This is the craziest experience I’ve had with an online return for any company. I ordered a sweater and received a random pair of pants. Now I have to go through the process to return something I did not order wait for my money to come back to then re order what I wanted? Well now it won’t even come on time.
I received the wrong size from another store called quince. They promptly shipped the correct item to me with expedited shipping and told me to donate or gift the larger sized item. THAT IS HOW CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOULD GO. Especially at the prices Jcrew charges!! I won’t be ordering from here ever again.
My order was never delivered
My order was never delivered. I requested a refund and only after two weeks I did receive on the same day two emails one informing me that the package was finally being delivered ( which wasn’t ) and second that the refund was in process as the order had returned to the company . The conversations with the care service were delirious, and while I was trying to get information about the missing package, I was suggested that I make a second purchase identical to the first in order to take advantage of the product discount
All very unpleasant and finally I gave up and will never buy from this company again
Just love J. Crew
Generally love the quality of J. Crew's items. Occasionally an older version was a better quality but overall, very happy. The sizing is good, too, true to size. I really appreciate the ease of online ordering and having items delivered to a store. I live abroad, so that's the easiest option for me. I also love the ease of either returning or exchanging items bought online, just drop into the nearest store. Never have had a problem. And I love that they ship to Europe :)
Update: 2/1. J. Crew has finally refunded my order. I also received an e-cerftificate, due to my wait.
I sent an item for return that was received by them (per UPS tracking) on 12/5/23 and I still have not received my refund. I have emailed multiple times and each time it's a different version saying that they are "working" on the return and I will receive an email when it's processed. There is no proactive communication from them regarding the situation. I have asked for a check to be sent to me instead of a credit to my original form of payment, but they seemed to have ignored that request.

My experience with J. Crew has been mixed.
Returns: The Riverhead, New York location makes it incredibly difficult to return items for the original purchase price even with the original credit card company receipt.
Their reasoning is “we can’t find it in our System” and will offer the sale of the day refund ( about 1/2 the original cost). So be sure to save your original register receipt. Aggravating! Who needs to play these games?

Even with a sale J. Crew in my opinion is overpriced.
Fortunately there are a lot of retailers selling the same type and class of products as J. Crew with a much more liberal return policy.

After having a disastrous order with Hobbs, I had to spend $180 to ship back all items. I also went online to JCrew and ordered 2 sweaters and a Chocolate Umber Herringbone blazer. First, let me say its like night and day. The service at JCrew was 100 times better. I should have stuck with them in the first place. They have been my favorite since high school. The blazer from JCrew came with a hanger in a plastic garment bag to store the garment until I get a permanent garment bag. This blazer is made of 100% British Wool from Moon for less than what Hobbs charges. The weight of the fabric was considerably more robust and it came with a pocket on the inside. This is effortless luxury that is affordable and great quality at its best. I expected to get my orders in January but they rushed everything in time for Christmas. I am so happy with my order. Moving forward, I’ll get most of my suits from JCrew.
Customer "service" is a dumpster fire
Ordered a hoodie and received a bikini top. Upon contacting them, their response was to hand me a two-hour errand three days before Christmas (pack up their stuff and drive it to UPS, then drive to the mall to find a different Christmas present). They also wanted to charge me again in order to ship the hoodie I'd actually ordered, which is so ludicrous it's actually hilarious. J.Crew has turned into a raging dumpster fire, which is super unfortunate because I've been a loyal customer for over a decade. Never again.
“Pricing discrepancies”, order canceled
I placed a large order and received a confirmation. Later in the day, I checked the order status on the website and it said the order was canceled! I called. The customer service agent priced the items at about six times higher than was confirmed, then read me a statement that said that because of “pricing discrepancies” they canceled the order. When I found the items are still available on their website, I was told they wouldn’t honor the price they committed to in the order. They didn’t notify me until I called them.
Positive experience
I received my package promptly and got some regular updates on where my parcel was.
The only issue is that my parcel came opened, I believe the tape wasn’t strong enough. Somehow nothing was missing so I guess I got lucky.

I am furious with J.Crew Return process.
A few months ago an order took 10 days to get to me and then I was only allowed a short time to return.
For a different return, most recently I returned two sweaters but I have only been credited with one!!!! So $179 is not getting returned ugh! When I called customer service they just answer blankly and are totally unhelpful.

I forgot to add something to my order and contacted J Crew within 15 minutes of placing the order to request the addition. I was told it was already being processed and could not be altered and neither could it be canceled. Within 15 minutes! Wow that's efficiency that's so good its actually a problem. The weblink says "Cancel/Change." What is the point of this link if neither is possible? They used to have such good customer service. After 40 years as a consistent shopper it may be time to retire this relationship. Customer service used to be their best selling point.
Frustrating!
I am beyond frustrated with J Crew and J Crew Factory. They both persist in returning items to my shopping cart, even though I've removed them myself. Next time I check, sure enough the deleted item is right back in my cart. If I click on 'Remove', chances are that the unwanted item will be put into the 'Save for Later' box - even though I didn't select that option. Consequently I have to watch my shopping cart like a hawk every time I go to order something, just in case an item I've removed has been slipped back into the cart by J Crew.
Horrible customer service
Sent merchandise to wrong address, not the first time. They lost a lifetime customer over $16. Poor customer service decision considering the hundreds of dollars I spend with them per year. I will never purchase from jcrew again.

Landfill Cashmere
Ordered a cashmere sweater last winter that pilled ALL OVER on the first wear. I once wore the crew neck cashmere all the time--had every color--but this is a garbage product. I took it to the Salvation Army but the thing was so cheaply made-who would want it. Fashion at its worse--filling up the landfills, wasting resources, ugh.

I had an order that was sent back because my unit # was missing. If it was a mistake on my part, it was an honest one. Although, the order before this one and the one after both had my unit # so i know i am being attentive to the info they need. Even then, their customer service could have easily informed EShopWorld of my missing information given that it is "on file". But, no. The order was cancelled and refund given. I find it interesting for a company that recently went through a bankruptcy protection process in 2020 would they not have made the effort to help a customer out. Clearly, they can turn away business which is odd given the economic climate we live in. I wrote them an email to that effect and no response from them. I also take issue with orders (this happened to me more than once) that appear on their website but was cancelled as it wasn't available for their "international" customers. I asked them why post the new "arrivals" online if they cannot be purchased. It makes no sense.
Delivery is too slow
Delivery is too slow, way too slow! Of all of the online retailers that I order clothing from, Jcrew is always the slowest! Even ordering from retailers out of the country, the deliveries are faster than Jcrew!
DON’T TRUST J.CREW
Bought a ton of summer stuff at the start of a sale. Really psyched at my selections. Received UPS updates that my package would arrive by a certain date. The date came and went and then UPS provided zero information. I called J.Crew. They said my order needed to CXL’d and I would get a refund. No replacing my purchased items. Just “Have a nice day! Thanks for shopping at J. Crew!!!”. NEVER AGAIN. Second rate store w third rate customer service which doesn’t stand by its shipping “partner” and DOES NOT stand by its customers. Don’t trust you will get what you ordered—which they charge you for WHEN SHIPPED but they RETURN your $$$ in 5-10 BUSINESS DAYS when an order is CXL’D. AVOID at all costs.
