I paid £4.99 next day delivery on a £12 lead. Ordered sat and will be delivered today. Thurs lunchtime. Why? Because they won’t leave it in my parcel bin due to it needing to be signed for. Yes fair enough on an expensive bit of equipment but a £12 hdmi lead??? Had to redeliver on a day off and make sure someone is in. Not good.

Reply from London Camera Exchange - Derby
Dear Paul,
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.
Please accept our apologies — this order unfortunately slipped through the net. Our default courier service does require a signature, and this should have been flagged for manual handling and shipped in a padded wallet. We’re sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and please be assured we’re reviewing the process to prevent this from happening again.
Kind regards,
Your LCE Team

Great service
Having ordered a piece of used equipment, the branch had difficulty locating it. Communication was very prompt and very apologetic and a refund was immediately issued. However, when the same item was subsequently located a short time after, I was contacted and asked if I'd still be interested in it, with the sale price held. The item was packaged and sent the same day, arriving with me the following day.
Customer service metrics should include how things are managed when they go wrong and I can't fault this branch who took ownership and responsibility and instead of hiding behind a problem, maintained dialogue that resulted in a very satisfied customer. Great job.
