I took delivery of our fourth Skoda 9 months ago, fully expecting it to be as trouble free as the previous models. We have, however, been equally disappointed in the car, a Kodiaq TDI SEL 4x4, and the dealer. None of the many issues with the car have been resolved. The salesman was well aware of the need for a towbar and sent me to local supplier, Alba. At no time was I made aware of the problems that would cause. There was no mention that the addition of what is an inert piece of steel would require "coding", that VAG Group do no facilitate this, and without it, the car refuses to reverse with a trailer attached! The dealers early response was that this coding would become available, but 9months on, there has been no progress. Basically the car is unsuitable for purpose.
I would also warn anyone considering the Skoda Kodiaq that the so called "driver assistance" is anything but. Our car has on several occasions, refused to move, into and out of tight parking spaces. Constant pulling and twitching of steering on country roads which have no white lines, random severe braking for no good reason (risking being rear-ended), random braking and acceleration when using cruise control. The auto wipers appear to be totally random and wiper operation is awkward. Also irritating is the rear view camera dominating the screen till the car reached 10mph forward, so that SatVav and radio are not available when exiting a car park or narrow drive. Clearly buying the same model of car again, assuming it would be the same or an improvement, or that the dealer would sort out the problems was my mistake. A very expensive mistake!
Always a pleasure to attend at Newbridge. From arriving at the dealership and ɓeìn̈g mèt by Karen and the team, who greet you and ensure you are handed over to the correct department and staff member who will be looking after you, to Morgan in the service department who also ensures she goes the extra mile to provide a great customer service.
Sadly not the experience I was hoping for! Communication before sale was great however felt I had to do the chasing regarding anything to do with my car after sale. While picking up my car I was asked to do a review wich I was later told my review was not good enough and if I changed it my fuel tank would be filled up( all this sitting in my car not in the show room) when I said I couldn’t change as didn’t know how to get back in, that wasn’t a problem as the salesman said he could do it. Feeling under pressure and uncomfortable this happened and no more mention of fuel! When salesman got out my car I noticed the seats were dirty so said and my car then had to be booked in to get cleaned! So few days later I walked to work, when I went to pick up car I was told it was again sent back as only front seats had been cleaned. No handbook was with the car and I was told one would be ordered but I still have no handbook. I noticed a chip on the window ( was small I originally thought it was a dirty mark) so brought it to salesman attention and said he would get this booked in and be in touch again a week later still no word until I messaged sales manager, then salesman phoned asking if I had been! No date or where to go had been given to me so this was impossible. I did then take my car to get window screen fixed, still awaiting handbook and feeling like the joy of buying a new car has well and truly been taken away as this has been one of my worst experiences buying a car!
Really good customer service, Steven who looked after me found me the car I really wanted. Test driving a car was so straightforward. My car got in to the garage with a faulty rear view mirror so he really wanted it sorted properly and gave me a car for 4 days until my car was ready. All in all great service
We were treated well from the moment we arrived. The pick up went smoothly and quickly.
I had purchased a 2022 Volvo V60 Diesel form John Clark Volvo. I had travelled a far way to collect the vehicle from the east midlands. When I landed at Edinburgh Airport I was informed there was damage to the back of my vehicle. And they gave a set amount to repair it. However, the amount that they allocated to repair it isn't enough to repair it. They are very slow in terms of replying. Vehicle has scratches on the windscreen which is visible also. Would not purchase another vehicle from John Clark Volvo.
I bought a renault captur April 2025 and the service I have had is terrible.
First the car had a terrible smell which has taken a year to get rid off.
It went in for a service this month and the wrong size of tyres were quoted incorrectly on the health check. The health check also said that my inflation kit expired considering I bought the car April 2025 and it expired 01/25 I will forgive them for that one as they replaced it.
I was told I was getting new mats never received them.
They received my cash and the after sales was not to be seen. Very disappointing.
All round first class experience in getting my new car from Aberdeen Audi.
Big thanks to Gordon Rough and his colleagues for ensuring a smooth and seamless transaction and helping me as much as they could in getting a deal I was happy with.
Great team and great service.
Great experience it’s the first time I have bought a car from John clark.
Colin the manager and Julie the sales ensured I had a great experience and discussed the electric vehicle which I purchased.
Would recommend anyone looking for a car to go to the mini branch in Dundee.

Overall my experience at John Clark Skoda Perth was very good. David Murrell the sales executive who we dealt with buying the car was extremely helpful. He kept me updated by phone during the whole process.
I would highly recommend John Clark Skoda Perth.5* for David and John Clark Skoda Perth.
I had a fantastic experience working with Brett Williamson while buying my first Audi. From start to finish, Brett was honest, professional, and incredibly helpful. He took the time to answer all my questions, made the whole process smooth and stress-free, and never pressured me at any point. His transparency and genuine approach really stood out, and I felt confident in my decision thanks to his guidance. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to help me with such an important purchase. Highly recommend!
Dan was knowledgeable, efficient and gave a smooth handover, car was presented clean and fueled. Any questions I had were answered in a constructive manner. Would highly recommend.
The salesman was so helpful
Steve Morrison was very attentive and explained everything fully
Calvin and Ciaren were fantastic throughout the sale process. Professional, engaging and lots of communication. It’s also abundantly clear that the Aberdeen branch is working well as a team as every interaction across the team was excellent, friendly and professional.
This was my first time purchasing a car, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Jack was incredibly helpful, patient, informative, and understanding; especially when I needed to make a few changes to my finance plan. He made the entire process smooth and stress-free.
The service I received was excellent and completely transparent from start to finish. I truly appreciate the professionalism and support. I’m absolutely loving my new car, it’s amazing!
Thank you again, John Clark, Aberdeen - Nissan, and a special thanks to Jack Ed. for making this such a positive first car-buying experience.
I recently purchased a BMW 435d from BMW Aberdeen and had a genuinely excellent experience from start to finish.
The car itself was presented in immaculate condition, clean, spotless, and exactly as described. It’s clear they take pride in the quality of the vehicles they sell.
A special mention goes to Arturs, who was fantastic throughout the whole process. He was professional, helpful, and made everything straightforward. What really stood out was that he continued to look after me even after the sale was completed, which isn’t something you always get.
I had travelled all the way from Cambridge, and the team went the extra mile by arranging to pick me up from my hotel, which made the whole experience much smoother and stress free.
Overall, this was one of the best experiences I’ve had with a BMW dealership, definitely a cut above others I’ve dealt with. I’d highly recommend BMW Aberdeen to anyone looking for great service and a quality car.
Three weeks to get a car ready for wife. We asked on several occasions is the gearbox and transmission oil been done was told it was and after collecting it and contacting a mini service centre we find out it's not so having to get that done next week the car was not even serviced before we go it, if it was it aint documented, what took them three weeks. Spend yesterday polishing the car and using tar remover to get tar of the bottom of the car. On handover was handed keys explained we had one before but gearbox went in it hence use been very cautious about ensuring things were done right. They also added things on which until the final day of collecting we never got an itemisation of price until wife spoke to manager and if I new price at the start would never of taken them. The fact we told garage at very start we needed car asap and the took near on 3 weeks is reason for zero stars and no servicing was done
