I wanted something that could scan pages from my text book so traditional scanner wasn’t of use. Despite the marketing, my efforts to get a good readable copy without the curve of the spine included have been limited. Perhaps the handheld scanner would have been better.

Purchase was complicated because I didn't know the customs payment magnitude. Clearly UK is a secondary market.

Product is excellent, but less provided for Mac users. I hope the software will be updated.

Having a clearer source of the main instruction book would have been helpful.

Great quality, easy to use, I only needed a mouse but by chance found this one also scanning, a perfect product according to me.

Powered by the laptop USB and very compact scanner. Easy to setup and use and supplied with good OCR software.

The IriScan desk 6 pro is pricy, but I wanted a great solution for scanning physical books to word documents. This product works very well for this. The result is approximately more than 95% correct in my language, which is good.
The construction is robust in metal and the usb connection is also solid.

I am excited to have the ability to scan books that I cannot lay flat! It was easy to use and I found helpful tutorials on YouTube!

Works wonder well! Flexible to put up on your desk or elsewhere and although it coinsidentally is a gem of a lamp to read under as well, the lighting sometimes stays too bright in one spot of the scanned image.

The hardware and software are first class. I can not give 5 stars because one simple thing: how to turn the light on. I couldn't find any reference to the light in the instructions or on line. I was not looking for a physical switch but a software one. I finally took the scanner in my hand and studied it. I then found the switch. It is not obvious at all. The problem was solved.

The ease to connect the scanner to the computer and have it working

My experience is at beginning, but until now seams to be very good. The only doubt I had is if it is need to acquire a new software, or if at the instalation it came with the newest available. The question is due to the fact I received one week after the purchase an advertising annoucing a new software for PDF use with the Iris desk scanner 6?... Thanks Aloyzio

It would have been easier setting up if your company had tech support contact via phone. I really appreciate it when a company cares enough to have support staff to help with new installation and problems by phone. If I had not had Total Tech Support from Best Buy, I would have not been up and running.

I also had questions about the scanner before buying it and I had to call B&H photo to get answers to my questions.

I have typically found online chats for all companies that use this as a vehicle to communicate with both prospective and current users pretty useless.

Now I am starting use IRIScan
Very nice product, but not fully "easy to use".

The product is of remarkable quality
But
It would be nice to have a more complete userguide: with the current trend, we're sending rockets in with the 3 cm by 4 cm userguide, in 42 languages.
I may have made a mistake, but I thought I was buying a Readis iris + scanner pack.

Arrived on time. Packaging was good and set up straight forward. First attempted to use on a printed edition of Encyclopedia Brittanica to see how well the software dealt with the thick volume and curvature of the page. Worked OK but was hoping it might have worked better.

I didn't find any negative aspect, dimensions, control, connectivity all together make up your good product

I have not been able to get the product to work and have unfortunately not been able to get technical support or help of any kind to overcome whatever the problem is.

Iriscan Book WiFi was Exactly the tool I needed.

I purchased a Desk 6, not a Desk 5. I am having trouble figuring out how to convert a simple PDF to Word. Can someone help me?

1. Shipped quickly but did not get accurate tracking and notification from shipping company about delivery.
2. Newer software version that allowed plugging in without a restart.
3. Much higher resolution (20M pixels that made more accurate OCR conversion to readable text.
4. Great center of book curvature readability IF you center book on binding line with little skew.
5. Overall, highly recommended for those scanning books (I used 10mm thick glass plates with no direct lighting to block reflection and to minimize book damage).
