I wish more people knew about Houfy — they have an incredible platform with all the same features (and more) that Airbnb and Vrbo offer. You can even integrate your reviews from other sites directly onto your Houfy profile. The system gives hosts far more flexibility: multiple guest payment options, funds received in advance, and easy tools to add municipal taxes. Best of all, there are little to no additional fees for either guests or hosts. It’s a total win-win for everyone involved.

I host a single property and decided to try Houfy.com as a way for returning guests to book directly with lower fees and without a lot of additional setup on my end.

I recently received my first booking request through Houfy and was hoping the experience would be similar to the other platforms where I list my property—just without the fees. So far, it has been exactly that.

I received the booking request as expected, and the guest was able to complete the deposit payment directly through the Houfy website. The deposit showed up in my Stripe account just as expected. It appears that I will need to send the payment link for the remaining balance closer to the check-in date, although there is also an option to enable automated payments, which I may use in the future.

The reservation details are easy to view, and the pricing breakdown is clear and straightforward. Overall, I’m glad I started using Houfy and think it’s a great option for hosting returning guests who want to book directly.

Houfy was exactly what I was looking for. It allows me direct bookings without the fees that big name platforms charge. The link it connects my guests to is professionally done and user friendly.

I am still learning ......It took sometime to find out how to contact you personally but once I did the response time was very prompt. Had to set up a zoom call and Nicholas was wonderful. He took his time and had patience with me...very professional. The best thing about it is now I know I can reach out with any questions or problems I am having with confidence I will get a real person who cares about me learning and knowing how to navigate the platform. I am still learning but I feel with every booking I will get better AND my questions can be answered with only an email away.

Houfy still has some technical bugs to sort out, but overall it works well as a vacation rental platform that allows guests to book directly with hosts, cutting out $100s in AirBnB/VRBO fees. I will say that I see them rolling out new features, so I'm hoping the user experience continues to improve for both guests and hosts.
