No issues at all with booking

No issues at all with booking. Had slight reservations after reading earlier reviews, so checked directly with hotel before travelling. Hotel quickly confirmed booking, so was happy with service.

Avoid

They asked for passport and a copy of credit card with last 4 digits blacked out to verify the booking due to a check for fraud which I sent a few mins after they asked, then they cancelled the booking anyway. That request should have been for their own internal checks, the booking should have been secured but it wasn't so it was all clearly made up.

Why are they advertising rates that haven't agreed with the hotel? It's just wasting people's time and getting customers personal details for god knows what reason.
As per below review this could be fraudulent so I wouldn't book with them. They shouldn't be asking so many people (not random as they say - all the reviews are saying similar things) for ID and pictures of credit cards, very suspicious.

Please note that these checks are made in order to assure the security of transaction and they are random (not for every reservation).

Unfortunately, as per your conversation with our customer service, the hotel requested was not able to accept the reservation and we were not able to find any alternative accommodation so we have been forced to cancel the reservation and the authorization to charge, too.

Please accept our sincere apologise for any inconvenience this matter has caused to you.

Angry about having to pay a cancellation fee

When I made the booking I was very satisfied with hotelsclick.com. It was quick and simple.
Unfortunately, I had to cancel my hotel booking 3 weeks before the date. I was very surprised to be charged a 25 euro cancellation fee. I was told that it was written in the small print under the terms and conditions but I do think this is totally unfair. I would have understood if it was within 48h but not 3 weeks.
Because of this, I will not be using hotelsclick.com again to make a reservation.

This is an identity theft scam

This is an identity theft scam. Beware.

The confirmation request was a request for my passport and credit card via a suspicious email asking for a scanned copy of these documents. This is for a domestic travel reservation that in no way required a passport. Further, the hotel confirmed that they never actually made a reservation. Hotelsclick never made a legitimate reservation, it was not "cancelled" later as they claim. The only logical explanation for this is a fraudulent attempt to steal my identity.

We had not heard of this firm before.

We had not heard of this firm before booking and was bit nervous of booking and read the odd bad feed back so was bit nervous.
But we can defiantly say we would book with them again, The main thing you have to do is get your hotel voucher from them, if you do not receive it contact them for it as your hotel is not confirmed till you receive it.
We had one of the best holidays in Berlin with them thank you.

Hopeless

I booked a hotel in Cuba with these guys but when I arrived there was a problem with the booking that I needed help to resolve. Unfortunately I found HotelsClick quite useless -- couldn't get past low-level staff with no idea and no empowerment to do anything useful, while struggling with Internet connection in Cuba. I ended up resolving it directly with the hotel management, but I was left really unimpressed. I recommend using one of the (many) other booking agents because if there's a problem a booking through this one, you're likely on your own.

Update: as soon as I posted this hotelclick disputed it's veracity so I sent through the booking details to TrustPilot, twice, and still below hotelsclick 'wants to respond but doesn't have the details', which goes to prove the point -- hopeless!

we kindly inform you that after verifying your booking, we have found that you contacted our customer care the day after your check in date in order to inform them that you arrived in the hotel with 2 children, but, at the time of booking, you had selected only 2 adults.
In this case it is correct that you need to pay for the supplement for the children directly in the hotel.

Please accept our apologies if our agent didn't assist you the way you expected but unfortunately we don't have any possibilities to amend your booking or add other people on your booking once the check in date is passed.

Everything was on pointe

I too was apprehensive about using this booking site. I checked and double checked to make sure everything was done prior to my trip to Cuba. Everything worked out great. The only reason I didn't rate a 5 was because the first time I contacted the hotel in Cuba, they said they didn't have the reservation, but Clickshotel resent the information and there were no problems when I arrived.

Happy and surprised.

I was extremely apprehensive to use this company, but was pleasantly surprised. Especially after making payment and then receiving a call from my bank to say that they had never heard of them!!!! No problems at all. My booking was as we expected and e were very happy with everything.

Great Service

I found the transaction for booking accommodation via HotelsClick to be very easy. I tried to contact the hotel on several occasions prior to our stay and did not receive a response from the hotel, I emailed HotelsClick who followed up my queries on my behalf and responded accordingly. Thank you

Good booking experience

We got a great last minute deal via this website. Received the confirmation email on the very day that we made the booking and when confirming with the hotel that the booking had gone through, they did immediately.

Manchester Centre Hotel

I went onto the site to find hotels in central Manchester and got a very good bargain within two minutes walk of my destination for the weekend. Booking was simple with vouchers through straight away and I would be happy to use this process again for a similar search for a hotel. All information was very clear.

Thank you for a fantastic deal I had. I very much doubt if I ever find a deal like I had again.
Yes i will definitely use this website again, I'm always looking for bargains.
After I booked I was a bit apprehensive because I read quite a few bad reviews, but maybe I was very lucky and honestly it was the best deal I encountered in my whole life!
A suggestion regarding this particular hotel I been through: Since they have 3 buildings, they have different kind of rooms. They have the deluxe rooms, which are like a normal hotel with bedroom and bathroom. But then they have appartments at the back buildings with kitchen. There are 1 bedroom appts and they have also 2 bedroom appts.
So please put the description of the rooms correct. For example what is exactly a standard room? Let the hotel give you exact description. Like I said before this hotel has different kind of rooms.

I had no issues..and a great 4th weekend.

I was looking for a reservation for Cavallo Point in San Francisco which is in historic Fort Baker and usually always either unavailable or available only for $500+ per night. I booked using my phone thinking it was expedia but was redirected to hotelsclick. The deal was too good to be true. Then i looked at all the negative reviews online and panicked. in fact, these negative reviews had me sweating bullets until I went to the hotel. Had no problems whatsoever.
Got a great room. BTW, this was the second weekend in a row that we stayed at Cavallo Point. The first one was booked through Booking.com. This one cost me half as much for a much better room. So i have no problems recommending HotelsClick. It is not a fake site and worked well for me.

Shameful on Customer Care has become

They are terrible and not direct with information about their policy. Called the customer care to verify that this is the case and might be my problem as I might not ahve read the fine prints but instead was greeted by a rude customer care person, Raising voice, condescending.

I would not recommend this site at all, There are other options out to be used and I would suggest to use them

WARNING

WARNING! When you book a room they give you a cancellation deadline of 10 days but if you cancel before the deadline they will charge you 25.00E
This will be the last time I book with Hotels Click I'll continue to use other hotel booking sites.
