I purchased a two-year plan for Intego Mac Internet Security X9, which was offered at a discounted price of £40.79. This amount was clearly displayed on the payment page. Therefore, I was taken aback to see that the amount charged after payment was £111.59, which also appeared as pending on my credit card statement. This figure was confirmed in the email I received from Intego. Initially, I suspected that I had made a purchase through a fraudulent website; however, the site was indeed legitimate, prompting me to submit a ticket to their Support Desk. Subsequently, I received an automated response suggesting that the issue could be due to my browser, display, or button errors—an unsatisfactory reply. They advised me to contact the Sales Department, assuring me that they would assist in rectifying any discrepancies. Unfortunately, no contact information was provided, so I resorted to using the chat feature, which repeatedly directed me to a nonexistent webpage outlining the refund request process. I explicitly requested to speak with a human representative, which was eventually facilitated. They have since processed a full refund. I was encouraged to consider maintaining the subscription, but I declined. My rationale was that my trust in the Intego Internet Security is somewhat eroded if the charging process is a problematic as this. Despite making hundreds of previous internet transactions, this is the first time I've experienced something such as this.

I subscribed to the Intego VPN app a year ago and promptly forgot that I even had it on my computer. A reminder of the impending automatic annual payment came a few weeks ago but I forgot all about that too. When Intego duly informed me that they had taken the money from my account, I asked them to belatedly cancel my subscription and refund me - a long shot, I reasoned, but worth a try. To my surprise and gratification they agreed to do this despite the fact that the fault lay entirely with me. A welcome human touch from a friendly and approachable company. I can recommend their Internet Security suite too. Top marks.

Clear app but would suggest some sense of timing shown when a scan is being undertaken.

Running Tahoe 26.1, initially I had problems with Netbarrier blocking my internet access. After running Netupdate and installing the updates Internet access was restored.

Trusted software that appears to be continuously developed. Only request is for automation of updates to virus scan and having to manually check for updates each day and assume there must be a better way. Also, some confusion on the course of action to take when viruses are found and quarantined. The pop-up that you get only gives options for trust and quarantine; the delete option is missing. Also would be useful to have more descriptive information as to what this means and insights into specifically why Intego has quarantined the specific files, understanding of the specific treat and potential impact if this issued was not captured by Intego or released, and any recommendations. This would be a most welcomed improvement. Keep up the great work, you have a fine product!!

Intego really works well! Been using for years. Would have been better to be able to upgrade online without having to go through support.
