I bought a sunflower all wreath last Saturday and within two days the flowers began falling off. I put them back on but each day more and more flowers fell off. After 3 days I took it down and returned it to the Stony Brook store the Friday after I bought it, 6 days later. The manager said we can't take it back because it's been used and not cannot be sold. She also accused me of trying to glue the flowers which never occurred to me. After having to plead to return it she said she would do a one time courtesy of giving store credit. Their products are inferior and quite frankly junk! Save your money, shop Michael's or Amazon.

We bought a sofa from the store in Thurrock. Being a large item we could not take it on the day so asked the staff to keep the sofa until we booked a slot with Anyvan as recommended by Home Sense. I was told by the sales assistant that the sofa will be held in storage and wrapped up so it would not get damaged. Unfortunately when the sofa was delivered there was no cover to protect it and on top of that there is a cut on the underside of the sofa. Plus when I bought the goods the sales assistant was in such a hurry she could not wait to finish the sale and I found her not very polite. I doubt if I will ever shop there again. No customer service. Those days are gone!!

Went in to get some new cookware with my mum, only to then have eagle eyes glued to me and my mother and being given rude and invasive looks and treatment by the security guard in the shop.....doesn't make you want to shop there really

I used to shop here all the time but in the last couple of months, all the stuff I buy from there either breaks really easily or it’s just cheap quality! Also, take down the Halloween stuff! We are only in August! Ut has been up since July! For God’s sake! Get your priorities right!!

When i visited this store earlier today, I was appalled at the behaviour of the male security guard. I am a 16 year old girl and he followed me around the whole rime without good reason and it made me feel very uncomfortable. After I had paid for my items, he continued to stare intensely at me in a creepy manor before growling at me or making a very weird noise as i left. I felt completely violated and i will not be returning until this security man is dealt with !!

I felt very uncomfortable walking around the store because the security guard was following me, my sister and my mum around the whole time. And when we went to leave he growled at us and gave us dirty looks although we didn’t do anything wrong or steal anything.

Just felt like a complete inconvenience to the staff at the till. There where 3 members of staff around till chatting to another customer. Looked like out of uniform staff member. The till lady called me over with her eyes. No other communication. No basic manners don't expect this kind of service for a store like this! Puts you off going back

Worst website ever - totally useless!
360 tour is worthless - not sure why they spent the $s since you can't find what you want nor an ability to get product info.
Bought a planter box, they only had one, but I needed 2. There is no online shopping to get a matching one. No store invertory, so I have to go to each store near-by to see if they have one - they don't.
BIG SHAME - we like many of the products

I had such a disappointing trip to the Rugby Homesense store at Elliot’s Field. My friend had recommended the store to me as it’s dog friendly. So I went along, I browsed downstairs then went up to the second floor to the kitchen section, to be met with a very brisk and abrupt member of staff who’s opening words were “you can’t bring dogs in here, there are lots of breakable expensive items, its guide dogs only, there’s a sign on the door”. The sign is the size of a postage stamp. There are plenty of more polite ways to express this and it helps not to look customers up and down like they have just stolen something. As far as the expensive, breakable items go, John Lewis seem to make it work for customers so I’m sure HomeSense could have a go. I have two, well behaved small Pomeranians with a combined weight of 4.5kgs, not two Great Danes. Thankfully, Sofology were much more welcoming so I spent my money in there instead.

I was gift a Christmas candle as a present for Christmas, After I burnt this candle for an hour or so my eyes became very itchy to the point I couldn’t bear the itch or discomfort, the following day my eyes were in so much discomfort and pain I tried to get some treatment from the chemist, which they recommended some antihistamines and eye drops they worked for a few days then the itch came back, over the course of several months my eyes were pretty much the same having phoned the doctors and being prescribed antibiotics and oil based ointments and nothing else working having to wear make up to cover the state of my eyes,in the end i ended up with steroid cream for my eyes the doctor stated that I have dermatitis/eye ezcema it’s took me 5 months to get my eyes and the itch and dry skin more a less back to normal,I still go this day have the odd flare up from the scent of these over priced candles, getting in touch and emailing backwards and forwards to dw home they tried to offer me the price of the candle, It’s not the price of the candle it the point of what this candle has done to my eyes and how low I made me feel over the 5 months I suffered I’m absolutely disgusted in this company…
It’s just a shame I can’t post any pictures of the state my eyes over the time period!!

Paul Dacle at the homesense store in Taplow is a credit to the company. His customer service was exceptional. I have received by far the best customer service I have received recently. I never usually leave reviews, but I honestly felt the need to this time around as he went beyond expected and helped in every way possible. A very satisfied customer!

Popped into the Gloucester store today for Union Jack rug, throw, cushion covers and kitchenware (red and blue) all Union Jack colours related. Nothing at all. The store seemed to be lacking it’s usual stocked up range on all items. I asked a member of staff if any Union Jack related or Coronation related items would come in and she did not know. This was my 3rd visit in a month and the store items certainly are not as good as they used to be and it is expensive.

popped into the branch in cheltenham to see what it was like and ended up being helped by a lovely member of staff, Cara, who was very friendly and helpful, made sure we had everything we needed and took her time helping us out properly and talking through everything we needed and were looking at, making sure we felt looked after and made the right purchases. also had other staff helping us move things and load them into the car as they were large and heavy garden furniture, all super helpful and friendly :)

I wanted to buy about £100 worth of planters but was told by the only available member of staff that I would have to arrange delivery myself by phoning one of the 2 delivery companies they have an arrangement with.
I was under the impression that you could request delivery for a price and all would be sorted.
Very disappointed and Homesense lost a sale.

Disappointed by the Staff at the Lincoln branch. I was purchasing Garden ornaments [large Resin type] and chose a Iarge Budha. Most of the large items did not have price tags visible so it meant lifting large items to see underneath. A kind staff member [Paul] assisted and agreed it was not good as difficult to even reach some items. I was interested in the Large Dragon at 79.99. I was also interested in the smaller Dragon which did not have a Price Tag at all ! Amy was then called over by Paul. Amy was definitely not Service orientated. First she guessed the Price !!! Thought it was 79.99 but didn't really know. She was content with a 'guessed' Price, I was not. I asked her to try to find the true/ actual price. Amy said that would take 24hrs ! I then explained I don't live local but would appreciate if she would call me. Amy refused to take my contact details to update me with the price in 24hrs, quoting GDPR at me ! Other shops take details and provide receipts or other info. This was a lame excuse. Clearly, no matter what I did to try to Buy this item, Amy was not going to offer me the service she should do. In wondered if Amy knew that shops intentions are to 'Sell' goods. I left with '0' purchases and put the Budha back. I asked for the Area Managers details but despite quoting to me that she was a,Manager,, she had no idea which branch the Area Manager was located at. She did provide his name. The lack of service Amy provided lost the Branch a sale of circa £200. I've since purchased the similar items elsewhere.
Post Reply: I have tried calling the number provided. It does not connect/ work.

Homesense at Thurrock - staff very helpful especially Parvesh and Donna, who helped to source garden pots for us tonight. Many thanks to both of them. Bali

After checking the closing time online ( 20.00) I travelled 16 miles to arrive there just before 19.00. Only to hear over the tannoy the store was now closed. So travelled the 16 miles back home having had a wasted journey. Even though it said online that the closing times had been confirmed by the business only 3 weeks ago.

The Manager in Gloucester was wonderful. My car had broken down outside and the Security team would not authorise me to stay overnight(although I had no choice). She applied for authorisation on my behalf so at least I wasn't worried about getting fined whilst I waited for my vehicle to be repaired
