Jack Wolfskin Texpore failure…
I bought a pair of Jack Wolfskin boots with their Texpore technology which is reputed to be waterproof and breathable, but I can assure anyone considering purchasing a product with Texpore in order to keep dry, this really isn't the case. After just 20 minutes of walking in a downpour, both my socks and feet were totally drenched!
I will avoid any further Jack Wolfskin products claiming any such waterproof and breathability claims, especially at their price point.

I'm writing this as a long-time customer of Jack Wolfskin. I've always trusted the brand's reputation for durability and quality. Unfortunately, my rain jacket, which I have used for just a few years, has failed and is no longer waterproof.
After reaching out to Jack Wolfskin's customer service, I was offered a €10 voucher as a "gesture of goodwill." While I appreciate the effort, this offer is disappointing and does not reflect the brand's quality or my loyalty. The issue isn't the warranty, but the fact that a product meant to last has failed so quickly.
I'm sharing this to inform others about my experience with both the product and the customer service, and to highlight that a brand's reputation should be backed by its actions.

I bought an expensive 30L backpack and after just 1 use, the chest strap broke. I've emailed their customer service team to get it repaired as I'm now living overseas and they said to contact the store directly. The store has ignored my email and it's been over 2 weeks. Will never recommend any of their poor quality products or scummy customer service to anyone. What a waste of money!
Absolutely awful online
Absolutely awful online company, customer service are rude and absolutely no help when something goes wrong with your order due to their inadequacy. Took over a month of fighting to get a refund for two jackets bought for a christmas present that never arrived and was told by several customer support members that it wasn’t their problem my order hadn’t been fulfilled.

Bad customer service
Ordered an item for home delivery and it has been sent to an outlet store and I paid for home delivery, contacted via email and asked for refund as cannot get there hence paying for home delivery and they are saying I need to contact store and ask them to post to me, how ridiculous.

Difficulty obtaining refund for unfulfilled order
I placed an order for trousers several weeks ago and received a tracking link for parceelforce. Parcelforce have not received order. I contacted Jack WOLFSKIN by email. Initially I received an unhelpful automated response. I tried again and they stated the parcel was lost in transit and they wouldn’t process my refund until I downloaded and completed a pdf form which was non-sensical and didn’t apply in my situation. The issue has still not been resolved. I will avoid this company in future.

A few issues but worth waiting for
I purchased 3 items in 2 different orders but for a variety of reasons have returned all three. One order had no return paperwork included but I called JW who were very helpful & sent what I needed on email within minutes. Two items were refunded very quickly, the other is taking some time. I queried this with JW who responded within minutes. I see a lot of negative feedback here particularly about delivery times but to be fair these delivery times are plastered all over the website. I love Jack Wolfskin gear and have purchased many items from different sources over the years and I think its worth waiting for.

There is no way to communicate with them. I placed my order through jack-wolfskin.es and after that I got the confirmation email and DHL tracking number, all good.
However, the status of the shipment still hasn't changed for two weeks now, and apparently it's still in the warehouse in Germany since 01/24/2024. I have tried contacting Jack Wolfskin via the contact form twice, still no response. I have called them 35 times but no one answers, the number communicates all the time.
I understand that the shipment may take a little longer than expected, but I am annoyed by this lack of response and information, and even more so considering the money invested in the product. I would like someone to inform me about the real status of this order, in case I have to seriously consider legal action.

I don't understand the comments here. I ordered 2 hiking jackets and took one of them with me. It rained all day and nothing got wet. It's not clear to me why there are so many negatives and if I'm just lucky because just 20 minutes ago I called customer service who within 10 seconds of waiting called a gentleman who was friendly enough that I could talk till tomorrow with him hahah :D As I wrote, I'm probably lucky, but with me, they deserve all the positivity they have toward customers
5 different sets of clothing for Christmas & I feel very let down. I wanted to make JWS the make and still might if durable & waterproof wear is out there, getting a pair JWS boots is still a maybe
I bought black all weather fleeced trousers.. there are brilliant a best buy. 5 star breathable and warm. Water proof comfy and a belt clip to dust size.
I bought a green down feathered hooded Coat that I am very disappointed in, as it looks like it’s water proof but soaks right through.
I bought a grey fleeced which I’ve mixed reviews on. Great for late summer campin. don’t get close to the fire winter log fire because even from a safe distance because the next day you will see that all the sparks singed/scorced all over it. this also to the coat I mentioned in the latter . I even bough black jogging that look cool and a matching T-Shirt. Suffice to say the jogging bottoms are freezing. Nothing wolf skinned about the bottoms and they are very wide fitting I did like the cuff at the bottom of the Joggers.
The T-Shirt I can’t complain too much and it’s thick enough material for a T-Short I suppose.
Well you can imagine the amount of money I spent. So disappointed in 3 items of 5. And didn’t even want to return the fleece or jacket, because the tiniest sparks scorched through them. People probably think a lot smoker or something. Because they are the only people I’ve seen with these “ hot Rock burns”

As for foot we’re. Well it put me off buying them. I bought Timberland all weather hiking & timber wear boots.
It’s like JWS has left its first love just for trend, and timberland going back to their old roots with there out door wear.
Please make what you are good at making JWS. Dont just change for the sake of making an extra penny because in the long run people will go else where for more decent material.
Like I spent a lot of money on a not a big name brand, having faith in JWS believing this was my type of clothing & it still could be. Maybe the company will honour my loyalty in their Brand. For believing the items done a Ronseal “exactly what it says on the tin. But 3 out of 5 items fell short.
I hope they will respond if they ever see this. I feel like abit of an idiot tbh.

I was somewhat concerned after placing my order and having only afterwards read the reviews here. Given a hard stop date by which I needed to receive the order, I followed up via customer service message. I have still not received an answer but the order was sent out within the set dispatch deadline and received by the date needed. Having some customer service response would have been reassuring for my nerves, but as the desired result was achieved, I’d still count this as a win.

Purchased the Winterlarger M ‘waterproof’? coat from Jack Wolfskin online. This is not what I would call a waterproof coat. I would expect a waterproof coat to protect me and anything I maybe carrying in the pockets etc from getting wet. After walking in a steady downpour for 15 minutes the items in all pockets were soaking wet, partly due to the design of the pockets. Lining of the hood was also wet. Waterproof up to 10000mm is mentioned but who knows what this means. When you buy a ‘waterproof ‘coat that’s exactly what you would expect. I notice they didn’t fair too well in the ‘Which” report, let alone on here. Look elsewhere, apparently Musto make a good one.
Shocking Customer Service
Tried to change a delivery address before my order shipped, only to be told that this is not possible. In this day & age of the internet & online ordering this is absolutely shocking. The Customer Service I received when I called teir helpline was horrendous.
