From the moment my wife and i met them in London to going to Greece and doing IVF they was always helpful day and night.
Sofia and Penny are brilliant.
I do not write many reviews but they helped us from the start and still do even now when we have a 2 year old, they ask how he is doing and how we are doing like a extended family.
I owe Sofia and Penny so much (Do not mean money) for helping me and my wife accomplishing our dream on having a child.

I wish I'd found Penny sooner, we were treated at two other clinics in the UK before going to Serum. We had several failed IUI and IVF cycles, at our first visit to Serum Penny found the problem my tubes were blocked two cycles later I was finally pregnant something I never thought was going to happen after so much failure. I will never be able to express the love I have for Serum IVF. I spent 7yrs having IVF in the UK with no success. I turned to Serum after 8 unsuccessful cycles and their caring and fresh approach helped me create my little girl. I would not be a Mummy without them. Eternally grateful and cannot recommend them highly enough! I get a lump in my throat every time I think of Serum. They wanted this to work just as much as I did. They totally understood all the love I had to give and the frustration and heartbreak I had already had on my journey to conceive.
Every step of the way I felt their support and love. They tailor made a protocol which was individual for me. So many clinics don’t do that. Many clinics just expect you to fit into a box. Serum IVF treat the person.
Please don’t be daunted by travelling abroad- it couldn't be easier and I also fell in love with the city of Athens. Forever in our hearts.

Serum are undoubtedly the best. Having endured a horrible infertility journey in the UK we ventured to Athens. Penny and her team were outstanding. We didn’t feel like a number or feel like they just saw the £ signs.

After failed attempts at ivf in England I researched a new clinic. I came accross serum and could not find one bad review. We took the risk and went!
Firstly penny and the treat treated us like family and they wanted to fulfill our dreams as much as we did.

After 6 failed IVF’s at 4 different clinics. Serum helped tweak and change the protocol to enable us to get the best quality embryos and managed to have 6 blastocyst on day 5 when all other clinics I failed to reach day 4.
Their constant care and compassion is such a beautiful experience, especially when you are on this constant rollercoaster of emotions.
You are not just a number at Serum, you are part of their family and I wish I had known about them from the beginning.

The kindest, most responsive clinic I’ve ever experienced. We were treated like human beings and friends from the very first consultation we had with Sofia and Giannis. They were honest and open with us, didn’t try to sell us unnecessary dubious tests and procedures, and positive and pragmatic about sending us home with a baby. I will always have fond memories of my visits to Serum in Athens and cannot thank the team enough for helping us to have our son, who has just turned two. I would, and have, recommend Serum to anyone looking for a kind and compassionate IVF clinic.

This is the best clinic in Europe if not the world. I have been dealing with Serum since January 2021 after dealing with consultants in the UK and their care, professionalism, responsiveness, knowledge and forward thinking is outstanding. This clinic truly cares about getting you pregnant. They tailor everything to suit you, so it’s not a one size fits all like other clinics. The new clinic is so beautiful and calming and just feels so welcoming. Honestly look no further Penny and the team are just amazing, they go above and beyond (earth angels) I wish I could give 100 stars.

I went to serum clinic after a neighbour recommended it to me and I am pleased I did.I just had my second baby and they are healthy & happy. She had had numerous failed IVF’S in the Uk & she was successful first time in serum. Peny & team are one big family and they treat you like a family.They can do anything to help you. Peny has a wealth of knowledge & experience and she is extremely meticulous. They are all competent in their individual fields from the cleaner to the director.They are very professional; effective communicators; friendly and helpful.
During the pandemic; I lost so much money due to the tests and travel confusion and Peny helped me to get the treatment despite not having enough money. You can contact Peny anytime and she takes time to listen to you and help you sort out your problem. I have whattsapped her when i desperately needed to speak to her and she had no problem with that. I recommend them highly.
I was amazed at how well known the clinic is all over the world. There were people from Africa and Indonesia etc; it’s excellent services speaks for itself.

NOTE SERUM RESPONSE IS UNFOUNDED AND DEMONSTRATES THEIR ATTEMPT AT INTIMIDATION

In November 2019 I invested my health and future in Serum. Subsequently, I have sought a second opinion based on my age and circumstances and identified that Serum recommended things that are not recommended for me or women of my age (44-45 years). In the year and a half of enlisting with Serum, my fertility has reduced by 75% and now there is very little probability of conceiving my own genetic child.

These are my concerns:
1) I was under the impression that I would be seen and consult with a qualified medical professional. There was no transparency or agreement that my main care provider (Penny Abatzi) holds a degree in Biochemistry and was not a qualified medical doctor or health care provider.
2) Ms. Abatzi performed my Clinical consultations, protocols, prescribing, transvaginal scans, unblocking a blocked fallopian tube with a catheter, and embryo transfers. I would not have agreed to these procedures if known that they were not being carried out by a qualified medical professional.
3) After persistence and demands I finally had a consultation with Dr. Lefteris Meridis in January 2021. Before this time I did not meet and discuss my case with anyone in Serum other than Penny Abatzi.
4) When I met Dr Lefteris Meridis he was not knowledgeable about my case. He was not aware:
a) I had a blocked fallopian tube which was unblocked using a catheter.
b) Ovulation was missed 3x missed under Serum care and IUI performed on 2 occasions and egg collection on 1 occasion when the dominant follicle had been released.
c) IUI was carried out on the side which had the dominant follicle on the blocked side
5) On 5 occasions (that I know) was prescribed medication to which I am intolerant. Including: Intralipids / 3x Antibiotics / Melatonin
6) On more than 3 occasions Penny Abatzi said that IUI was as effective and in many cases more effective than IVF. I did not receive nor can find any evidence to support this response for women over the age of 40.
7) Cetrotide was prescribed but I was not told to take it during 1 cycle. Ovulation was missed resulting in being treated with IUI for 3 cycles. When Penny Abatzi was questioned she told me that 'Cetrotide' damages eggs. I did not receive nor can find any evidence to support this response. Notably, I had Cetrocide previously prescribed and a dose available to me at home at the time.
😎 My prescriptions were signed off by the front desk using a photocopy of the doctor's signature. I have no evidence that any doctor had seen/verified the prescription. I have never consulted with Doctor Koutoulakis Giannis who is listed as prescribing my medication.
9) Prescribing errors - for example: Prescription collected in the UK had 5 trigger shots prescribed when I had signed up for 2 treatment cycles.
10) Medical records are incomplete - there is no record of a) Unblocking of fallopian tube by Penny Abatzi on 19th November 2019. b) Documented record of who completed transfers and egg retrieval.
11) A cyst was aspirated with no prior discussion or consultation. IVF was carried out with only one egg available for collection.

"As I have told you your egg was of perferct quality. The cyst aspiration has no impact on the egg quality.
The fact that your embryo developed perfectly to even a Blastocyst also proved that the quality of the egg was excellent.
However the chromosomes of the embryo were not correct so this embryo though it could give you a pregnancy it would never give you a baby home as nature would reject it at some point of development"
11a) Serum did not provide any evidence to support that 'cyst aspiration has no impact on the egg quality. The Second opinion sought stipulated that IVF is not recommended after a cyst aspiration and that there is a relationship between the presence of an ovarian cyst and poor outcome of in vitro fertilization
11b) The egg did not reach blastocyst stage
11c) Chromosomal tests were not conducted on the embryo therefore the 'correctness' of the chromosomes could not have been determined.
12) No follow up or suggestions provided after repeated implantation failure
I am really angry, and feel mislead and deceived by Serum and have wasted time, oppourtunity and money.
I require clear explanation and evidence supporting each of the above points.
I am allowing you to settle these questions privately before sharing my experience of your service procedures and rationale as supposed to raise my concerns publicly.

Penny and IVF Serum are a reassuring breath of fresh air in an industry that is sadly overly commercialised, frequently pushes expensive, unproven ‘add on’ treatments and generic data.

I was hoping for a sibling for my daughter, without a partner assisted fertility seemed like the answer. I worked with several London clinics and felt thoroughly dispirited.

IVF Serum was recommended to me by a friend who had previously had a long, and failed fertility journey but was successful with Penny at IVF Serum. IVF Serum saw her and her partner as individuals. They worked to identify the problem and then a way to resolve.

Penny makes an effort to meet people in person and is then available to speak to people throughout the process. A stark contrast to the London clinics, where the consultants disappear after the initial consultation.

IVF Serum is meticulous in its planning and approach, while maintaining their personal, honest and kind approach. When I visited the NHS for my antenatal appointments the midwife commented on how extensive and thorough the documentation was.

I was due to have my treatment early 2020 just when the covid pandemic was coming to light. Penny was in constant contact and advised me to come out to Greece earlier than planned. Her foresight and calm approach meant that my hopes to widen my family were successful even in an incredibly challenging year when many others sadly had to put their hopes on hold.

I whole heartedly recommend IVF Serum and their Director Penny Abatzi.

After trying 2 of the top IVF clinics in the UK, several unsuccessful rounds, at a friend’s recommendation I had a consultation with Penny and have never looked back. Serum gave me personalised protocols, listened wholeheartedly and I felt completely taken care of. Even with my being in the UK, correspondence was never an issue, they always respond to queries whilst before, during and after a cycle. After several failed attempts, they were able to prescribe a protocol that worked and gave me renewed hope and faith again. I cannot recommend Serum enough, and there are literally thousands across the world who would agree with me. Go ahead and research them, you have nothing to lose and so much to gain.

I had given up all hope until I met Penny and straightaway I knew she was going to help me get my baby. Penny and her team are so unique in that they are professional but have real compassion for their patients. Immediately you feel part of a family and you feel safe. I had been waiting a long time for children with multiple failed treatments it seemed hopeless but Penny never gave up even when I gave up myself. She went above and beyond. Penny and her team are cutting edge they are so advanced.
