. Great instructors make a lot of a difference because they know how to break down the long solos into a few easy to learn section by section. Stop wasting your time searching for accurate free tabs online. Spend a little bit but you will improve a lot. Many of our favourite bands’ lessons to choose from.

I have got a couple of DVDs and these are brilliant, step by step guides to one of the all time great rock albums - Physical Graffiti, and the best of Free.
I would love to see more Free songs and a guide to Presence and In Through the Outdoor by Zep. Would definitely be buying those.
I also have a couple of theory DVDs which are also brilliant.

I had my first guitar for my 10th…

I had my first guitar for my 10th birthday, took classical guitar lessons when I was 23, picked up classical lessons again when I was 42 and found Lick Library when I was in my 50's. Lick Library has taught me Hendrix (most importantly), thank you Danny Gill (my son is named after Jimi Hendrix), the Blues, Modes and much more. There are outstanding tutors available at Lick Library. I was missing Lick Library from the age of 10 to 50. Whilst I could always entertain myself with the guitar, if you had been around in my pre to early teens, I would now be on tour with Joe Satriani (who is my age!! and was also inspired by Hendrix!!).
This review is dedicated to Michael Casswell.

Great video instruction!

Great video instruction! I’ve been buying videos from Lick Library for years now and have never been disappointed. I think learning songs the way the artists play them increases your guitar knowledge more than just jamming to them. Great company, great products!
