We were referred to JS Law through our estate agents. Chloe was our contact through the sale of our house and the purchase of our new home. She called to introduce herself and replied to our queries in a timely manner. She was very professional on all of our calls and was extremely helpful in dealing with a very late exchange and completion of contracts caused by others in our chain. JS Law were fantastic, I've never experienced such speed and efficiency with an organisation, especially a law firm. We dealt mostly with Bryony Gunn who was especially brilliant, instantly responsive in her email and telephone communications throughout the entire conveyancing process. If only our buyers solicitor had possessed the same quality, I'm sure we would have broken the all time record for completing on the sale of a property. Today (17th July) we exchanged contracts, and as first-time buyers we didn't really know what to expect. We began our house-buying journey in the middle of March, and throughout the process Irfaan Hafejee at JS Law was our main point of contact.

I had plenty of conversations with Irfaan via email, and he was always helpful and responsive. We were also provided with an online portal containing all the relevant information and documents we needed, which I found extremely useful and made it easy to keep track of the progress.

Unfortunately I’ve had to take to writing here as I’m not getting responses to my emails or calls regarding our purchase and sale. We’ve had issues outstanding for over a month and keep being advised it’s resolved to then find out it’s not actually been actioned. Communication is so bad and we made it well known to our estate agent and solicitor that this needed to be completed by mid July due to work and potential of surgery however we’re obviously still waiting and at risk of one of us being out of action when this actually completes. I’ve had to take to gaining updates from our buyers as they’re family members. It started so well too however from the moment enquiries started and delays happened and queries ignored we’ve lost total trust in the responses we’re receiving advising things have been actioned. Considering how expensive conveyancing is we are paying to essentially chase stuff and get information from external parties ourselves

I would never use this company again and will certainly not recommend them. They made many mistakes which they admitted to, these mistakes caused many problems, a great deal of stress and frustration throughout the chain.

Extremely slow. Theyve had all information for 3 months but keep relentlessly coming back with more & more & more queries. Could have asked them in April, but waited until July. Nearly 4 months so far.
Absolute shambles.

I was kept informed throughout, problems were dealt with quickly in a friendly professional manner. Conveyancing can be a stressful and frustrating experience but Louie always remained calm whilst taking my concerns serioulsy.

I've been using JS Law to procced with my property purchase and is been a pleasure to choose them, as all the process was explained in detail to understand (being my first property, I was a bit lost) and quick enough from starting the process to get the keys in my hand (less than 3 months)

Buying a house is one of the most stressful things that you could ever do, Irfaan eased a lot of that stress and made our home buying process smooth and simple. He constantly kept us updated, his communication was great and he always had the time to listen to us and answer our questions. Throughout he process, Irfaan always explained to us what was happening and what we could expect so we was never out of the loop and any bumps in the road were dealt with swiftly. Overall a good company to deal with. Some aspects were a bit daunting but this was not a straightforward sale. Things were held up because this was an lpa sale so a lot of verification of documents needed.

Unfortunately our conveyancer changed in the middle of the process, and there were things that should have been completed before the handover that weren't. This led to some very frustrating catching up to ensure we could exchange and complete in a timely fashion.

I am currently buying a property and it has dragged on and on and on - I put the offer in back in Feb - the property is empty and I have no chain as I sold mine in March and moved out. They have been overly fastidious it seems with details that are not important and as a result I feel so distraught by the process I am considering pulling out - i have sent multiple emails asking them to drop certain enquiries as they are quite frankly petty (this has been checked over by the agents and a lawyer friend) - and certainly NOT a risk to me or the bank.
I do believe I can legally request some points to be dropped if they are not a serious risk to anyone but these emails have so far been ignored. So they may well loose the money from this case as I can't cope any more and might simply withdraw from the whole circus and rent for a year.
Do not use this firm if you are looking to have a smooth journey and move into your new home in less than half a year. The process is not fit for purpose.
