This is not a legal company - they can not offer legal advice and are not solicitors. When you pay you will be passed on to a solicitor and they will be awful. Both my ex and I were fooled by the positive ratings and both had extremely awful experiences. If you are considering using Homeward, I suggest you look at the Trustpilot reviews for Ackroyd Legal or PM Law as these are the solicitors you will actually be working with. A simple transfer of equity that should have taken 6-8 weeks took 7 months which was extremely stressful and upsetting. Avoid at all costs, pay for the real deal.

Couldn't imagine having a worse experience - I beg you please do not make the mistake I made and fall for the cheap price and charming salesmen - this company is a bad choice for your conveyancing.

If you are used to the conveyancing process or have bought houses before you may find homeward to be a good cheap option, but if it's your first purchase or you are at all unsure of the process, absolutely avoid Homeward legal at all costs, you will truly regret using this company.

They use very dodgy solictors - for example when I was first assigned a solicitor he was not registered with the SRA (governing body for solicitors).

Every step of the process felt like an absolute slog, having to move absolute mountains just to get an email response to the most basic questions. Once this started up with the solicitor I contacted homeward legal to see if they were able to help with communication or getting a registered solicitor. They ignored all of my emails except 2, laughed off my issues and said my solicitor was "their mate, we work with him often" and were not able to resolve any issues or help with communication.

All issues came to a head on day of completion, when my solicitor, who had not confirmed the final monies paid to him, completely dissapeared. Myself, a family member and the estate agent all spent over 2 hours on hold trying to speak to him. Just at the point we all believed we had been scammed and money stolen, and natwest were opening a fraud investigation, he reappearred at 16:40, 20 minutes until chance of completion was lost, and confirmed payment was made with no apology.

I contacted Homeward legal several times to try and get some help reaching "their mate" but they deflected and were unwilling or unable to help.

Using homeward legal was I believe the worst decision I have ever made in my life, it made what should have been a positive, exciting time, into 7 months of anxiety and worry. At no point did it ever feel like the conveyancing was being dealt with correctly.

I would just like to thank Homeward Legal and Chris for helping me and my girlfriend to start the conveyancing process on our first property!

This can be quite a scary experience as it’s not something you do everyday however the team at home legal have put our minds to rest and have put us in touch with a good solicitor.

It’s also great we are protected by the no completion nor fee in the event the property falls through!

I have had a rubbish experience with this company. They are just middle men in the process of finding a solicitor. They promise you a lot but don't deliver.

My solicitor owes me £100 and has for around 2 months now. I keep calling them to sort it out and they keep saying "Yes I can see this on your record. We have escalated it." Not sure who is dealing with this now but they never get back to me in the time frame promised and are unsympathetic and frankly don't care once they get paid.

I would seriously avoid them and just spend an extra 1 hour searching for solicitors near you to use instead. I was promised loads including an "app" that I could use to track my progress.... which I was never given access to.

I have now received my refund after almost 2 months of chasing. As you have mentioned below, I did have some benefits using your service. But the lack of proper communication and stress this company has caused has completely removed any benefit. I had to keep calling you to get things sorted and initiate almost all if not all of our communication.

I would have happily lost the funds that you “saved” me instead of having to deal with this company. I am usually a very calm and nice person and it’s one of the first times I’ve lost my cool over the phone. It was constant lies from them saying that it’s been escalated.

It’s a shame to see you blame this solely on the solicitor but it does show how your general attitude is. The solicitor didn’t stop you from sending me an email or having a quick phone call to update me did they? I heard nothing from you for over a month, I understand the actual sending of the funds was down to the solicitor. But the way you handled communication was awful. No one had answers, it was always escalated to this magical manager that for all I know didn’t exist. I didn’t speak to them or hear from them.

Home buying is stressful enough. Don’t add this to your plate when you do it.

I chose Homeward Legal as I wanted an 'all-in-one-place' for my conveyancing with the back up of a national company should something go wrong during the house buying process. Homeward Legal had very good reviews so I chose them. From the outset I was assigned to Mark who was really helpful and explained everything from fees, to searches and was at the end of the phone should I need to contact him.

The first purchase fell through, after contacting Mark he assured me that their guarantee held firm and that I would not have to pay for further searches.

The solicitors I was put in touch with were professional and helpful and kept me informed all through the process.

I'm sure Mark would have continued to be helpful and available should I have needed him, however the whole process went through quickly with no issues.

I would definitely recommend using Homeward Legal and having Mark as your main point of contact.

Fairly straightforward to obtain a quote online and I was contacted by the company straight after to ask if I wanted to proceed. Deposit for the service was collected over the phone. I have been provided with contact details for the selected solicitors and now await their contact. Hopefully their service will be equally efficient.
