I booked a hotel showing that portable cribs are available, as I had a child under 2 with me. After finalizing I called the hotel to confirm that fo have a crib available for me. They said they don’t. I called Hotel tonight and asked for a credit ( credit, not a refund) to rebook a different hotel. They call me back in an hour or so to let me know that it’s my problem and they won’t issue ANY type of refund or credit. See other reviews online they are complete fraud. Never using them again.

When you're locked out of your room for hours due to outdated electrical locks, and the hotel they find you is under renovation with no pool and muffins and frozen juice only for breakfast........
Do "NOT" expect Hotels Tonight to lift a finger to make any of it right even when none of this is mentioned anywhere prior! Either they have no clue about the hotels they work with, or they simply could care less about any complication that potentially ruins your trip. The follow-up is a one time generic email that offers zero reimbursement or regard. I'm taking up my issues with BBB and Visa because that's completely unacceptable and people need to know. Oh, there's a reason the rooms are marked down. It's not just a slow night at the hotel and they want to book rooms quickly....
The rooms they give you via this third party are absolutely appalling. Got lucky one time out of three when using this particular company. I have a feeling that their vendors give them the very bottom of the barrel. Having reached out to them myself I can see why.

As an avid hotel traveler, I figured I would give this Hotel Tonight App a shot for a discount rate. Just like the other reviews, it's a SCAM. They never send a confirmation e-mail and then when you get to the hotel there is an "up-charge".

Don't do it!

Hotel tonight is a joke ! Book a hotel and once we arrived we did not feel safe there. Super 8 by Wyndham has screens missing and windows missing. Never got our money! Would never recommend this service!

As a hotelier it is not our preferred channel. Communications with the company is difficult and settings are constantly changed without our input causing guests to pay a higher price.

Would not refund for a booking error discovered within a few minutes of booking. Will never use this website again.

After arriving 3 am and they knew i will arrive late I was told they can't find a room for me it costed over $600 for the night, I had to wait with a cranky wife for over two hours for them to try to fix it.

When the couldn't they offered me a credit for $75 with a list with terms of when you could and couldn't use it.

honestly the booking itself was very easy; however, the customer service was beyond awful. I only used this site because they had a promotion running at the time (10% of booking if using Apple Pay) which I utilized; however, the app was not working during the booking time period so I reached out to customer service to get this resolved and the did not take any of the comments into consideration. The price for booking via hotels.com was the same price available through the hotel website. Going forward, I will actively avoid using this app and discourage others from using it too. Very disappointed.

Complete scam! My daughter prepaid for 2 nights at a hotel, got to the hotel and they didn’t have a confirmation and made her pay AGAIN! No response by any of the customer service numbers for hotel tonight.

At 10 pm I found a room for 1 night next day. Was offered a Apple Pay special. Was redirected to authorize payment thru Apple Pay. Next morning I received an email asking about the room? The date reverted to yesterday when I returned to the HT site. No change, no credit. They claim you have to trace the logo to confirm. Not so. Scammers.

Booked a room for 6/30/22 in Charleston, MO through the app. We arrive get our room get everything unloaded then find out the toilet does flush. I go to front desk they give us another room load everything up and get there and the room was trashed and beds not made. Went back to the front desk and they said they had no more rooms that they would refund us the money. We today I was told they refunded HotelTonight and HotelTonight refuses to refund me my $91.00. So they got my payment and refund payment from hotel. Crooks! I will never use this company again. We had to drive an hour futher to find a room.

We’re very disappointed in this app. I downloaded the app to find a room for my mom and not only was the price misquoted, the hotel also wasn’t anything like the pictures so now my poor mom has to couch surf for the weekend

My husband is traveling for a funeral out of state. Booked a room using my app (he is listed as a guest) hotel wouldn’t honor reservation because I wasn’t traveling with him. Hotel Tonight called me to verify my information, then told me there was nothing they could do??? Because it was “not modifiable”?? There was no modification needed. Same number of people, same room, and they accepted payment. Even though he is listed as a guest on my app, because I am not physically there, they said there was nothing they could do. Couldn’t cancel on the app either. Waited on hold for 30 minutes for a supervisor (that never came to the phone) finally told her to just cancel it. Then she said a refund would take 5-7 business days?? For a payment they accepted 2 hours ago? Their CSR “Mitch” was so unhelpful and clearly didn’t care at all about helping us, even when told the reason WHY my husband was traveling. Her attitude and manner was indifferent. Have gotten more empathy from an automated menu. Do yourself a favor and read the Apple App Store reviews and never give this company a dime of your money. Airbnb owns them now. They should be ashamed.

Hotels tonight is a fine site UNTIL you run into a problem. There customer service and policies are so Un-customer friendly, that it’s hard to believe they are still in business. I booked a prepaid hotel room in NJ. I called the hotel that day to let them know what time I was arriving and request a king bed. They said they had blocked off a room for us. We arrived as scheduled and they told us they were sold out and had no room for us at 11pm at night. They secured us a room in another hotel. We were charged double our original rate by the new hotel and hotels tonight refused to return our money even after confirming the first hotel never gave us a room. In short, we paid for two hotels for the same night. Trying to deal with Hotelstonight and get them to do the right thing (or anything for that matter) is like herding cats. They belong in the E-commerce hall of shame!

While I appreciate speaking to someone who was extremely friendly, it would be a better experience if they held the hotels you reserve accountable in their customer service. I reserved a room at the Ramada by Wyndham Keystone near Mt Rushmore through Hotel Tonight. Through great difficulties, we arrived extremely late to check in. The desk clerk addressed me like a used car salesman that i should have called them to let them
know i was going to be late to check in. I asked the clerk what difference does it make when i check in as long as i check in before check out? The room is already paid for so the hotel is not out of any money. The clerk said in very condescending terms that everybody knows you have to call the hotel to let them know you are arriving late. Having realized that I was not going to get anywhere with this “clerk”, I immediately called Hotel Tonight Customer Service. The young lady was very pleasant and listened to my grievance. A few hours later i received a reply from Hotel Tonight that they would only refund their fee from the hotel. So needless to say, i was out of the room and money. i found another hotel through Booking.com and got immediate check in! Never again Hotel Tonight

I actually was very surprised that this was a subsidiary of AirBB. We rented a room at the Hyatt Place Miami Airport East. We got in at 2 am and went to bed. Got up in the morning to no working shower or water in the room. None! No working phone. This was a handicapped room also. I notified my bank upon immediately checking out and I was denied a refund by the desk. I was really surprised at the behavior of the front desk staff because the Hyatt staff us normally very responsive and professional in my past experiences. This hotel tonight is not a good way to make reservation, and I don't recommend it. They really don't care about the customer. Don't book through here.

I was only going to Columbus, Ohio to visit my son. He told me it might be a good idea to try hotel tonight. I made reservations and I did read that there were no cancellations. When I got to the hotel they put me in a handicapped room that all you could see was an air conditioner. I went downstairs to speak to the front desk person and he didn’t seem very happy to help me change rooms.

Once I got back to my room, I checked to see how much a room would cost per night only to find out that I have been charged approximately 55% more! Priceline had the same room for $117 and I am paying $212!!

I tried to speak to someone from Hotel Tonight and just got a run around so, just to give you all a heads up, I did find out that you need to see what the room price is the day before. If you can get a better price, they will adjust it. AND IT’S ALWAYS NO CANCELLATIONS. If you get a room through the hotel yourself, you can ALWAYS cancel with no fees.

They said they would offer me 30 euro towards my next stay due to a customer service issue, and that the voucher would be in my account. I never got the voucher or code etc. and their instructions on how to claim it must have been referring to some distant version of the app/platform that no longer exists. I just gave up after too many customer service emails explaining the same problem.

It's just not a great product; it's called "Hotel Tonight" but if you wait until that night to book something, the one discounted hotel will likely be 40 miles away. Then, the other hotels that *are* available nearby are just way cheaper if you ring the hotel's reception or go onto booking.com.

We have had good experiences with hotel tonight BUT the only thing is that when you book through them you will be treated poorly when checking in. The resort, all of them,WILL give you the worst room they have as you have usually paid a lower rate than most. If you are ok with that, HT will be a good option.

This is absolutely the worst website. They charged me for hotel they said they would cancel. We went ahead and booked another hotel and hotel tonight charged us for the canceled reservation. Now they are saying they can’t refund the first hotel because they have a strict no cancellation policy. If you enjoy spending hours on the phone with the Philippines then go ahead and use the site otherwise I suggest you book direct.
