Exploding Sunroof Glass
2021 CRV 1.5 petrol.
Got into car 0700, started vehicle and sat waiting for the wife there was suddenly a huge bang and the rear panoramic sunroof glass just exploded.
Myself and my daughter were covered in glass and shaken up.
After googling the problem this seems to be happening on CRV's globally.
So phoned Honda and complained, I also explained to Honda I was an ex employee of 23 years and currently ran 2 Hondas all of which have full Honda services.
I was told off the record this was a known problem. But my car was 6 months over its warranty but because I was a loyal Honda customer and ex employee it would get sorted and not to worry.
Well obviously none of that accounted for anything as I didn't even get a phone call back just an abrupt email stating Honda do not recognise the fault (which is bo##ocks, they know about it) and my car was out of warranty so Honda would not support the repair.
I will never buy or service another Honda after this treatment. Customer service is lovely on the phone but they obviously don't care about anything but money.
Bye bye Honda, I'm off to trade in my cars for a manufacturer that cares.
FAULTY BRAND NEW Honda Forza 125
Purchased a Honda Forza 125, and the handlebars were bent, with loose steering right from the start. Had to wait for a warranty fix, which shouldn’t have been needed on a new bike. When I picked it up, the steering was still off. The technician, Sam, forced the handlebars straight, making the steering even looser. They sent me on my way like that.
i then took the scooter to another bike company and had them look over the bike and they confirmed loose steering and no way it could be corrected within minutes.
Completely unprofessional and negligent. I expected better from Honda but was thoroughly disappointed. Would not recommend.
I am now in the process of involving the relevant parties to get this sorted, as Honda Bike Chiswick has proven to be clearly incompetent and unable to handle the issue professionally.
Superb Customer Service all round
I dunno if it’s post code lottery seeing some reviews here. I have nothing but excellent service from the TEAM at Honda Gatwick Sussex.
I’m not exactly well at the moment. I can’t even speak properly, hard for whoever picks up my call. However the patience , attentiveness, professionalism and just plain old kindness are found in spade loads with this team.
Thank you AND the driver Dave who delivered my car back home just now . Even valet clean !
And I’m a Motability user !!! Much appreciated.
Keep the excellent work up. #HondaGatwick

Took my car in for its first service on…
Took my car in for its first service on 18th September - Honda Chiswick. Rude, aggressive behaviour from one of the "service" team when checking in the car; escalated to the service manager who was - if anything - even more rude, aggressive and misogynistic. Have reported to Norton Way Group and Honda UK - will be interesting to see what they say or do.
Bad paint job
Bad paint job. On August 15th 2024 I washed my 2019 honda civic at a self wash as I was rinsing it, I noticed paint flaking off the back window. I took it to bill pearce honda dealer I brought it from and was quoted almost $5000 to fix it. (Apparently there was more then just the area I saw.) They contacted honda and was informed that paint warranty expired, but as a good faith gesture they would split the cost of painting $2500 each. This car is only 5 years old. I also spoke with honda customer service and they stated warranty was closed and the only way they would fix it was if they got more complains on the paint work. Needless to say I wouldn't buy another car from them. Honda USA is a fraud they don't honor their workman ship and use cheap low quality paint for their cars. I have pictures but can't post them in this review.
I first bought a 2022 demo CRV EX L on…
I first bought a 2022 demo CRV EX L on Saturday December 17, 2022 night as I was told there were no new EX L CRV's available. At the end of the purchase and signing the paperwork I saw damage to the vehicle along the doors, drivers rear back panel, chips everywhere on the hood of the car and was told it would be fixed. I asked for the manager Andrew but was told he was gone for the day. I was not happy the damage was not disclosed to me before the sale. The dealership was closed on Sunday so I called at 9:00 am Monday morning December 19, 2022 and spoke with the manager Andrew. He said bring in the vehicle and we would work things out since they somehow got a new 2023 CRV in. When we sat down to discuss the matter he said he would trade in the CRV from Saturday evening at a $9,600 deficit to me. So I ended up spending around $9,600 more than the listed price. This is truly a rip off to a 71 year old man. Not happy with the treatment and price that was extorted from me. I contacted Honda Corp. filed a complaint and they called the general manager Mr. Shamoun head of Used Cars Sales but he refused to negotiate with them. Honda was not pleased with him misappropriating $9,600 for 36 hours depreciation. Honda sent me a $400 loyalty card as they were embarrassed but said each dealership is franchised. Other reviews I read recently complained of the same treatment I experienced so this maybe their standard procedure stealing from senior citizens.

Honda Red Deer was amazing
Honda Red Deer was amazing. This is my second time leasing a vehicle from them. The transition was smooth I got everything that was promised and I am a very very happy customer. Thank you Veronica and Miranda for everything. I would never go anywhere else.
The worst dealers ever
During a recent visit to Cardiff Honda, I was informed that two of my tires needed to be changed. I trusted your team to perform this service correctly. However, immediately after the tires were replaced, a warning sign appeared on my dashboard. Concerned for my safety, particularly as I suffer from an autoimmune disease that affects my mobility, I returned to Cardiff Honda to address this issue. To my shock and dismay, I was dismissively told that there was nothing to be done about the warning and that it should simply be ignored.
The warning persisted, and after four additional visits to different Honda branches for checks, I was finally informed by Honda Chiswick that my vehicle failed its MOT because the tires installed by Honda Cardiff were of the wrong size and unsuitable for my car. This negligence not only explains the persistent warning sign but also placed my safety at serious risk over the last year and a half.

Recently purchased a 2003 accord for $500 and it looked like it had been sitting in the desert with the hood up and the windows down. I didn't have a car at the time and it ran, so I took it home and cleaned it from top to bottom and am simply amazed that a 21 year old vehicle drives this smoothly. Amazing ride quality, super comfortable and roomy with a freezing cold ac and a great original sound system!

2021 Honda Pilot remained parked in the back most of the time
I brought my 2021 Honda Pilot EX-L in for its 35,000-mile service and spent several hours at the dealership. My Service Advisor was Victor Navarro. While my wife and I waited in an upstairs office, we couldn’t help but notice that our 2021 Pilot remained parked in the back most of the time. Despite this, I was charged an astonishing $450.37 for the service. I have photos to support this situation.
Honda LawnMower HF2417
Honda LawnMower HF2417
Just a toy really, difficult to cut even dry short grass, just bungs up. I mainly use it to pull a little trailer with garden tools in it, and use a hand mower. Never again, you need a professional job for these tasks.
bad Start
I brought a Honda HR/V Hybrid 6mounth old I was worried about the battery going flat as have never owned a hybrid and was unsure about the car. .The sales person informed me this never happens !!! The car obviously hadn’t been checked before going out the garage also a wheel chip was supposed to be done and wasn’t.The next day it wouldn’t start.!!! When I rang the garage I was told it’s under warranty call them out. I only purchased it the day before I said to them. I then ask for my own car back and take there’s away as that is a really bad start in my opinion. The manager was very argumentative saying they had lost money on the sale but nothing to what I lost out on. I ended up paying £385 on a car I never owned.I have brought 3 New Cars in the past and never had a problem with the sales manager or the car. Will not go with the Grimsby garage again .

Stay away from Whitby Honda
Stay away from Whitby Honda, especially for used cars. I bought a certified 2016 Honda Civic in April 2022. When I picked up the vehicle my wife noticed the windshield had a bad chip with cracks at the top passenger side. I had just went from the dealer to my daughters about two km away and my wife saw the chip then. I went right back and showed Dan the salesperson. First he said that could have happened when you took it off the lot. I said I was only gone 5 minutes and assured him that wasn’t possible on side streets that are all paved. He agreed it was not likely however I was annoyed he would even go there. He then said because it was above the field of view and on the black part of the windshield (which made it hard to see) it wasn’t part of the certification. I was further annoyed and disagreed. He called the service manager who oversees the certification and he said it shouldn’t have been certified and needs to be replaced. This is an American made car and it would take a couple weeks to order and replace. I said that was fine since this was a second car. I also mentioned the brakes felt rough and they’re was a noise coming from the vents. The service manager stated the brakes passed inspection and we’re fine and the AC noise is normal. So I left my vehicle to have the windshield replaced. I picked up the vehicle once the windshield was replaced and took it home. Later that year when I had the snows rotated for summer, my mechanic, whom I fully trust and has always been straight with me, advised me the brakes and rotors were badly worn and all need replacing. I found this unusual since I had only put around 5,000 km - mostly highway - since purchasing. I asked him why they would have worn so badly so quickly. He said based on the condition he wouldn’t have certified since the wear overall far exceeded mileage driven. So my concern about the brakes at purchase was valid however it was ignored by Whitby Honda Sales and Service.
Now for the AC… during the recent heat wave in early September my AC could not keep the vehicle cool. As I stated earlier at purchase I had mentioned an odd noise that the service manager stated was normal. After some investigating I found that this year and model of the Honda civic has a defect where the condenser corrodes due to the refrigerant used. I called Whitby Honda and talked to the service department and they checked and stated it was an American car however was covered under the extended warranty due to defect. There would be a charge to analyze however that would be waived if it was a condenser issue. If anything else was wrong I would be charged which I understood. I made the appointment to get the AC checked. I brought the vehicle in and when I went through the procedure at Service admittance I mentioned the defect Warranty. The lady at the desk stated there was no warranty since this is a US car. I told her I was assured during the appointment phone call that it was. She then took me to the Service manager who echoed the same. I was really irate at this point having been run around by Honda already. I told him I had advised sales who did not take my concerns seriously when buying the car. I mentioned the issues with the brakes and AC concerns. The Service manager just stated that sales and service are independent which is BS since I bought this car from Honda and bringing it to Honda Service. I could care less about their sidestepping accountability. In the end they basically said it was all on me… the fact that they certified with worn out brakes and a broken windshield and discounted my concerns about AC noise at purchase has nothing to do with Honda. Even though they sold me the car they won’t stand behind it.
The moral of this story is that you need to know that Honda will dodge and ignore any concerns once they have the money. After that they want you to service your vehicle there to take more money that you will spend because of the vehicle wasn’t truly certified. I feel cheated and lied to.
Stay away from Whitby Oshawa Honda.
Rip off artists
Sold a lemon that they refuse to service or return. Broke down twice in the first three weeks of ownership and currently sitting in their service center, service refuses to service it despite an extended warranty.
