In my experience with JMW Solicitors I genuinely believe they are con artists that act dishonestly and fraudulently towards their clients.

They quoted me £600 to resolve a legal issue, but then billed almost £50,000.

They could not explain in the slightest why the bill reached such a high amount, they couldn’t even provide an accurate breakdown of costs. When they did provide a partial cost breakdown, some of the work they billed for was never even carried out, they just hoped I never noticed and would still pay.

If you use JMW Solicitors like I did then I guarantee you’re going to get scammed also just like I did.

I approached JMW regarding a serious data negligence case involving a minor and a written admission of liability from an NHS Trust. Instead of a professional legal review, I was directed to a 'Client Services' team who treated a child’s safety like a commercial transaction.
​Their first response was to ask for thousands of pounds upfront for a 'Media Litigation' team, despite this being a standard data breach matter that most ethical firms handle on a CFA (No-Win, No-Fee). They showed zero interest in the evidence of negligence provided and were only interested in the depth of my pockets. If you are a parent looking for justice rather than a bill, look elsewhere

Great service and excellent communication throughout. We had contacted several solicitors to help set up a trust but struggled to get any responses. The team at JMW were a breath of fresh air. Cara was incredibly knowledgeable and handled everything efficiently, making the whole process straightforward. I would highly recommend JMW.

I provided JMW Solicitors with sensitive personal medical records as part of my engagement with them. When I subsequently requested erasure of that data under UK GDPR, my request was refused. The response cited a legal exemption but gave no meaningful explanation of why retaining my specific medical information remained necessary given that my file had been closed. I found the communication dismissive and lacking in transparency. I am now pursuing a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office. I would urge anyone considering sending sensitive personal data to this firm to understand their rights under UK GDPR first and to ask detailed questions about data retention before providing any medical records.
