I called this afternoon as I was struggling to get my cats details transferred over to my name from her old owner, everyone I spoke to was amazing and the wait on the phone was never long but Daisy (if i remember her name correctly) was absolutely amazing! Considering she only started a 2 months ago she was able to figure everything out, resolve my problem effectively, communicated what the problem was, great amazing customer service and fix everything for me. She’s an absolute stand out star! Thank you so much, Rory and I are very grateful! <3

Require you to enter a £15 per year subscription model in order to do trivial things like update your address, which is illegal under right to rectification under UK and GDPR regulations.
This discourages people from keeping their pet's microchips up to date, thereby making the whole system pointless.
I'd recommend owners go with a free to update service like MyPet instead.

Sometimes you wonder if the microchip is still doing its job.
Peanut had his chip inserted by identibase as a puppy and I am pleased to say it’s still there after 8 years.
I had a health check for him at the vets and the chip bleeped straight away. Vey reassuring to hear

Identibase has been an amazing company for me so far, i did have my boy neutered and chipped a couple of months ago and i’m glad i have the peace of mind knowing i can find him if he gets lost. my cheeky boy loves going out on his harness to eat grass to eat grass, my boy loves his grass but it is very very comforting to know if by chance my boy gets lost by wanting to be cheeky and try and run out his harness or trying to be sneaky and run past me when i’m going out im so comforted to know he’s chipped just incase, and the last time i had a phone call with someone at identibase they were very helpful and very understanding of me and my situation which i’m so thankful that i’m understood

I registered for the Identibase Identialert membership after my cat went missing, as there was no clear way to report a missing pet on their website without joining the membership plan. What they make extremely unclear during signup is that you are agreeing to a 12-month contract.
When I realized this, I immediately emailed to cancel within the cooling-off period. I was told that because I had identified my cat as missing, I had used the service and was barred from canceling—even within the cooling-off window. I followed up by phone to see if a customer service representative could rectify this, but they refused to help.
They provide very little clarity on what you are actually paying for, and the lack of transparency around contract terms feels predatory—especially when pet owners are in a vulnerable, panicked state with a lost pet. Given that pet owners don't choose which microchip company their pet is registered with, being stuck with this service is even more frustrating.
Avoid their paid services if you possibly can.

I had problems checking the migration of my dog's microchip number to Identibase - the system wouldn't let me log in so I rang to try and get some help. I spoke to Luke who was extremely efficient and very helpful and got me logged in within a couple of minutes - thank you again!

New to Identibase and while one of my rehomed cats was already registered and transferring her to me was straight forward. I had several issues trying to add the second cat who needed to be re-chipped.
Identibase staff were very helpful and resolved my issue with speed and politeness and responded to my emails in a timely fashion.

I would not recommend Identibase based on my experience: After reviewing my bank statements, I discovered that I had been paying two separate annual direct debits for what appeared to be the same service. Between 2022 and 2026, an additional £150 was taken from my bank account in February (£30 each year).
What concerned me most was that when I logged into my Identibase account, only my June renewals were recorded. The February payments were not shown anywhere on my account or invoice history, so I had no way of knowing they were being taken or what they related to.
After raising the issue, Identibase staff, including Jacob and Jasmine C, acknowledged that the duplicate payments had been taken and said they were investigating how they had been processed separately from my main account. However, they refused to refund the full £150, stating that their refund policy only allows refunds within 14 days of a payment being taken, despite the fact these payments were not visible on my account and therefore could not reasonably have been identified sooner. They only offered to refund the two most recent payments (£60).
As a customer, I don’t believe it is reasonable to expect someone to discover payments that are not even displayed in their online account. Had the February debits appeared alongside my normal June subscription, I would have challenged them years ago.
I run the Animal Watch YouTube channel, and many dog owners ask me which companies I trust. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Identibase. I will be moving all of my dogs, including my well-known wolfdogs Ocean and River, to another microchip registration company.
I am extremely disappointed by how this has been handled and hope Identibase reconsiders its decision to refuse reimbursement of the remaining £90.

Absolutely Devious!
I received an email today telling me one of my cats identity chips needed some attention... so I logged into my account... it was just identichip trying to get me to upgrade my plan with them. Becasue they are so devious, I will not be upgrading my plan with them EVER and I will be putting people off from using their services.
I HATE this kind of deviousness from any business. Trying to get me worried about one of my cats chips just to try and sell me a better package... Absolutely disgusted... AVOID!

Our 15 year old dog died 3 months ago and i let identibase know, they kept sending me marketing then an email to update details online, i tried but all i can see is marketing..tried to phone but as i am not my husband they said couldnt talk to me. Absolutely no visible Gdpr issues
Silly rule and seems like a marketing ploy and will be treating as junk emails as i have tried to update their systems..oh and they are sorry for our loss...patronising

Very helpful sorting out a problem with my account ensuring both dogs were fully covered by the missing pet protection plan.

Awful. I need to update my address and phone number but it will only allow you to do so if you upgrade and pay £15.
